Annual Rate Contract for sheeting work for various shed and Gantries at Rahtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers Limited Trombay Factory, Chembur, Mumbai-400074 for the year 2026-27

Removing Existing Mangalore tiles / AC / GI / Galvalume Sheets/polycarbonate plain and corrugated sheets from roof / cladding / partitions etc., excluding supporting structure but including scaffolding, handling, transporting, sorting and stacking at site within premises and or disposing etc complete as directed.

Refixing existing material after sorting and cleaning, removed from the existing structure as discribed in Item no. 1/provided by Dept. using 8m dia polymer coated iron L or J hook bolts, galvanized iron & bituminous washers, or self drilling fastners and EPDM washers, galvanized iron clamps, nuts and bolts including sealing the existing holes with suitable material, scaffolding etc. complete and as directed. (if upto ten nos sheets are provided at one location (isolation) actual sheet area will be paid else Net Area covered by sheeting will be measured. Overlaps will not be paid separately)

Providing and fixing 6 mm thick Non-asbestos high impact Polypropylene reinforced cement corrugated sheet of approved make conforming to IS: 14871-2000 laying the same in position as per the stipulation in IS: 3007- 1991 using 8m dia polymer coated iron L or J hook bolts, galvanized iron & bituminous washers, or self drilling fasteners and EPDM washers, galvanized iron clamps, nuts and bolts etc. complete and as directed up to height of 6.0 m from point of available support. (Net Area covered by sheeting will be measured. Laps will not be paid separately).Overlaps will not be paid separately. Sheets of 'Charminar' of HIL, ' Greencor ' of RAMCO, 'Hi- Tech' of Everest or equivalent shall be used. Ridges will be paid separately. The rate is including 8 dia G.I. Hook bolts and nuts, washers minimum 2 hooks shall be provided to each purlin covered by the sheet. Note: For replacement of up to 10 Nos. of sheets at any location, actual area of sheets will be paid ( Lap will be included). Rate includes scaffolding if required from safety point of view.

Extra & over Item No. 3 and 4 for use of color coated sheets. (Sheets to be used as factory color coated or color coating done at site as directed using single coat of approved primer and two coats of anti-algal, anti-fungal exterior paint by using acrylic based exterior paint with silicon additives at one side of sheet and single coat of approved primer at other side).

Extra & over Item No. 2, 3 & 7 for use of SS L or J Hook bolts of 8 mm dia, nuts, washers confirming to SS-304, including rubber washers complete. The rate include use of EPDM washers. Approval of Engineer- In- Charge shall be obtained before using SS hooks.

Providing and fixing ridges / hips of G.I. sheets of 0.63 mm thick ( with zinc coating not less than 275 gm/ m2) having overall width 60 cm, using 8 mm dia. Galvanised Iron, J or L hook bolts and nuts, plain and bitumen washers or self drilling fastener and EPDM washer etc. complete. In all case of lesser thickness of sheet or lesser zinc coating rate will be reduced proportionately.

Providing and fixing in position UV resistant, fire retardant, virtually unbreakable and temperature resistant (-40° C to +130° C) Polycarbonate corrugated sheet of 2mm thickness for roof of approved make to match the roof profile at any height with G.I. J hooks bolts of G.I. clamps nuts & bolts or with self drilling fastener and EPDM washer etc. complete as directed. Rate includes scaffolding if required from safety point of view.

Providing and fixing single skin trapezoidal profiled sheeting 930 - 1020mm cover width 28-32 mm crests depth at 186-250 c/c ( above 195 mm c/c crest distance there will be minimum 2 ribs at the centre for stiffening). The feed material shall be manufactured from AZ 150 (min. 150 gms/sq.mt total on both sides) Zincalume / Galvalume sheets of minimum yield strength of 550 MPa, 0.45 mm BMT, ( 0.5 mm TCT excluding paint coating thickness), metallic hot dip coated with Al- Zn alloy (55% Aluminium, 43.5% Zinc, 1.5% Si ) as per AS 1397 / IS15961 & painted with Super Durable Polyester Colorbond steel XRW or equivalent quality paint system of apporved color, suitable for exterior application conforming to AS/NZS 2728:2007 type-4 / IS15965:class3 of approved make. The sheet shall have a total coating thickness of 35 microns, super durable polyester paint system of 20 microns on exposed surface and 5 micron reverse polyester coat on back surface over 5 micron primer coat on both surfaces. The paint system shall have stable inorganic pigments for color durability. The product will be fastened using no.12-14x55 mm (or as per design requirement ), mechanically coated with 25 micron Zn-Sn alloy or hot dipped zinc coated with min 40 micron hex self-drilling fasteners with EPDM washer of approved make confirms to AS3566:2002 class 3 including erection, de-erection scaffolding. Colour Coated Galvalume/zincalume sheets for roofing and cladding.

Providing and fixing ' self-adhesive waterproofing bituminous membrane' of 1.5mm thick with cross laminated polyethylene film on upper side, after application of copatible modified bituminous primer as per manufacturer's specifications and as directed. Material of following brands, M/s Sika, M/s Texsa, M/s Chemistik, M/s Tikdan or equivalent shall be used. Rate includes scaffolding if required from safety point of view.

Providing and erecting two legged metal tubular scaffolding (cup lock type or H- Frame type or Scaffolding with clamps) of width any width largely free standing using H frames of tubular pipes of minimum 40mm diameter, with base plates fixed or adjustable with necessary clamps, coulders, brackets forprojections, joint pins, pulleys and other accessories including steel angle or tubular pipe bracings at adequate intervals, access platforms of metal or timber planks of span not exceeding 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work including provision of rubber inserts to pipe ends at point of contact with structure to avoid damage, including access ladders with intermidiate platforms. The scaffolding to be suitably braced and anchored to to the building using support systems created temporarily at the opening in walls using vertical and horizontal adjustable props on the exterior side of building structure, upto 25 metre height, above ground level or from firm platform. Note:- This item will be applicable only if height for sheeting work is more than 6.0 m from the ground level and the quantity of sheeting to be fixed, replaced or removed is less than 21.0 Sq.M. at one location and job could not be done by Articulate ( Provided by RCF Ltd. free of cost)/ if Articulate could not be made available by RCF Ltd. However for measurement of the scaffolding, height of the scaffolding will be considered from the closest firm plaform level or terrace level as decided by EIC. Requirement/ Scheme of the scaffolding shall be got approved before start of the work.
