M&L for preparing black top bituminous surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc., sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with air compressor through air jet to remove all loose dirt etc and applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm of road surface by sprayer operated on hot pressure mechanism, providing, laying, spreading 30mm thick (consolidated thickness) of premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading uniformly by means of Mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller and Vibromax roller to a uniform smooth surfaces complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) Job mix formula shall be approved by CWE. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Computerised print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor.

M&L for providing, laying, spreading premix bituminous macadam with crushed and graded stone aggregate mixed together with 4.5% of paving bitumen of grade VG-30 by weight of total mix including heating bitumen to the required temperature, mixing bituminous macadam in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant, laying, spreading by means of mechanical paver and rolling and consolidating to the required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75 mm or less) with 8 to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and as directed. Note : Job mix formula of premix bituminous macadam shall be approved by CWE.

M&L for repairs to pot holes, not exc 1 square metre each, including sweeping free from dust and mud, or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, on existing road surfaces, and making good applying evenly a tack coat of paving bitumen primer of grade VG-10 at the rate of 05 Kg per 10 Sqm, putting in premix Semi Dense Asphaltic Concrete (SDAC) with crushed and graded coarse aggregates as per design based on Job mix formula with 5.5% bitumen binder content (bitumen of Grade VG-30) by weight of total mix, well rammed, including supply of SDAC, depth of pot holes not exc 30mm, complete all as specified and as directed. Notes : (i) Job mix formula of SDAC shall be approved by CWE. (ii) Paving bitumen primer of Grade VG-10 for tack coat and bitumen of Grade VG-30 for semi dense asphaltic concrete shall be used and shall be procured by the contractor under his own arrangement and at his own cost. (iii) Cost of all the materials, T&P, labour etc. required for preparation of surfaces, applying tack coat, providing and laying semi dense asphaltic concrete including procurement of bitumen as specified here-in-before, stone aggregates & sand etc., rolling and all other elements required for entire completion of the job shall be deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted for this item. (iv) Computerised print out of data of bituminous concrete in automatic and temperature controlled hot mixing plant shall be provided to the GE by contractor. (v) This item shall not be executed, measured and paid for repairs to pot holes existing on the portion of road surfaces which shall be carpeted under serial item No. 1.00 here-in-before and shall only be executed, measured and paid for repairs to pot holes existing on road surfaces which are not to be carpeted.

M&L for Thermo plastic road marking 2.0 mm thick painting (lines, dashes, arrows, letters etc on new or previously treated road surfaces) with road safety spikeries glass beads including preparation of new or previously treated road surfaces and applying paint by using special applicator machine with heating arrangement complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F delineator with ABS round body fitted with 2 Nos 100mm dia highly reflective reflectors made out of PMMA (Polymethyl Methacrylate) and mounted on mild steel pipe of 50mm dia duly powder coated, anti rust & anti theft steel net, overall 800mm height, delineator shall be fixed in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) block of size 300mmx300mmx350mm deep, including necessary excavation & earthwork, complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling and taking out old unserviceable / broken delineator of any type. Notes :- (i) Delineator shall be of Model “DA 952 GP’ of make ‘DARK EYE’ or equivalent of make GREENLITE / 3M / TATA BP / Avery Dennison / Alexis / Oscar / DEV / Surya / Sharp Eyez. (ii) Reflectors shall be positioned at the best eye guiding level so that drivers shall be warned from a safe distance.

S&F road safety Convex Mirror of size 800mm dia made of one piece polycarbonate lens with hood for road turning, intersection, curves, ‘T’ junction, etc, unbreakable & strong, mounted on & including 2.50 metre long vertical pole made out of 50mm bore mild steel medium grade pipe duly powder coated, fixed with adjustable clamp, pole fixed in plain cement concrete 1:2:4 Type B1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) block of size 450mmx450mmx450mm deep including necessary excavation & earthwork, complete all as specified and as directed including dismantling of old unserviceable / broken mirror with pole of any type & size. M&L for continuous Jodhpur stone slab edging, not less than 7.5 cm thick, 30 cm to 35 cm wide (for depth of edging) and 30 cm to 45 cm long, laid dry vertically, jointing and pointing in CM 1:4, each stone slab self faced on both the vertical sides, edges slightly true and square on top edge, hammer dressed for the full thickness so that the depression from a straight edge held against the surfaces shall not exceed 20 mm between two joints of slab including necessary excavation and embedding stone edging to depth required and tamping ground around stone edging and also including spreading surplus soil on berms complete all as specified and as directed. Notes :- (i) The stone slabs shall be laid abutting to each other in such a way that thickness of edging is equal to thickness of stone slabs and depth of edging is equal to width of stone slabs. (ii) The stone slabs shall be obtained from “Chitter quarry” at “Jodhpur”. (iii) In case edging is laid on both sides of a road, each side of road shall be measured and paid for separately.
