Raising of saplings in polythene bags of size 9"x6" conforming to product code PB-60/90 with artificial source of irrigation and their maintenance at Lalyal Nursery of Research Forest Division, Jammu during following year.

Preparation of nursery beds/ plots/ seed germination units including levelling and cleaning. Procurement and mixing of sandy loam soil and well rotted dry farmyard manure and/ or mycorrhizae duly sieved and pulverized through mesh of size 2mm x 2mm and its sterilization and treatment with weedicide/ fungicide/ pesticide and drying. Filling of prepared potting mixture in polybags of prescribed size/ thickness. Sowing of fresh seeds from superior source/ mother trees after required pre-sowing treatment. Stacking, grading and shifting of polybags in prepared beds of size 1m x length of bed. Ensuring 100% successful germination and establishmnet of seedlings.

Deweeding/cleaning of polybags, berms, paths, beds and roads from any unwanted growth and its disposal. Supply and application of fertiliser/pesticide/fungicide as per requirement to protect poly raised plants and promote their growth. Regular watering as per requirement and cleaning/maintenance of water channels/pump/motor/nursery maintenance equipment etc. Resowing in failed polybags and care of new germination and raised saplings including providing shade whenever required. Shifting and grading of polybags as per requirement. Ensuring 100% successful germination and establishmnet of seedlings.
