SUPERSTRUCTURE
PLAIN CEMENT CONCRETE
Providing and laying cement concrete in retaining walls, return walls, walls (any thickness) including attached pilasters, columns, piers, abutments, pillars, posts, struts, buttresses, string or lacing courses, screed under floor, parapets, coping, bed blocks, anchor blocks, plain window sills, fillets etc. up to floor five level, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and finishing :
a) 1:3:6 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand : 6 graded stone aggregate 20 mm nominal size).
REINFORCED CEMENT CONCRETE.
Note:-1) Cement content considered in this item is @ 330 kg/cum. Excess/ less cement used as per design mix is payable/ recoverable separately.
2) Fly ash conforming to grade I of IS 3812 (Part-1) only be used as part replacement of OPC as per IS 456. Uniform blending with cement to be ensured in accordance with clauses 5.2 and 5.2.1 of IS:456 -2000 in the items of BMC and RMC.
3) The above item shall be used judiciously where specified quality of Fly Ash is available for mixing in concrete. Also, the guidelines issued by CDO, CPWD, vide circular no. CDO/SE(RR)/Fly Ash (Main)/102 dated 9th April 2009 shall be followed in such cases.
Providing and laying in position ready mixed M-25 grade concrete for reinforced cement concrete work, using fly ash and cement content as per approved design mix and manufactured in fully automatic batching plant and transported to site of work in transit mixer for all leads, having continuous agitated mixer, manufactured as per mix design of specified grade for reinforced cement concrete work, including pumping of R.M.C. from transit mixer to site of laying, excluding the cost of centering, shuttering, finishing and reinforcement, including cost of admixtures in recommended proportions as per IS : 9103 to accelerate / retard setting of concrete, improve workability without impairing strength and durability as per direction of the Engineer - in - charge

SECTION - D
STEEL & REINFORCEMENT
Providing reinforcement for RCC work including storing of various diameters as required at site of work including transporting, decoiling, straightening, cutting, bending, placing in position at all depths, locations and levels and binding with 18-20 guage soft drawn annealed steel binding wire complete as per specifications and drawings. This item is for substructure and superstructure both at all heights and locations.

GENERAL FINISHING WORKS
MASONRY WORK
a) The contractor shall get the approval of the samples of bricks from the Engineer-In Charge before procurement on large scale and shall maintain the same for the entire work.
b) Necessary openings/ nitches/ cut-outs, wherever required as per drawings 'and asked for by the Engineer-In-Charge,shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost.
c) Periodic tests for bricks shall be carried out by the contractor as per frequencies specified in the relevant IS from the approved lab/Govt Engg Colleges without extra cost.
Brick work with common burnt clay F.P.S. (non modular) bricks of class designation 7.5 in superstructure above plinth level up to floor V level in all shapes and sizes in :
a) In cement mortar 1:6 (1 cement : 6 coarse sand).
Half brick masonry with common burnt clay F.P.S. (non modular) bricks of class designation 7.5 in superstructure above plinth level up to floor V level.

Extra for providing and placing in position 2 nos. 6 mm dia. M.S. bars with 6 mm dia M.S. bar links @ 230mm c/c at every third course of half masonry.
SECTION - F
FLOORING
Notes:- 1.Adjustment of levels in thickness of mortar bedding due to different types of flooring, if any shall be done by the contractor without any extra cost to the Department.
2. A layer of polythene sheet & POP is to be provided over granite/vitrified tiles, Kota stone till the completion of finishing works to protect the flooring from damages, scratches etc. without any extra cost to department. (SCL)
Kota stone slab flooring over 20mm (average) thick base laid over and jointed with grey cement slurry mixed with pigment to match the shade of the slab including rubbing and polishing complete with base of 1 : 4 ( 1 cement : 4 coarse sand). (Min. basic cost =Rs 320/- sq.m)

