Sub-Head : Repairs to Buildings

Repairs to plaster of thickness 12mm to 20mm in patches of area 2.5 sq. meters and under including cutting the patch in proper shape, raking out joints and preparing and plastering the surface of the walls complete including disposal of rubbish to the dumping ground within 50metres lead :

With cement mortar 1:4 (1cement: 4 fine sand).

Renewing glass panes, with putty and nails wherever necessary including racking out the old putty:

Float glass panes of nominal thickness 4 mm (weight not less than 10kg/sqm)

Repair to leaking G.I water supply pipe line by dismantling the G.I pipe, replacing the GI pipe and fittings wherever required and restoring the water supply upto 15 metre height all complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge.(G.I. pipe and fittings shall be paid for separately )

Repair to high level C.I /low level PVC/chinaware flushing cistern etc. complete as per the directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Repairs to CP brass bib cock,stop cock,pillar cock & angle cock etc. by replacing spindle all complete.

Repairs to bib cock,stop cock,PVC connections etc. by replacing washers or jumpers all complete.

Terrace cleaning including removal of rank vegetations,grass etc. and cleaning of connecting khurra and rodding of RWP to ensure smooth flow of rain water and disposal of rubbish upto 50m lead all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Repairs to existing steel rolling shutters by dismantling the shutter,setting it right by removal of dents, tensioning of coil springs, greasing of side guides,straighting of main shafts etc. and refixing the shutters at its proper position and ensuring free operation of shutter all complete as per the directions of Engineer-in-Charge.

Regrading terracing of mud phaska covered with tiles or brick, in cement by dismantling tiles or bricks, removing mud plaster, preparing the surface of mud phaska to proper slope, relaying mud plaster gobri leaping and tiles or bricks, grouted in cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand)including replacing unserviceable tiles or bricks with new ones and disposal of unserviceable material to the dumping ground (the cost of the new tiles or brick excluded) within 50 metres lead.

Flush pointing with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement : 3 fine sand) mixed with 2% of integral water proofing compound by weight of cement for flat tile bricks on top of mud phaska :

With F.P.S. brick tiles

Removal of Plants like Pipal Plant etc. from the roofs,shafts and from other parts of the Building at all heights and removing its roots,And pouring solution of Chlorpyriphos E.C 20% in the root of plants and making good the same complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge ( Grith not exceeding 10 cm).

Cleaning of terrace/loft water storage tank (inside surface area) upto 2000 litre capacity at all heights with coconut brushes, duster etc., removal of silt, rubbish from the tank and cleaning the tank with fresh water disinfecting with bleaching powder @ 0.5gm per litre capacity of tank, including marking the date of cleaning on the side of tank body with the help of stencil and paint and disposing of malba, all complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (The old date already written on tank should be removed with paint remover or black paint and if date is not written with the stencil or old date is not removed deduction will be made @ Rs. 0.10 per litre if during cleaning any GI fittings or ball cock is damaged that is to be repaired by contractor at his own cost and nothing extra will be paid on this account)

Cleaning of under ground sump, Over Head R.C.C. Tank (independent staging) including disposal of slit and rubbish, all as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. The cleaning shall consist following operations:-

(i) Tank shall be emptied of water by pumping & bottom shall be cleaned of slit and other deposits.

(ii) Entire surface area of the sump shall then scrubbed thoroughly with wire brush etc. and pressure washed withwater.

(iii) Chlorination of RCC internal surface by liquid chlorine.

(iv) The treated surface shall be dried using air jetting and all loose particles shall be removal from the surface.

(v) Finally the surface shall be treated with ultraviolet radiation etc. as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out existing wooden door shutter, repair by cutting, painting etc. and refixing of repaired door shutters to existing door frames,including replacement of hinges with screws, etc. as required, all complete as per the direction of the Engineer-in-charge.

Sub-Head : Dismantling and Demolishing

Demolishing brick work manually/ by mechanical means including stacking of serviceable material and disposal of unserviceable within 50 metres lead as per direction of Engineer-in-charge
