REPAIR/ RESURFACING OF ROAD AND ALLIED WORKS NEAR 14 EME, FPD, 222 ASC, 203 ENGR REGIMENT AND ADJOINING AREA UNDER GE (NORTH) UDHAMPUR

Repair to pot holes any depth, not exc 1 sqm each including sweeping free from dirt and mud of water sunken surface in roads, paths etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth making good by appling tack coat on bituminous surface with cationic bitumen emulsion RS-1 grade conforming to IS:8887 @ 5 Kg per Ten Square Metre, putting in Pre-mixed bituminous macadam, well rammed and sealed with binder 9.8 Kg per 10 Sqm, binded with 0.09 Cum of stone chippings, 6.3 mm size and again well rammed (including supply of premixed macadam, binder and chippings), depth of pot holes exc 30 mm complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engr-in-Charge.

Preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with compressed air to remove all loose dirt etc., and applying evenly a tack coat on existing black top surfaces with cationic bitumen emulsion SS-1 grade conforming to IS:8887 @ 5 Kg per Ten Square Metre and including Bituminous premix asphaltic semi dense concrete 30mm consolidated thickness with 5.5% paving bitumen using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) binder content by weight of total mix laid , rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Premix bituminous macadam with 4% paving using bitumen VG-30 paving grade ( 50 -70 penetration) bitumen binder, laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness upto maximum 75mm), complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge. Note: Repair to pot holes any depth not exc 1 sqm each depression in patch over 50mm, shall also be carried out under this item.

Note for item No. 1 to 3 : (a) Preparation of mix in hot mix plant, spreading by self propelling mechanical paver and rolling and compaction by set of rollers as specified in particular specifications shall be carried out. Hot mix plant may be installed at any distance but the contractor shall be responsible for maintaining the required temperature of mix under all conditions till it is laid and compacted. Unit rate against these items shall include for carrying out the works with deployment of these machinery for which nothing extra shall be payable and no delay in completion of work shall be acceptable on this account. (b) To achieve marshal stability of 1050 KN and all as per SSR Part-I Clause No. 20.B.4. (c) If qty of binder contents is less than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ, it shall be adjusted at supply only rates of paving bitumen @ Rs 60.00 Per Kg and if qty of binder contents is more than the qty as specified in respective items of BOQ no adjustment shall be made.

Making strip straight line, zebra crossing and stop lines not less than 2.0 mm thick with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint of approved brand (white or yellow) including admixture layer of glass beads confirming to BS-6088 and MOST specification by using automatic mechanical road marking machine including cleaning of all dirt, scales oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete, all as specified and as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Cat Eye of size 110mm x 120mm x 20mm made of aluminium, two reflectors fitted in the body, weight of cat eye 130gm approx, designed for dynamic loads fixed in repair including fixing arrangements as per manufracturer's instructions,fixed in repairs, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge. Make : Cat part No DA-972 of make Dark eye or equivalent in performance of make Greenlite/Yash/Gunnebo/makes specified in PS.

S& F Delineators (Delinator GP DA-952) made out of ABS (Astronitrilite Butadiene Styerene) round body fitted with 2 Nos. 100 mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA materials and mounted on MS pipe of 50 mm dully powder coated, anti rust & anti theft steel net of color Red/White/Yellow/White combinations. Dia of pipe 65mm pipe, complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.