Providing & fixing 1st quality ceramic glazed wall tiles including borders conforming to IS : 15622 (thickness to be specified by the manufacturer)of approved make in all colours,(as approved by E-I-C)of any size as approved by Engineer-in-Charge on walls/dados /skirting etc. over 12mm thick bed of cement sand mortar 1:3(1 Cement: 3 Coarse sand) & jointing with grey cement slurry @ 3.3 kg/sqm including pointing in white cement mixed with pigment of matching shade complete.
Marble stone flooring with 18 mm thick marble stone, as per sample of marble approved by Engineer-in-charge, over 20 mm (average) thick base of cement mortar 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand) laid and jointed with grey cement slurry, including rubbing and polishing complete with:

SECTION - G
DOORS & WINDOWS
Door & Window Frames
One sample each of door frame, shutter and window with all fittings and fixtures alongwith locking arrangement including glass panels etc. complete as per schedule of quantities and specifications shall be submitted for preliminary inspection of the E-I-C before procurement on large scale. The contractor shall submit six copies of shop drawings for complete joinery work showing dimensional details of construction etc. for the approval of the Engineer-in-charge(E-I-C).
After the preliminary inspection, the sample should be fixed at site to ascertain its performance. Large scale manufacturing should be taken up only after rectification of defects etc. to the full satisfaction of the Department (SCL/E-I-C) and after obtaining formal approval. Door frames, shutters and the windows to be supplied and fixed in position should enter the dimensional tolerance of the openings to an extent of +/- 2%. The rates quoted by the tenderers should hold good for such variation.
Test shall be conducted by the Department for complete joinery work as per the relevant BIS specification/tender conditions from each consignment, and the cost incurred on this account shall be borne by the contractor.
Providing and fixing pressed steel door frames conforming to IS: 4351 manufactured from commercial mild steel sheet of 1.60 mm thickness including hinges, jamb, lock jamb, bead and if required angle threshold of mild steel angle of section 50x25mm, or base ties of 1.50 mm pressed mild steel welded or rigidly fixed together by mechanical means, including M.S. pressed butt hinges, 2.5mm thick with mortar guards, lock strike-plate and shock absorbers as specified and applying a coat of approved steel primer after pre-treatment of the surface as directed by Engineer-in-charge:

Providing and fixing aluminium work for doors, windows, ventilators and partitions with extruded built up standard tubular sections/ appropriate Z sections and other sections of approved make conforming to IS: 733 and IS: 1285, fixing with dash fasteners of required dia and size, including necessary filling up the gaps at junctions, i.e. at top, bottom and sides with required EPDM rubber/ neoprene gasket etc. Aluminium sections shall be smooth, rust free, straight, mitred and jointed mechanically wherever required including cleat angle, Aluminium snap

Powder coated aluminium (minimum thickness of powder coating 50 micron) of shade as approved by E-I-C.
For shutters of sliding windows including providing and fixing heavy duty rollers and making provision for fixing of fittings wherever required including the cost of EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket required (Fittings shall be paid for separately).
Powder coated aluminium sliding shutters (minimum thickness of powder coating 50micron) of shade as approved by EIC.
Providing and fixing glazing in aluminium door, window, ventilator shutters and partitions etc. with EPDM rubber / neoprene gasket etc. complete as per the architectural drawings and the directions of Engineer-in-charge. (Cost of aluminium snap beading shall be paid in basic item):

Providing and fixing fly proof stainless steel grade 304 wire gauge, to windows and clerestory windows using wire gauge with average width of aperture 1.4 mm in both directions with wire of dia. 0.50 mm all complete.
SS wire mesh fabricated /riveted over suitable MS flat & fixed in shutter using EPDM/Neoprene gasket.
Providing and fixing expandable fasteners of specified size with necessary plastic sleeves and galvanised M.S. screws including drilling holes in masonry work /CC/ R.C.C. and making good etc. complete.

