USPV Test (16 points at 12 locations in each unit)

Carbonation depth test (2 points at 12 locations in each unit)

Electric Resistivity / Concrete Resistivity Test (4 points at 12 locations in each unit)

Half-cell potential measurement test including graphical representation of equipotential contours (16 points at 12 locations in each unit)

Chemical analysis of concrete powder collected from the structure or concrete core sample/ by drilling to understand the deterioration of structure due to chemical attack and its effect on reinforcement corrosion with evaluation of the following parameters. a) Water Soluble Chloride Content % (by of mass of concrete) to check the risk of corrosion due to present chloride % as per b) pH Value (to check alkalinity of concrete) as per relevant B.S. 5328, ACI 201.2R-92 and ACI-318-99, IS 456:2000, BS 8110 c) Acid Soluble Sulphate Content % (by of mass of cement) to check risk of column buckling (due to volume increment of concrete) as per (4 points at 6 locations in each unit)

Concrete cover test (30 locations in toto in each unit)

Visual Survey:- Visual inspection for surface damages, damage classification. The visual inspection shall largely cover areas of high distress, corrosion, moisture, leakage, abnormal variations in structure, algae and fungus growth, efflorescence, etc. Visual inspection would be documented in the form of worksheets, photographic records, and distress over drawings. Simple tools and instruments like camera with flash light, magnifying glass, binoculars, chisel and hammer, etc shall be used for measuring the distresses as per site requirement.

Crack study, monitoring & record :

Detailed crack study / mapping of major cracks identified in visual inspection viz crack depth measurement, crack width and crack length including preparing and submitting comprehensive repair scheme / DPR with BOQ quantified data for future repair, consumption of grout, grouting material, grouting process, etc complete as per relevant IS / ACI code using appropriate tools (crack width microscope, etc) and advanced concrete imaging equipments like precision GPR / tomography, or any other relevant equipment.

Providing and installting Standard precision tell-tales for crack monitoring and recording with two plates, bottom with calibrated gauge and top with cross hair. The tell tales shall either be installed using SS screws or with adhesive (paint / coating shall be removed before installing). Complete as directed by Engineer in charge Reference makes: Gilson, avonguard

Providing and installing 2mm thick single strength glass strip (microscope glass) or crack monitoring glass rod for monitoring of passive cracks. The glass strips shall be installed using epoxy adhesive (paint / coating shall be removed before installing). Complete as directed by Engineer in charge.

Report submission with Interpretation and recommendation: Preparing and submitting comprehensive report consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data, interpretation of results, conclusions and final recommendations along with sketch indicating the location of the test. Submission of draft report including repair methodology shall be submitted in soft copy( Editable version). After review, the final report shall be submitted in hardcopy (5 Nos) colour printing alongwith soft copy.
