M & L for 1mm thick Mild steel, plain, black sheet in hearths ; covering to door shutters; covering to door chowkhats ( frames); chullah hoods ; water tanks; water troughs; ducts;urinal troughs and funnels, etc. cut to size , edges beaded if directed, holes punched; including round headed screws , clout nails or rivets and fixed to wood or steel members, etc., with plain 40 mm lap joints or welded/ riveted seams, including bending, turning up, mitred angles, stopped ends, outlets , etc. as required, complete all as specified and directed..

S&F factory made 35 mm thick 2nd class hardwood Glazed and skeleton shutters, open rebated and prepared to receive glass, gauze, etc. (without sash bars), edges of framing plain, chamfered or rounded, fitted with cut and mitred beads for securing glass, etc.; sizes of members of shutters as specified in SSR Part I, Section 8, cla-use 8.24 (a); supplied and fitted to chowkats incl one shop coat of pink primer as speicifed and directed.

S & F factory made 35 mm thick 2nd class hardwood Plain framed, panelled shutter (two panel) with lock rail and panel of 9 mm B.W.P. commercial ply or 12 mm veneered particle board with commercial veneering on both faces. The size of rail and stile as per IS : 1003 (Part I), kiln seasoned and chemically pressure treated incl one shop coat of pink primer complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for providing and injecting chemical emulsion for post construction antitermite treatment along external wall where the apron is not provided using chemical emulsion at the rate of 7.5 litres per sq.m of the vertical surface of the substructure to a depth of 300 mm including excavating channel along the wall and rodding etc. complete.

M & L for treating of soil under existing floors using emulsion @ one litre per hole, 300 mm apart including drilling and plugging 12 mm dia. Holes with cement mortar 1:2 (1 cement : 2 coarse sand) to match the existing floors complete as specified and directed

Impregnating cream for injection into masonry or concrete wall 230mm thick against capilary rising humidity. Rising bar super srong (Product No. 201) of chowgale building chemicals or equivalent piilite/Drfixit/sika/fosroc complete all as specified and directed. Method of Application :-Methodology (a) The surface must be sound, absorbent, clean, free of dust, oil, paint, curing agents, loose cement or lime plaster & concrete, debris, or any separation layers. (b) The plaster must be knocked off at least 50cm beyond the visibly penetrated area. (c) Damaged mortar joints are to be scraped out to a depth of approximately 2-3cm. All sharp edges/joints needs to be levelled, loose concrete to be removed. (d) Drill boreholes at ground level horizontally. The boreholes are drilled horizontal into the masonry. (e) The holes should be drilled until a depth of approx 5cm (for a 6cm thick wall) before the end of the all is reached. The boreholes should have a diameter of 12mm upto a maximum of 15mm and should be spaced approx 100 to 120mm apart and the vertical offset is 6cm max. (f) Before inserting Rising Bar Super Strong or equivalent the boreholes must be cleaned from boring dust by using air pressure, it is not necesary to pre-wet the borehole. (g) For applying of Rising Bar Super Strong or equivalent the dosing system inserted as far as possible into the borehole. While dosing the product uniformly, the injection nozzle is pulled out leading to a completely filled borehole. (h) Treatment of highly absorbent masonry might require repeated filling of the borehole. Depending upon extent of damage, Rising Bar Super Strong or equivalent can be re-injected into the same hole after 24hrs. Depending on abosrbency, application or masony thickness 0.1 to 0.15 litre/m with 10cm wall thickness.

M & L for 18/19mm thick prelaminated particle board, interior grade, prelaminated one side with decorative choice lamination & other side balancing white lamination, fixed with screws to timber frame work complete all as specified & directed.

S&F 100mm size stainless steel handle, bow shaped as per sample for cupboards complete all as specified and directed.

S & F in repair 50mm drawer lock (as approved) gde-I complete all as specified and directed.

M&L PCC 1:5:10 Type E-2 (using 40 mm graded stone aggregate ) in mass concrete incl demolition of unreinforced lime concrete exc 15cm thickness for sunken portion of WC, complete all as specified and directed.

Water proofing treatment to sunken RCC Slabs (i) Apply a coat of cement sullry @ 0.488 Kg/sqm mixed with tapecrete @ 0.253 Kg/sqm after surface preparatin all as per manufacturer's insturctions. (Make of tapecrete : M/s CICO Engg Services) (ii) Apply hot bitumen 30/40 (Grade S-35) conforming to IS-73-1961 @ 0.70 kg/Sqm and providing transparent polythene film 200 micron (heavy duty) conforming to IS-2508-1977 laid with 150mm overlaps. (iii) Then apply 1.5mm thick layer of cement slurry @ 1.288 kg/Sqm mixed with tapecrete @ 0.570 kg/sqm and course sand @ 1.289 kg/sqm. Allow the treatment to air curing for 4 hours followed by water curing for 48 hours. The whole treatment shall be taken upto full depth of parapet wall and tuck into groove in parapet alround. (iv) Sunken floor shall be filled with graded cinder.

REPAIRING & REHABILITATION OF RCC STRUCTURES

Work for repair and rehabilitation shall be executed with close suppervision of qualified engineer, especially qualified in structural rehabilitation work and the following requirements shall be fulfilled by the contractor without any extra cost, the rates quoted for respective item shall be deemed to be inclusive of these aspects:-

(i) Propping and supporting the structural members and its adjoining areas with steel props (adjustable or as required) steel prop of up to 5 MT capacity and up to 3.2 m height, bracings, steel/timber runners etc to relieve the structural member of the required load coming over it as per the standard pattern & approved by GE.

