Name of Work: Upgradation of Shaft and terrace water supply and sewage pipe lines and other miscellaneous works in Type I-A (transit) and II-B buildings under Western Sector Maintenance Unit at Anushaktinagar, Mumbai

1). Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work with prior permission of Engineer-in-charge/authorised representative, to acquaint themselves with the nature and location of work before quoting tender.
2). Since the work is to be carried out in residential buildings which are occupied by officials of Department, the work has to be carried out with least disturbance to the residents.
3).Contractor shall take contractor's all risk insurance policy in respect of entire scope of work for entire period of contract and submit copy of the same before commencement of the work. "If there is a gap in CAR insurance policy period a penalty of 1.5 times of the premium amount of original policy value shall be recovered, proportionately for the gap period"
4). No debris shall be left over during the repair works under each item on any day. An area for 'Debris bins' will be identified on the request of contractor for collection of debris generated on day to day basis. The debris from debris bin shall be cleared every week. The contractor must maintain adequate number of wheel barrows all the time for shifting the debris to Debris bin. Penal recovery for not disposing off the debris in time will be made @ Rs.1000/- per Cu.M.
5). The debris shall be disposed by mechanical transport to the nearest dumping pit outside Anushaktinagar approved by statutory authority with all leads, loading, unloading etc. complete. No payment shall be released unless certificate from EIC showing clearance of debris is produced in each RA bill and Final bill.
6). All safety & security regulations shall be followed strictly as per specifications & conditions of contract.
7) The contractor shall provide a sleeveless Jacket to the workers in pattern, colour showing name of contractor with address and telephone number as approved by the Engineer in charge. All the workers must wear the same while on duty.
8) Security measures to be followed by the contractor: i) Contractor should provide uniform to all regular labour and fluorescent visi wears to all casual labour deputed at site for proper identification. ii) The contractor should issue ID-Card to all workers deployed on regular basis and list of such workers vetted by site Engineer should be submitted to DCSEM Security at Main Gate. iii) The supervisor of contractor having photo pass shall bring daily wages workers/ casual workers inside premises for work subject to following conditions. (i) He should prepare list of such workers in duplicate. The original copy would be handed over to DCSEM security at Main Gate and obtain endorsement on duplicate copy and the duplicate copy would remain with the contractor. (ii) Departmental staff deputed to supervise the work will verify the reporting of such workers at site. iv) The Agency shall follow all safety rules & security procedure that are in vogue and applicable during execution of work. You are requested to verify the character and antecedents of the labourers employed by you, through local address proof issued by competent authorities such as ration card, driving license, electricity bills, telephone bill, gas connection document etc. The nationality of contract labourers also needs due verification. v) The Agency is requested arrange to obtain immediately Police Verification Reports of your regular staff deployed at site(s) in respect of maintenance contract works and submit the same along with necessary application to allow them to enter in premises to carry out the assigned work.
09) Wherever materials are replaced with new one, quoted rate includes removing existing one and depositing the serviceable material at departmental store.
10).The agency has to abide by the "Construction & Demolition work management plan as approved by MCGM & Any other regulations issued by the statutory authorities in the matter from time to time & agency has to deposit Bank Guarantee/deposit as required.
11). Contractor has to make his own arrangements for regulating the traffic on the surrounding roads by putting up necessary Road Sign boards for Diversion, Men at Work, Danger, Work in Progress, Diversions/ change of directions etc. at his own cost during execution of work as directed by the Department.
12).The contractor will be required to pay the wages to the workers employed by him on work at the rates per month per labour as per minimum wages as amended from time to time in force of minimum wages Act 1948 and as per provisions in contract conditions.
13).SECTION-5(ii) : SPECIAL CLAUSES 5 OF CONTRACT. The contractor shall furnish to the Engineer-in-Charge monthly progress report in triplicate on 5th day of every month
14). Contractor shall depute Technical Representative(s) as per condition of contract Clause 36(i) and Certified by Engineer-in-Charge
15). As per clause No.36 of General Conditions of Contract, Technical staff should be employed by contractor at site failing which contractor shall be liable to pay penalty as per contract conditions.
16).A detailed phased programme of work, including supply of material, Skilled/ unskilled labour, tools & plants, with name of Engineers and Supervisor deployed at site by keeping in view the completion period may be prepared in consultation with the Engineer-in-Charge and get approved.
17)For all type Cement Mortar work, the Ready mix cement mortar of approved make shall be used.

