REPAIR MAINTENANCE TO EXTERNAL ELECTRIC SYSTEM , LT PANELS AND OTHER CONNECTED WORKS AT POOH, KHAB AND NAMGIA DOGRI UNDER AGE EM WE IN GE 863 EWS

Excavation in trenches not exc 1.5 Mtr wide and not exc 1.5 Mtr in depth in soft/loose soil for removing the exiting UNSV underground cables of steel tubular poles / stay pit etc and all as specified and directed by Engineer - in - Charge.

Returning and filling in two parts (i) using riddled soil obtained from excavated soil upto depth of 30 cm (8 cm below cable and remaining above cable for cushioning of cable and (ii) refilling the trench of remaining depth with normal excavated soil complete all as specified and directed. Note- Excavated soil shall be riddled by using sieve to separate composite particles etc as per refilling in trenches as in cable cushioning.

Removing excavated surplus material of item ser No 1 to a distance n exc 50m and depositing where directed at level n. exc 1.5m above the starting point complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking down the torians/PCC cover and M&L for laying dry bricks old size with subclass 'B' made of burnt clay best quality locally available with permissible tolerance, laid straight trench for protection of cable all as specified and directed

Dismantaining the exisiting M&L for cement concrete (1:4:8) type D2 with 40 mm graded aggregate for poles foundation etc all as directed by Engr- in - Charge.

Dismantaining the exisiting M&L for cement concrete (1:3:6) type C1 with 20 mm graded aggegate for pole coping & road crossing etc including foam work complete all as specified and directed at site.

Cutting of road /Hard standing to a size of 30 cm in width and not exceeding 90cm in depth for laying of protection pipe /cable including spreading, leveling, watering and well ramming in layers and providing PCC in 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate, complete all as specified and directed.(PCC will be paid seperately)

Testing the cables with high voltage DC testing machine and locating the fault in the cables by fault locating machine to pin point exact position of fault, disconnecting faulty 1100 V LT cables of different sizes from both ends, removal of Fault, Re-connections and testing of cables after removal of fault complete all as specified and directed. Note: (a) Cable & joints shall be measured and paid seperately under respective items of schedule. (b) Retrieved old serviceable cable cover/bricks will be laid in trenches for cable protection. If extra PCC cover/bricks and sand required at site shall be measured and paid separately under respective items of BOQs. (c) Excavation and earth work will be included under respective items of schedule.
