COMPREHENSIVE MAINTENANCE OF AIR FIELD INFRASTRUCTURE RUNWAY PAINTING, EPOXY FILLING, CRACK REPAIR, DRAIN CLEANING, GRASS CUTTING AND SIGN BOARD ETC AT AF STATION BAMRAULI

Material and Labour for preparing of existing construction / contraction / dummy joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out Joint 10-12mm wide and 27mm deep average, cleaning sticked material on sides of joints with grinder/ any other mechanical mode including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 15mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed.

Note :- (i) Material obtained from removing of existing filled up materials shall be removed from out side MOD land. (ii) Site shall be handed over based on flying operations. contractor will be informed as soon as possible with a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accordingly make arrangements for adequate labours and material for work completion.

Material and Labour for preparing of existing expansion joints including removing filled material in joints of runway by removing the cracking out Joint 20-25mm wide and 38mm deep average, cleaning sticked material on sides of joints with grinder/ any other mechanical mode including removing all loose material and cleaning the joints with brush and removing all loose fine particles with compressed air and providing a suitable dia polyurethane back up rod/debonding strip and top 13mm primed and sealed with using polyurethane based sealing compound with suitable primer as per manufacturers recommendation polyurethane sealent complying with BS-5212 & BS -4254 and EN 141875 -2003 ( for hydrolysis / water resistance test ) priming the sides with minimum MAF± 30 % (with ten years performance guarantee ) and applying masking tape on edges of joint to prevent accidental spillage of sealent and removing the masking tape after sealent is applied complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for cleaning of craks of depth up to 40mm and width up to 30mm in bitumeneous surfaces with mechanical blower and applying bitumen based hardner primer and filling with bitumen crack filler of joint sealer bitumeneous grouting material complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Work shall be carried out by authorised applicator of firm. (ii) The warranty of material shall be three years from the date of completion of work.

M & L for cleaning of cracks of depth up to 50mm and width up to 30mm in bitumeneous surfaces with mechanical blower and applying bitumen based hardner primer and filling with bitumen crack filler of joint sealer bitumeneous grouting material complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Work shall be carried out by authorised applicator of firm. (ii) The warranty of material shall be three years from the date of completion of work.

M & L for cleaning of cracks of depth up to 20mm and width up to 15mm in bitumeneous surfaces with mechanical blower and applying bitumen based hardner primer and filling with bitumen crack filler of joint sealer bitumeneous grouting material complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Work shall be carried out by authorised applicator of firm. (ii) The warranty of material shall be three years from the date of completion of work.

M & L for cleaning of cracks of depth up to 20mm and width up to 15mm in concrete surfaces with mechanical blower and applying concrete based hardner primer and filling with PU sealant crack filler of joint sealer Polyurethane grouting material complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Work shall be carried out by authorised applicator of firm. (ii) The warranty of material shall be three years from the date of completion of work.

M & L for repair to broken/damage portion of concrete slab or pavement of surface area not exc 1 sqm by cutting damaged portion to slab /spoils edges to triangular / rectangular cross section with mechanical cutter and removing all loose and foreign materials and depositing the same to out side MOD land and cleaning the surface by compressed air to remove all dust dirt etc and washing with hydrochloric acid and filling with epoxy resin mortar after application of epoxy primer as per manufacture instructions bull nosing the edges complete all as specified and directed. Note :- (i) Material obtained from damaged portion of concrete slab shall be removed from out side MoD land. (ii) working hours may be restricted due to flying operations. (iii) Unit quoteed rate shall be deemed to included the cost of power supply required for cutting of damaged portion of concrete slab of runway.

M &L for preparation of old painted concrete/bitumen surfaces with washing down soap water of runway, taxi track road for painting with cold retro-reflective paint including spreading of 500 micron size glass beads (350gms/Sqm) by using mechanical mode of application as lines, dashes, arrows, letters and the like exceeding10 cm width or girth and applying one coat of runway road marking paint aqua based retroreflective type golden, yellow, black, orange or white colour as approved by Garrison Engineer to give uniform finish complete all as specified and directed. Make : Asian Paint Apcotrak-WBR or equivalent

Note :- (i) Masking tape/steel/wooden frame or template should be used on edges of paints before painting work and removed the masking tape after paint is applied where ever required and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. The contractor has to ensure that, the lines, dashes etc marked with paint shall be in proper shape and finish as required. Any errorneous marking shall be make good by the contractor on his own cost and nothing extra shall be paid on this account. (ii) Site shall be informed as soon as possible wiht a minimum 02 days notice period. The contractor shall accordingly make arrangements for adequate labours and material for work completion

Cutting of existing Runway/taxi tracks at cracks and at spalled edges upto a minimum depth of 25 to 35 mm by mechanical tools making groove at edges cleaning through air blower/air blastisng and applying propriety primer on the cleaned surfaces to obtain tack and finally filling in ELASTOMERIC CONCERETE of make Choksey Chemicals/CIPY/BASF or equivalent (prepared by mixing part A, part B and adding fiberglass sand all as per manufactureres instructions) and properly mixing in purpose made mixer plant electrically operated) to obtain a homogeneous mix and finally tooling the surface with hand tools to obtain a grooved textured finish. Note: (i) The rate shall include for providing masking tape at joints and form work required if any at spalled joints edges. (ii) The quoted rate deemed to include for making good the disturbed joint filling around the area where material is applied. (iii) All material shall only be procured directly from manufacturer.

M & L for preparation of old painted bituminous surface of runway / road for painting lines, dashes,line/dashes/arrow /letter and the like exceeding 10 cm wide or girth and applying one coats of runway road marking paint (golden yellow/ black/ white aqua based) to give uniform finish complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) Painting shall be carried out by runway painting machine. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator as approved by GE.

M & L for preparation of old painted concrete surface of runway slab/ taxi track/ dispersal for painting lines, dashes, line/ dashes/ arrow /letter and the like not exceeding 10 cm wide or girth and applying one coats of runway road marking paint (golden yellow/ black/ white aqua based) to give uniform finish complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. Note: (i) Painting shall be carried out by runway painting machine. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator as approved by GE.

M & L for preparation of old painted concrete surface of runway slab/ taxi track/ dispersal for painting line / dashes/ arrow letter (FOD marking) and the like exceeding 10 cm wide or girth and applying one coats of runway road marking paint ( golden yellow/ black/ white aqua based) to give uniform finish complete all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. NOTE:- (i) Painting shall be carried out by runway painting machine. (ii) The work shall be carried out through authorised and qualified applicator as approved by GE.
