Urgent Mechanical repair works for arresting leakage in the 800 mm diameter Expansion Joint (01) in Rising main of WSS Tangnar 2nd

Repairs to 800 mm ND expansion joint of the 800 mm ND rising main by the way of: a. Dewatering the rising main by operating the washout value and employing of dewatering pump if required. b. Cutting the worn-out/rusted/ damaged nuts and bolts by using gas cutters or joint cutter machine as per site requirement. (28 No's) approx. c. Complete disassembling of the expansion joint by using proper tools, gas burner torch, hydra Crane etc. d. Then Dismantling the MS gland of the leaking expansion joint & removing of old damaged packing. e. Cleaning of Flanges by way of removing stuck portion of the gaskets, rust etc by scrubber, buffing tool etc. f. Reassembling of the dismantled expansion joint after proper cleaning and extraction of old worn out packing and then providing and fitting of new 12mm & 19mm Palmetto graphite gland Packing of Dunlop / Champion/ Equivalent make (10 Kg's), MP grease, M-oil etc as per site requirement by using proper tools and hydra Crane etc. g. Then refitting of the repaired expansion joint in the rising main pipe by using new nuts & bolts, washers, RI Cloth gaskets mentioned below as per site requirement. h. Providing and fitting of new R.I. cloth gaskets (02 No's) for flanged expansion joint of 800 mm Dia Rising main pipe to be fabricated out of 2.5x1.5mx0.003 mm thick High Pressure rubber sheet. h. Providing and fitting of M24-150 mm long new HTensile nuts and bolts with 02 washers each -75 No's (Out of which 28 No's are to be kept at site for any exigency in future). i. Providing and fitting of M24-200 mm long MS Bolts with nuts & washers-(11 Kg's). j. P/F of M24-300 mm long fully threaded MS Puller Bolts with nuts as per site requirements to facilitate hassle free movement during repairs-(05 Kg's) Mobile workshop Vehicle with all necessary tools & tackles which includes DG-set along with electric cables, gas cutter, welding machine, joint cutter machine etc and hydra crane required for completion of job in all respects, is to be arranged and brought to the site by the executing agency and finally testing of the expansion joint on full load after carrying out the necessary repair works. The job is to be completed in double shifts i.e day and night keeping view the urgent nature of the job. Due to height constraints chain pulley block cannot be put to use and instead hydra crane is to be used for lifting, holding and installation of Expansion joint.
