Bitumen / Bitumen Sheet Removal

Removal of existing APP Membrane from roof , areas around exhaust fans, around roof periphery in any building as decided by Engineer, disposal of same within the TAPS-3&4 boundary as identified and finalized by Engineer inclusive of labour, tools, tackles, additional arrangement for removal as applicable , bringing down the same to ground level, loading, transportation and unloading the same at identified location.

Lead charges for 1st 1 KM or part thereof, by mechanical transport including loading unloading, stacking / levelling etc.

Removal of existing Bitumen sprayed over Screed concrete from roof slabs of main plant buildings, initially by scrapping with floor scarifier , mechanical tools and finally by grinding and cleaning of surface, including removal of bitumen from joint / cracks in screed concrete, cleaning of joints as per specifications, disposal of debris/ dust at identified location within TAPS-3&4 boundary and to the satisfaction of the Engineer. The surface prepared shall also be certified, as acceptable for application of water proofing membrane system in writing by the manufacturer of Polyurethane Water Proofing Membrane to be applied at site. The rate shall be inclusive of all labour, tools and consumables etc.

Repair of roof surface

Testing of screed concrete for its soundness by conducting pullout strength test for screed @ 1 no/ maximum 30 sqm area (subjected to minimum one test/ building roof) or as decided by the Engineer. The test shall be done in presence of Manufacturer for Water Proofing system. The quoted rate shall include providing the testing machine and all other tools and skilled manpower for conducting the test.

Testing of screed concrete for its soundness by temping in complete area and removing of all loose concrete and disposal of debris within TAPS-3&4 boundary as finalized by the Engineer, as per technical specification, inclusive of all tools , labour, bringing down the material to Ground level, Loading, Transporting and Unloading. No extra payment shall be made for concrete testing by temping under this item. Note- Only quantity of removed concrete shall be paid. This item also covers the cost of removal of screed which fails soundness test in pullout test

Supply of material and filling of patches where loose screed/ concrete is removed, filling of local depression to maintain proper slope for rain water drainage or wherever required as directed by Engineer using dual shrinkage compensated, flowable micro concrete as per technical specifications, including all labour and materials etc. The payment shall be made based on the quantity of dry micro concrete used for repair.

Providing and laying in position specified grade of plain cement concrete, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing at all level including all leads and lifts (1 cement : 1.5 sand : 3 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size )

Providing, centering, shuttering Form work using steel plates, timber planks for all types of structures including necessary strutting, proping, staging, supports, bracings etc. and deshuttering the same after the specified time all as per drawings, specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge at all levels

Opening Cracks /Cutting V grooves in screed , cleaning and filling cracks/ joint / grooves in screed using single component PU based elastomeric joints sealant .The rate shall be inclusive of all labour, material, tools and consumables etc. Payment will be made as per consumption of sealant

Repair of / RCC walls / Masonry Walls

Removal of loose plaster from the existing surface and replastering it including racking of joints upto 10 mm deep and disposal of same within the TAPS-3&4 premises as approved by the Engineer. The rate shall be inclusive of tools, labours etc. complete.

Cleaning of reinforcement/ structural steel members using mechanical wire brush cleaning including removal of delaminated concrete, and applying rust converter as per technical specification. (Payment shall be made based on the consumed quantity of rust converter only).

Supply and Application of two component zinc rich epoxy/ epoxy phenolic coating over reinforcement bars/ structural steel members as per technical specification. (Payment shall be made based on the consumed quantity of epoxy only).

Supply and Application of SBR latex or compatible bond coat over the old concrete/ screed surface in affected zone as per technical specification. (Payment shall be made based on the consumed quantity of bond coat only).

Supply of material and filling of patches where loose screed/ concrete is removed, parapet repair , preparation of chamfer at roof- parapet wall junction, or wherever required as directed by Engineer using dual shrinkage compensated, trowel-able fibre reinforced thixotropic repair mortar as per technical specifications, including all labour and materials etc. The payment shall be made based on the quantity of dry mortar used for repair.

Curing by using self-priming, water based acrylic polymer, multi-role curing, curing compound complying to ASTM C 309 Type II Class B & & ASTM C 1315, in the areas as decided by Engineer, including of Labour, Materials, tools & equipment etc.

Supply and application of compatible acrylic primer & protective Anti Carbonation coating system for concrete and masonry surfaces of approved make,. The coating system shall be high build, decorative, elastomeric, crack-bridging, acrylic coating, which is applied at an minimum average thickness of 250 microns DFT (inclusive one coat of primer & two or more coats of anti-carbonation coating) and as per technical specification. The rate shall be inclusive of material, tools, labours etc. complete.

Waterproofing

Supply & apply of two component liquid applied membrane with primer, as per technical specifications on roof, pedestals, etc. and areas as decided by the Engineer. The water proofing system shall be comprising of: • one coat of hybrid Polyurea Polyurethane/ hybrid polyurea compatible primer (Minimum DFT 75 microns) and, • Sand Broadcasting and, • two- component spray applied hybrid Polyurea Polyurethane/ hybrid polyurea membrane base coat having total average dry film thickness of 2000 microns (excluding primer and top coat, with no single value less than 1800 microns) and • two component UV resistant Aliphatic Polyurethane top coat with average 200 Microns thick DFT ( with no single value lesser than 150 microns).Note: In congested area only as decided by the Engineer in writing, the base coat may be applied by brush. The rate shall be inclusive of testing of entire roof waterproofing as per technical specification.

Providing and fixing Flexible elastic tape (minimum width 120 mm) in liquid applied coating along locations at wall corners, floor-to-wall connections, ther areas where haunches are not available or as directed by Engineer in charge

Providing and applying two component high performance liquid flashing solution having waterproofing resin with a polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) base reinforced with fleece for detailing and treatment of critical areas or as directed by engineer in charge

Treatment of Joints

Opening of existing horizontal expansion joint as directed by Engineer using mechanical tools upto a minimum depth 50 mm. and cleaning of joint by air jet . The rate is inclusive of removal of debris and disposal of the same within TAPS-3&4 premises as identified by the Engineer. The rate shall be inclusive of tools, labours etc. complete.

Supply and fixing the groove using polysulphide caulking compound , including backing rod conforming to NPCIL technical specification in expansion joints , fans or wherever required as required by Engineer in charge. The rate shall be inclusive of material, tools, labours etc. complete. Patyment will be made on actual consumption of caulking compound

Supplying, Fixing, Sealing with flexible waterproofing tape based on modified flexible Polyolefin (FPO) including sealant The rate shall be inclusive of material, tools, labours etc. complete.

Supply and fixing in required shape of cover plate of 3mm thick aluminium plate of with chamfered edges fixing the same fixed with counter sunk screws/ anchors with slotted holes for movement on one side of the plate. The rate shall be inclusive of material, tools, labours etc. complete.

Dismantling of RCC works carefully manually without damaging adjacent structures excluding cutting of reinforcement including stacking of steel reinforcement bars and disposal of unserviceable materials per direction of Engineer-in-charge