Providing and fixing to existing door frames.
30 mm thick Glass Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP) panelled door shutter of required colour and approved brand and manufacture, made with fire - retardant grade unsaturated polyester resin, moulded to 3 mm thick FRP laminate for forming hollow rails and styles, with wooden frame and suitable blocks of seasoned wood inside at required places for fixing of fittings, cast monolithically with 5 mm thick FRP laminate for panels conforming to IS: 14856, including fixing to frames.
Providing and fixing Fiber Glass Reinforced plastic (FRP) Door Frames of cross-section 90 mm x 45 mm having single rebate of 32 mm x 15 mm to receive shutter of 30 mm thickness. The laminate shall be moulded with fire resistant grade unsaturated polyester resin and chopped mat. Door frame laminate shall be 2 mm thick and shall be filled with suitable wooden block in all the three legs. The frame shall be covered with fiber glass from all sides. M.S. stay shall be provided at the bottom to steady] the frame.
Providing and fixing 1mm thick M.S. sheet door with frame of 40x40x6 mm angle iron and 3 mm M.S. gusset plates at the junctions and corners, all necessary fittings complete, including applying a priming coat of approved steel primer.

SECTION - H
PLASTERING
a) Before commencement of plastering the area shall be very closely hacked, cleaned, wetted and shall be marked with 'Thiyyas' or 'Tapanis' and shall be got approved by the Engineer-in-charge with no extra cost to Department b) Whenever the electrical contractor/ agency has to fix up switch boxes in walls, necessary Thiyyas or Dhadas shall be arranged prior to plastering so that the electrical boxes are fixed properly in line with the finished plastered surfaces. c) No extra claim/cement consumption shall be entertained by the Department for the plastering done more than the specified thickness shown in the schedule of quantities to bring the plastered surface to perfect line, level and plumb with adjoining columns and beams. d) Grooves/drip moulds of desired size in plaster shall be provided by the contractor without any extra cost to the department.
e) The FM of Fine sand should not be less than 1.25 f) Rates for external plaster are for all heights from ground level.

PAINTING.
a) The contractor shall clean the plastered surfaces as required before priming/painting and fill the crevices with approved filler, curing etc. complete all as per specifications without extra claim. b) The painting shall be carried out at all heights & no extra cost shall be paid for scaffolding c) No additional cost shall be entitled for scaffolding and for the extra height of the building more than 10m height
Providing and applying white cement based putty of average thickness 1 mm, of approved brand and manufacturer, over the plastered wall surface to prepare the surface even and smooth complete.
Applying priming coats with primer of approved brand and manufacture, having low VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content.
(a) With ready mixed pink or grey primer on wood work (hard and soft wood) having VOC content less than 50 grams/ litre.
(c ) With water thinnable cement primer on wall surface having VOC content less than 50 grams/litre.
Applying priming coat:
With ready mixed red oxide zinc chromate primer of approved brand and manufacture on steel galvanised iron/steel works
Wall painting with premium acrylic emulsion paint of interior grade, having VOC (Volatile Organic Compound ) content less than 50 grams/ litre. of approved brand and manufacture, including applying additional coats wherever required to achieve even shade and colour.

WATERPROOFING WORKS
Providing and laying integral cement based water proofing treatment including preparation of surface as required for treatment of roofs, balconies, terraces etc. consisting of following operations: a) Applying and grouting a slurry coat of neat cement using 2.75 kg. / sq.m. of cement admixed with proprietary water proofing compound conforming to IS:2645 over the RCC slab including adjoining walls upto 300mm height including cleaning the surface before treatment. cleaning the surface before treatment:
b) Laying brick bats with mortar using broken bricks / brick bats 25 mm to 100 mm size with 50% of cement mortar 1:5 (1 cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 over 20 mm thick layer of cement mortar of mix 1:5 (1cement : 5 coarse sand) admixed with proprietary water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645
to required slope and treating similarly the adjoining walls upto 300 mm height including rounding of junctions of walls and slabs false lines: c) After two days of proper curing applying a second coat of cement slurry admixed with proprietary water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645. and approved by Engineer In Charge d) Finishing the surface with 20 mm thick jointless cement mortar of mix 1:4 (1 cement : 4 coarse sand)
admixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS : 2645 and approved by Engineer-in-charge including laying glass fiber cloth of approved quality in top layer of plaster and finally finishing the surface with trowel with neat cement slurry and making of 300 x 300 mm square 3mm deep
e) The whole terrace so finished shall be flooded with water for a minimum period of two weeks for curing and for final test. All above operations to be done in order and as directed and specified by the Engineer-in-Charge.

