Dismantling and taking down existing false ceiling including grid system, frames, hangers, boards/tiles/panels of any material from any height including scaffolding, staging, safety arrangements and all access equipment, careful removal without damaging adjoining structures, stacking serviceable materials within 50 m lead as directed and disposal of unserviceable materials/debris outside MOD land or to designated dumping area as directed by Engineer-in-Charge, complete all as specified and directed.

S&F powder coated GI suspended ceiling grid system for seamless false ceiling comprising of GI perimeter channel 0.55 mm thick with unequal flanges of 20 mm and 30 mm and web of 27 mm fixed to surrounding walls with nylon sleeves and screws at 450 mm c/c; intermediate channel 0.90 mm thick having equal flanges of 15 mm and web of 45 mm suspended from soffit at approximately 900 mm c/c using GI cleats and steel expansion fasteners; ceiling sections (not exceeding 1.2 m length) 0.55 mm thick having knurled web of 50 mm and flanges of 26 mm each with lips of 10.5 mm fixed to intermediate channels with connecting clips at 457 mm c/c, including GI hangers 6 mm dia up to 1200 mm length, adjustable, fixed to RCC slab with ceiling cleats made out of GI flat 40×3 mm size 60 mm long and expansion fasteners 12.5 mm dia 40 mm long, complete all as specified and directed, at any height and including all necessary scaffolding, staging, ladders, access arrangements, safety measures and protective equipment required for execution. NOTES: (1) Ceiling boards/tiles shall be measured and paid separately under respective items. (2) The false ceiling grid shall be executed in coordination with air-conditioning ducting works being executed by other agency, and final levels/positioning shall be fixed only after completion/approval of ducting layout as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. No claim on account of sequencing or coordination shall be admissible.

Refixing old non-asbestos cement fibre boards in existing false ceiling grid at any height involving alignment, cutting where required, fixing with suitable screws/clips as per existing system, replacement of damaged fittings where necessary, and ensuring true level and finish, including all scaffolding, staging, ladders, access arrangements and safety measures required for execution, complete all as specified and directed. NOTE: Refixing of false ceiling boards shall be carried out only after completion of air-conditioning ducting works by other agency and clearance by Engineer-in-Charge. The contractor shall plan execution in coordination with other agencies, and no claim on account of sequencing or coordination shall be admissible.