104 Supplying and fixing following size PVC-SWR pipes and Fittings for soil, waste, vent and rainwater pipe lines consisting following items of work:- i) Supplying PVC - SWR pipes and fittings conforming to IS 13592 of approved make and standard PVC clamps ( approx. 3.2 mm thick ) and nails or MS galvanised clamps having minimum 3 mm thick ( Pipe Holder U Bracket ) for fixing the pipe. ii) Fixing the pipeline vertically to plumb, keeping the pipe barrel 50 mm away from the wall face, using PVC or MS galvanised clamps. iii) Providing and fixing PVC Domed roof outlet (grating ) for RWP & PVC cowl for waste / soil pipe. iv) Making leak proof joints for existing CI to PVC joint by packing with Sodium Silicate or equivalent approved sealant mixed with rich cement mortar in ratio 1:1 including cutting the pipe, Joint preparation, cleaning, marking, application of sealant chemical, curing etc. and the cost of approved jointing sealant materials all complete. v) Jointing the PVC pipes and specials by PVC solvent cement, rubber lubricant with rubber rings or any other approved equivalent method. vi) Laying the pipeline below the ground to proper slope and gradient for making connection of soil and vent pipeline ( Vertical stacks ) with inspection chamber or manhole and waste water pipeline with gully trap chamber including the cost of cement mortar, water proofing compound etc., testing the vertical pipeline by smoke test and horizontal pipeline by 600 mm head of water and rectifying the leakages, if any all complete including encasing the pipe line using CC 1:3:6 etc. all complete. vii) Cutting or making hole in RCC or brick work and reinstating the surface to it's original condition after passing the pipe with cement mortar / cement concrete etc. by adding approved water proofing compound. 106 Supplying & fixing on Exposed surfaces the following sizes uv-stabilized Chlorinated Poly Vinyl Chloride (CPVC) pipes & Fittings of specified class having thermal stability for both hot & cold water supply consisting following items of work:- i) Supplying CPVC pipes and all required CPVC plain and brass threaded fittings, SDR - 11 having thermal stability for hot & cold water supply of approved make conforming to IS:15778 with ISI mark for CPVC pipe having nominal size up to 50 mm and conforming to ASTM F 441 (IPS SERIES) Schedule 40/80 for CPVC pipe having nominal size 65 mm (2½”) and above. ii) Supplying & providing providing CPVC/GI flanges, any other required specials and other jointing materials for connecting the CPVC pipe lines with spool pieces of water tank and for connecting the CPVC pipe lines with any fittings & fixtures etc., of the water supply line iii) Laying and fixing the pipe and specials on exposed surfaces/ underground, to correct line, level and plumb for water supply line, using metal straps (On wall surfaces) at 1.00 mtr. interval or as directed by the EIC. i) Supplying & fixing C-PVC pipes, including necessary all fittings conforming to IS 15778 iv) Making leak proof threaded / solvent joints. including cutting the pipe, Joint preparation, cleaning, marking, application of solvent, assembling, curing etc. and the cost of jointing cement solvent materials. v) Cutting or making hole or chases in RCC or brick work structure such as wall, column, beam, slab, chajja, dado etc. for passing the pipe line and reinstating all the damage to its original condition. proof joints. vi) Providing and fixing C-PVC joinable / threaded fittings such as Union, Nipples, Bends, Elbows, Tees, Reducers, End caps, Couplers, Adaptors, Saddles, Plugs, Tank connectors, Expansion loops, Bypass bends, etc. vii) including removing existing GI pipe line with fittings and specials etc. NOTE: 1) The rate shall also include for cPVC pipe & specials required for making connections with the existing GI/ CPVC/PP-R/ UPVC/HDPE pipe line laid by other agency. 2) All threaded joints shall be made with brass threaded fittings only. 3) Exposed pipe fixing arrangement include providing & fixing slotted G.I. section & U clamps bolts arrangement for grouping of pipe. 119 Repairs to damaged RCC structural members at all locations/ floors using polymer modified cementatious mortar, for strengthening the existing RCC structural members using acrylic based polymer and comprising the following operations: 1. Breaking cracked / spalled concrete members along the cracks with plaster, including removing and stacking of all unserviceable material at site,simultaneous transportation and disposed at a location in Anushaktinagar as identified by EIC. complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in Charge. 2. Exposing and cleaning the reinforcement thoroughly by light tapping / wire brushing of using strong emery paper and finally by acetone /rust remover of Dr. Fixit / Anuvi chemicals / Fosroc or other eqivalent. 3.