(ii) Providing and fixing temporary engineered steel tubular standard double scaffolding system on the exterior side, maintaining it in a serviceable condition for the required duration as approved and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connection with the building etc with suitable working platforms at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc complete as per directions and approval of GE.

(iii) Providing and fixing plywood covering panels as per the directions of Engineer-in-charge with necessary backing framework to shield windows etc. from falling debris and removing and taking away the material after completion of work including making good any incidental damage(s) to the existing building or its finishes etc complete.

(iv) Providing, erecting, maintaining and removing temporary protective screens made out of Woven PVC cloth with all necessary fixing arrangement to ensure that it remains in position for the work duration as required by Engineer in charge.

Chipping of unsound/weak concrete material from slabs, beams, columns etc. with standard power driven percussion type or pneumatic chisel of standard make including tapering all edges, making square shoulders of cavities etc of average depth of 25mm complete and disposal of debris up for all lifts and leads complete all specified and directed.

Cleaning of reinforcement from rust including from behind the reinforcing bars to give it a totally rust free finished steel surface by hammering the rebar, using wirebrushes, chiseling and using applying rust remover cum passivator Sika rustoff 100 or equirment of Fosroc / BASF @ 0.20kg/Sqm/per coat with brush or as per manufacturer's specifications to remove rust from existing reinforcement and removing loose particles after 24 hrs of its application with wire brush and thoroughly washing with water and allowing it to dry; applying a epoxy based zinc rich rebar corrosion protection system @ 0.15Kg/Sqm/coat or as per manufacturer's instruction complete all as specified and directed.

Supply, mixing and applying bonding coat, including cost of material, on prepared non-metallic surface of parent material as per specifications and direction of Engineer-in-Charge complete. SBR polymer (@10% of cement weight) modified cementitious bond coat @ 2.2 kg cement per sqm of surface area with its proportion as specified and directed.

Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make) modified cement mortar in proportion of 1:4 (using coarse sand) with polymenr min 2% by weight of cement in layers, each layer not exceeding 15mm thick, of average thickness 25mm (in two layers) including trowelling with wooden tools etc. complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge (75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28-day to be not less than 25N/sqmm)

Providing, mixing and applying SBR polymer (of approved make) modified cement mortar in proportion of 1:4 (using coarse sand) with polymenr min 2% by weight of cement in layers, each layer not exceeding 15mm thick, of average thickness 50mm (in three layers) including trowelling with wooden tools etc. complete as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge (75mm size cube crushing strength at the end of 28-day to be not less than 25N/sqmm)

Note : Form work shall be 100% leak proof , for pupose of payment area in touch with concrete shall be measured.

Providing and placing in position ready to use non shrink, cementitious free flow micro-concrete, which shall be cement based prepacked single component, chloride free, non-shrink, free flow, self compacting, ready to use after mixing water in specified proportion obtained from approved manufacturer having compressive strength not less than 30N/mm2 (28 days) according to ASTM C 1107-99, complete all as specified and directed.

Providing and laying SBR polymer modified (of approved make @min 2% by weight of cement) plain/reinforced concrete jacket for the structural members e.g. columns, pillars, piers, beams etc with concrete having the specified minimum characteristic compressive strength [with ordinary portland cement, coarse sand and graded stone aggregate of 10 mm maximum size in proportion as per design criteria]with specifiedaverage thickness all-round existing core of RCC member. Rates shall be for finished surface area of concrete and shall include the cost of making holes in existing RCC slab, if required, for pouring concrete in shuttering mould of jacket and appropriate approved super-plasticiser for rendering concrete as flowable, self compacting but shall exclude cost of reinforcement, bond coat, shear keys, centering and shuttering, strutting, propping etc (Payment under this item shall be made only after proper wet curing has been done and surface has been satisfactorily evaluated by sounding/tapping with a blunt metal instrument) 100 mm thick in Grade M 25 with cement content not less than 350 Kg per Cu M

Providing and inserting 10 mm dia. 200 mm long mild steel shear key bars of required length and diameter in reinforced/plain concrete as per drawing and directions of Engineer-in-charge including power drilling holes of appropriate diameters to a minimum depth of equal to 12 times the diameter of shear key bar/levelling gauge, cleaning the drilled holes of loose dust by blowing, insertion of epoxy from cartridge, placing the shear key bar in position and allowing it to stay undisturbed for 24 hours. (Rate shall include cost of labour, all materials, T&P for power drilling in concrete, epoxy cartridges, plastic nozzle etc complete including cleaning the drilled holes of loose dust by blowing air.

Providing and inserting 12mm dia Aluminium/ galvanized iron injection nipples along crack lines or honey-comb area, including: i) drilling holes of required diameter up to depths from 40mm to 80mm or half the thickness of member (whichever is less), at required spacing of 300 mm ii) Making grooves of size 12mm x 12mm along the crack line. iv) Sealing the distance between the injection nipples with approved putty(Polymer modified cement mortar /polyester putty/epoxy putty) etc and allow it to cure. v) If cementitious grout material proposed to be used, washing and saturating the cracked surface with water by pumping from top most nipple and downwards complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. (The rate shall include all material, labour and all operations above. The cost of grout material shall be paid separately on the basis of actual quantity consumed)

Supply & injecting stirrer mixed SBR Polymer modified cement slurry made with shrinkage compensating cement in masonry work as per manufacturers instructions and as directed.

M&L for water proofing treatment in following stages:- 1. Rendering in CM 1:3 with waterproofing liquid as per manufacturer's instruction over concrete surface finished even and smooth without using extra cement. 2. First coat of bitumen primer confirming to IS-3384@ 0.40 Kg/Sqm over plastered surface.(Bitumen primer shall be TANK MASTIC of M/S STP Ltd or ‘EMW FLATE’ of M/S Texas India Ltd). 3.
