FALSE CEILIG WORK Providing and fixing in false ceiling with 12.50 mm thick plain gypsum board : Providing, fixing and finishing two level false ceiling ( Tentative levels of the first and second level of finished false ceiling soffits may be 450 mm and below the roof slab) using 12.50 mm thick plan gypsum boards of M/S Saint Gobain or approved equivalent, fixed to the suspended grid, fabricated and provided fixed to the soffit of roof/ beams and wall using – Gypsteel Ultra ceiling sections- perimeter channels of size 20 mm x 28 mm x 30 mm fixed to the wall using metal screws and nylon sleeves recommended by the manufacturer at a spacing not exceeding 600mm c/c, intermediate channels of size 15 mm x 45 mm x 15 mm at a spacing not exceeding 1200mm c/c suspended using ceiling angles of size 25 mm x 10 mm and appropriate length, fixed to the soffit of R.C.C. beams / slabs using G.I soffit cleats of size 27 mm x 37 mm x 25 mm x 1.6 mm and metal expansion fasteners of 38 mm x 12 mm diameter at a spacing not exceeding 1200 mm c/c, ceiling sections of size 80mm 26 mm x 51 mm provided across the intermediate channel at a spacing of 475 mm c/c, at bottom which shall be fixed by G.I connecting clips of 2.64 mm diameter at junctions. The ceiling channels shall be provided with a minimum overlap of 50 mm at joints and fixed to the perimeter channels using metal screws at ends. The works shall be carried out as per the manufacturer’s Specifications using cold rolled Gypsteel Ultra sections and Gypsum boards manufactured by Gypsum India Ltd. Or approved equivalent. Additional perimeter channels / ceiling sections shall be provided around the cut outs for light fittings A/C diffusers etc. Additional support for cut outs to be provided at no extra cost.
