SPL REAPIR TO ROAD INCL ROAD FURNITURE IN AOR OF AGE B/R-I AT MENDHAR , BG AND HAMIRPUR UNDER GE 881 EWS

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surfaces, depth not exceeding 50mm deep and area not exceeding 400 sqm, stacking the serviceable material at site and removing the surplus material to a distance not exceeding 50 m complete all as specified and directed.

Material and labour 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) WBM, with coarse aggregate (Granite, trap or basalt) of grading 2 (63 to 40mm size) or of grading 3 (50 to 20mm size), spread, rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber with 8 to 10 tonnes power roller, complete all as specified and directed.

Repair to pot holes any depth not exc. 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water, scoring sunken surfaces in roads, path etc. cutting around edges to at least 25 mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal watering & well ramming ( including supply of road metal), complete all as specified and directed.

Applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen at 10 kg per 10 sq metre on WBM surface, complete all as specified and as directed.

Providing premix bituminous macadam with 4% bitumen binder by weight of total mix laid/rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber (consolidated thickness 75mm or less) (paving bitumen VG-30) by weight of total mix spread, rolled and consolidated with 8 to 12 tonne power roller to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (I) In case the binder contents by weight of total mix is less than 4% as per per actual design mix, The price adjustment shall be made as per average rates of all purchase voucher for bitumen pertaining to this work. if the total binder contents as per design mix is more than 4% no price adjustment shall be made for the same. (II) Job mix formula for bituminous macadam shall be obtained from the institutions specified in CA prior to commencement of work and shall be got approved from the GE. (iii) The Contractor shall submit certificate issued to Hot mix plant that plant is SDAC compliant before incorporating work at site. The Hot Mix plant visit has to be organized by Contractor for approval of GE. (iv) The plant shall be automatic type which must have facility to print the details of composition of material incorporated with all batches of SDAC.

Preparingof existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc. sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surfaces with power sweeper or compressor to remove all loose dirt etc.complete all as specified and as directed.

Applying evenly a priming/ tack coat with bituminous primer using paving bitumen at 05 kg per 10 sq metre on existing black top surface, complete all as specified and as directed.

Material and labour for bituminous premixed carpet, 30mm consolidated thickness, with 0.405 cum of stone chippings mixed with 21.90 kg of binder per 10 sqm using paving bitumen, rolled and compacted with 8 to 10 ton capacity power roller to required gradient and camber to a uniform smooth surface complete all as specified. Note:- (i) The premixed carpet shall be mixed in computerized approved hot mixed plant. (ii) The premixed carpet shall be laid with self-propelled mechanical paver. (iii) The contractor shall submit the computerized slip of premixed carpet of each load.

Premix sand seal coat using (paving bitumen ) @ 6.8 kg / 10 sqm blinded with sand @ 0.06 cum /10 sqm and rolled with 8 to 10 tonne power roller to a uniform smooth surface, complete all as specified and as directed.
