M&L for providing and lying 3mm thick APP (Aractic ) polypropylene polymer) modified prefabricated five layer, weight not less that 3.6 Kg/Sqm water proofing membrane, black finished , reinforced with non-woven polyester matt make as approved, consisting of a coat of bitumen primer @ 0.40 Ltr/sqm by the same membrane manufactruer, of density 0.87 to 0.89 Kg/ltr at 25 degree celcius temperature and viscosity 70-160cps. Over the primer coat, the layer membrane shall be laid using butane torch and sealing all joints etc after preparing the surface complete as per standard practice as per manufactrer's instructions. The vital physical and chemical parameters of the membrane shall be as under :- (a) Joint strength in longitudinal and transverse direction at 23 degree celcius as 650/450N/5cms. (b) Tear strength in longitudinal and transverse direction as 350/250N/5cms. Softening point of membrane not less than 150 degree celcius. Cold flexibility upto 20 degree celcius when tested in accordance with ASTM (D-5147). (c) The laying of membrane shall be got done through the authorized applicator of manufacturer of membrane only.
