MCI being a Coastal Installation of southern India, the facilities in the location are exposed to Hot and Humid weather along with salty winds from sea due to which there is high corrosion rate at MCI. Painting of Product Tank nos. Tk106, Tk110, Tk108, Tk101, Tk100A and Tk100B has been done in the last 2 years and are in good condition. However, balance Product and Water Tanks, Pipelines, Compound Walls, Sheds, Gantries, Watch Towers etc. are not painted for more than 5 years now. View above, it is desirable to carry out the painting of the balance facilities to maintain the overall health in an aesthetic manner in line with the BPCL Policy and procedures. Tender verified.
