CUTTING AND CLEANING OF VEGETATION BY BUSH CUTTER IN AIRFIELD AREA AT AF STN, CARNICOBAR

Cutting of wild vegetation, including grass, shrubs, bushes, etc., in the airfield area, including the shoulders of the runway, PTT, links and other miscellaneous areas, in a shave off pattern to ensure that the height of the vegetation does not exceed 150 mm above ground level by using atleast 3 Nos grass/bush cutting machines with operators and fuel as required, and all cut out vegetation shall be removed from the Airfield area as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge in consultation with User. Notes for SI Item No. 1 (i) Cutting/trimming of vegetation shall be carried out to maintain the height of the grass not exceeding 150 mm above natural ground level throughout the contract period. The frequency of cutting/trimming shall be as required and as directed by the Engineer in Charge in consultation with the User. (ii) The Contractor, his employees, workmen, materials, machinery, and equipment shall be permitted to enter and exit only through such gates and at such times as may be permitted by the GE or the authorities/User of the restricted area, at their sole discretion. The Contractor shall comply with all traffic regulations applicable within and outside the restricted area. (iii) The Contractor shall remain responsible for complying with all applicable labour laws, including the Code on Social Security, 2020, the Occupational Safety, Health and Working Conditions Code, 2020, and the Industrial Relations Code, 2020, as amended from time to time.