Making top khurras 45x45cm with average minimum thickness of 5cm cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement : 2 Coarse sand : 4 graded stone aggregate of 20mm nominal size) over P.V.C sheet 1m x1m x 400 micron, finished with 12mm cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) and a coat of neat cement rounding the edges and making and finishing the outlet complete.
The Contractor has to submit a Performance Bank Guarantee of 10% of the value of the work under item No. 175-181 for a period of 10 years.

Providing and fixing hand rail of approved size by welding etc. to steel ladder railing, balcony railing, staircase railing and similar works, including applying a priming coat of approved steel primer.

Providing and laying water proofing treatment to vertical and horizontal surfaces of depressed portions of W.C., kitchen and the like consisting of : Ist course of applying cement slurry @ 4.4 Kg/sqm mixed with water proofing compound conforming to IS 2645 in
recommended proportions including rounding off junction of vertical and horizontal surface. This layer will be air cured for 4 hrs. IInd course of 20mm cement plaster 1:3 (1 cement : 3 coarse sand) mixed with water proofing compound in recommended proportion including rounding off junction of vertical and horizontal surface and finishing with neat cement punning. This layer will be air cured for 4 hrs.
Note: 1. The sunken slab shall be tested after the treatment for water tightness by imponding water for a period of 48 hours.

7)The piping for the entire system shall be designed for providing optimum flow rate, with Valves for easy maintenance. The interconnecting piping in the system shall be of G.I. The system is to be installed on terrace of Qtrs. blocks which is S+3 floors height. The wind pressure on exposed areas shall be taken as per IS code.
1)Three copies of Users' manual shall be provided after commissioning the system.
2)All the supporting members/ supports shall be painted with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of Zinc chromate primer.
3)The system should be provided/ designed, installed & commissioned to deliver hot water at 70 degree at any point deley any time & day of the year.
4)The tenderer should submit the manufacture's specifications, technical details and the list of similar works done during the last three years.
5)The system will be inspected and evaluated for quality aspects and performance by the faculties of reputed Laboratories/ Universities, which will be arranged by the Department. On receipt of certificate regarding efficiency and performance by the above institutions, the payment will be released.
6)The solar collector is required to be approved by Bureau of Indian Standards and certified by the Regional Test Laboratory under MNRE. Latest test certificate is to be furnished.
7)The work should be carried out without disturbing the service lines.
8) All the SWH shall be guaranteed against any manufacturing, materials defects for 60 months (5 years) from the date of Commissioning.

Street Light Pole Supply, installation, testing and commissioning of swaged type MS tubular 9-meter-long with planting depth 1.5 meters’ street light poles. The effective length of each section shall be- bottom: 5 meters, middle 2 meters and top 2 meters. The outside dia and thickness of pole shall be minimum 114.30x4.40mm, 88.9x4.085mm, 76.1x3.25mm respectively as required. The pole shall be provided with necessary bracket (inclination 105 degree, length 1.5 meter, dia 45 mm) for mounting upto 72 W LED street light fixture. Each pole shall have a weather proof (IP67) looping/terminal box clamped at 550 mm above ground level along with a suitable earth terminal. The looping box shall be provided with a suitable Power terminal arrangement to loop 4C x10sq.mm size cable and MCB/5A fuse cut-out. A base plate 300 x300x10mm shall be welded to the bottom of the pole. Both underground cable and GI earth wire shall be terminated at the terminal/ looping box in the looping zone. Further wiring to the light fixture shall be done with three core flexible copper wire (2core for power supply and third core for earthing).
