Fabrication, Assembly, Erection, Validation and Testing of SS and CS Piping, Structural and Equipment Works at DFRP

I. STAINLESS STEEL PIPING: SS PIPE FABRICATION & ERECTION: Handling, transportation of stainless steel pipes of grade 304L quality (Supplied as Free Issue Material), marking, cutting, fabrication (excluding welding), and surface treatment of pipes as per approved procedure and erection of pipes on fabricated supports at site as per the approved drawings. Sizes of Sch.40 pipe involved are DN 8 to DN200. (The rate for each meter erected upto pipe size DN 25 shall be considered as one inch metre)

PIPE BUTT WELDING (ER 308L filler wire): Gas Tungsten Arc butt welding of stainless steel pipes of grade 304L quality, Sch 40 pipe size DN 8 to DN200, including hookup joints, using Argon gas for shielding and purging, ER 308L filler wire as consumable, Liquid penetrant (LP) examination and local passivation of the weld joints as per specifications. (The rate for each butt joint welded upto DN 25 shall be considered as one inch Dia.)

PIPE FILLET WELDING: Gas Tungsten Arc fillet welding of pipe to pipe, pipe to valve and pipe to end closures of stainless steel pipe lines, wherever required. Welding shall be carried out using ER308L filler wire with Argon gas for shielding and purging as per specifications. Item rate shall be inclusive of LP examination and local passivation. (The rate for each butt joint welded up to DN 25 shall be considered as one inch Dia)

PLATE WELDING: Gas Tungsten Arc Butt welding of 6mm thick plate to plate of stainless steel material, wherever required. Welding shall be carried out using Argon gas for shielding and purging, ER 308L filler wire as consumable, Liquid penetrant (LP) examination and local passivation of the weld joints as per specifications. Item rate shall be inclusive of LP examination and local passivation.

PIPE BENDING: Fabrication of stainless steel pipe bend using hydraulic bending machine or any other department approved procedure ans as per approved drawing. The rate shall include liquid penetration examination and local passivation as per specification. Bend radius within 5D mm of pipe DN

S.S. LINING WORK: Handling, marking, cutting, drilling holes, fabrication and fixing of 3.00 mm thick stainless steel sheets conforming to AISI 304L quality supplied as free issue, surface treatment of liner followed by installation of the same as per approved drawings excluding welding. Measured as the area of liner actually erected at site. The 6mm strip plates which are required for bolting with 3mm sheets shall be measured in this item rate twice.

GTA Welding of stainless steel sheet / plate 304L quality 3.00 mm thick with a) the embedded carbon steel grid work using ER 309 L filler wire for dissimilar welding & b) for welding with structure / sheet using ER 308 L filler wire for similar welding. Welding shall be carried out with Argon for shielding followed by LP examination (LPE) and local passivation of weld joints. Rates shall be inclusive of LPE and local passivation of weld joints. In case of stitch welding in 6mm strip plates are required, the same shall be measured in this item twice.

II. CARBON STEEL PIPING WORKS: CS PIPE FABRICATION & ERECTION: Handling, transportation of Carbon Steel Seamless pipes (Free Issue Material) conforming to ASTM 106A, marking, cutting, fabrication (excluding welding), erection of pipes on fabricated supports at site and painting (two coat of primer and two coats of enamel painting of approved make and color), as per the approved drawings and Tender specification. The item rate for each meter erected upto pipe size DN 20 shall be considered as one inch metre. Pipe size up to DN 200.

CS PIPE SUPPLY, FABRICATION & ERECTION: Supply, handling, transportation of Carbon Steel Seamless pipes (Sch.40) conforming to ASTM A 106 Grade - B, marking, cutting, fabrication (excluding welding), erection of pipes on fabricated supports at site and painting (two coat of primer and two coats of enamel painting of approved make and colour), as per the approved drawings and Tender specification. The item rate for each meter erected upto pipe size DN 20 shall be considered as one inch metre. Pipe size up to DN 200.

CARBON STEEL WELDING: CS BUTT WELDING: Butt welding of Carbon Steel pipe using GTAW process with ER70S-2 electrode of approved makes, Liquid penetrant (LP) examination of each root and final pass as per specifications. The rate for each joint welded upto pipe size DN 25 shall be considered as one inch dia irrespective of the pipe size and for higher size the measurement shall be equal to the nominal dia. of the pipe in inches.
