JOB NO: WAC/CAP-36/46WG/18-19: CONSTRUCTION OF MAFI POWER SUB STATION AT AF STN NAL. The following Job works are urgently required to carry out soil investigation of proposed work site of subject work services.The scope of work comprises as under :- (a) Construction 150mm bore diameter bores 0 to 10meter according to IS 1892-1988 and IS-1892-1979- Conduction standard enetration test (S.P.T) as per IS-2131- 1988. The testing shall be made at every change in strata or at 7 intervals of not more than 1.5 mtr whichever is less. The test may be made at least intervals if specified of considered necessary as per 3.31 of IS-2131-1988. (a) Collection of undisturbed soil samples at an Interval of 1.35 mtr or change of strata. (b) Conduction of laboratory tests on disturbed/undisturbed soil samples as per project requirement after completion of boring, as given below :- (i) Sieve analysis (ii) Plasticity index. (iii) Specific gravity. (iv) Water content. (v) Particle size analysis (vi) Bulk and dry density (vii) Atterberg limit (viii) Harmful salt or Organic matter if any (ix) Direct shear test ( in case of sandy soil) (x) Unconfined un –drained test (in case of clayey soil) (xi) Consolidation test (for saturated soil) (xii) C, values (xiii) Differential free swell test in case of expansive soil (xiv) Unconfined compressive strength of rock (in case of rocky strata) (xv) Determination of tensile/shear strength of rock (in case of rocky strata) The firm shall submit the soil investigation completely covering the following :- (c) (a) Bore log chart showing depth of soil strata. (d) (b) Ground water table. (e) (c) Probable maximum and different settlement. (f) (d) Safe bearing capacity based on shear and settlement. (e) Recommendation for type and depth of foundation NOTE (a) The location of bldg/bores shall be given by GE. (b) The soil report shall be in 3 parts i.e, tender I,II and III combined. 04 Nos bore hole of 10m depth each
