Excavation in earthwork in hilly area all heights and depths, in all kind of soil including saturated soil comprising of mixed soil, ordinary rock and hard rock. All work of rock cutting by blasting shall be carried out by taking all necessary precautions against soil erosion, damage to hill side, water pollution, etc. and to protect stability of hill side. Rock shall be excavated with chiseling and wedging out rock (where blasting is prohibited). All earth work in cutting/excavation, including rock excavation shall be carried out true to lines, grades, side slopes, width, camber, super-elevation and level as shown on the drawings or as directed by the Engineer-in-charge, in conformity with the requirement of technical specification clause 1603.1 & 1603.2 to achieve designed formation width including hauling and stacking of material useful for construction at suitable sites and safe disposal and dumping to be arranged by the contractor of unsuitable cut materials in specified manner , trimming, filling of unevenness, blindage and finishing of the road to specified dimensions or as directed by the Engineer-in charge for smooth riding. The recovery for useful stones, for 1968.94 cum. (One thousand nine hundred sixty eight point nine four) @ Rupees 300/= only (Rs. three hundred only) per cubic metre shall be effected on pro rata basis in all circumstances. Any loss to the public and private property during the course of excavation shall be the absolute responsibility of the contractor, which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.

Rock shall be excavated with chiselling and wedging out rock( where blasting is prohibited) including cutting and trimming of side slopes and disposing of excavated earth with a lift upto all heights and all leads as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge, in conformately with the requirement of technical specification of rural roads clause 1603.1 all useful material such as stone, shingle, aggregates& slate etc. shall be sorted out and stacked along the road side properly. Any loss to the public and private property to during the course of execution shall be the absoulte responsibility of the contractor which shall have to be duly compensated by him in all cases.
Earth work in excavation for structures as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 305.1 including setting out, construction of shoring and bracing, removal of stumps and other deleterious material and disposal upto all leads , dressing of sides and bottom and back filling in trenches with excavated suitable material in ordinary soil upto all depth. as directed by the Engineer-in-Charge.all useful material such as stone, shingle, aggregates& slate etc. shall be sorted out and stacked along the road side properly. Providing and laying cement concrete 1:6:12 (1 cement:6 sand : 12 graded stone aggregate 40 mm nominal size) and curing complete excluding cost of centring and shuttering. . including all leads and lifts as per directions of Engineer in Charge.

Providing and laying of boulder apron laid in wire crates with 4 mm dia GI wire conforming to IS:280 and IS:4826 in 100 mm x 100 mm mesh (woven diagonally) including 10 per cent extra for laps and joints laid with stone boulders weighing not less than 25 kg each as per drawing and technical specifications Clause 1301 including all leads and lifts as per directions of Engineer in Charge. including all leads and lifts as per directions of Engineer in Charge.
