M & L for servicing of DG set of capacity 250 KVA by carrying out the following maintenance as under including testing on completion at connected load for entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge and complete all as specified and directed :- (a) Draining out engine oil from the sump by removing drain plug, cleaning the sump thoroughly and refilling the sump with new engine oil to required level (Note: Engine Oil will be measured and paid separately as 'Supply Only') (b) Draining out of diesel from tank and storing in cleaned containers, cleaning the tank thoroughly by removing sediments settled at the bottom and refilling the drained out diesel duly filtered. (c) Supply and replace complete set of fuel filters, engine oil filters and air cleaner element. (d) Draining out complete coolant water mixture from the radiator and re-filling the radiator with new coolant and water mixture with proportionate ratio (Note: Coolant will be measured and paid separately as 'Supply Only') (e) Check and top up the electrolyte/distilled water in starting batteries to maintain the required specific gravity. Cleaning of battery terminals & applying petroleum jelly to battery poles & brass connectors. (f) Tightening all the fasteners of complete DG set to the required torque. Make - Kirloskar

Supply only engine oil of grade 15W-40 for various DG Sets. Make : KOEL/Valvoline/Gulf/Castrol.

Supply only of coolant water mixture (50:50) suitable for DG sets. Make : KOEL/Valvoline/Gulf/Castrol.

Supply and replace complete set of fuel pipes & leak off pipe with clamps suitable for existing make & model of DG set up to 250 KVA capacity.

Supply and replace 'V' belt suitable for existing make & model of DG set up to 250 KVA capacity .

Supply and replace complete set of hoses with clamps suitable for existing make & model of DG set up to 250 KVA capacity

Attending of urgent complaints in any breakdown of standby DG sets upto 250 KVA at any location in Nasirabad Cantt under GE Nasirabad, whenever required round the clock, rectify the fault and restore the standby supply within one hour after receipt of the complaint, complete all as specified. Note : (i) The cost of all kind of replaced defective parts / spares / control cards / oil / lubricants etc, as and when required to making the DG Set fully functional, will be measured and paid separately under respective items only. (ii) The cost of all kind of minor parts / spares, other than mentioned in BOQ, as and when required to making the DG Set fully functional, is deemed to be included in quoted rates and no extra cost shall be paid to the contractor in this effect. (iii) If complaint is not attended by the contractor within two hour the penalty as applicable shall be impossed on him. (iv) Contractor to give the name of machanic, electrician and helpers those will attend the urgent breakdown. (v) All kind of transportation (to and fro) for all kind of necessary equipment/T&P shall be arranged/brought by contractor to complete the job at site or at workshop and no extra cost shall be paid to the contractor in this effect. (vi) Complaints shall be lodged by telephonically, so contractor has to give the telephone number of person who will receive the complaint round the clock.Normal defect rectification such as relay settings , loose wirings , oiling / greasing , sensor based settings include in this work . No separate cost will be charged against minor defect rectification.

De-scaling of radiator assembly by carefully removing from the engine, transporting to civil workshop and removing the sediments, scales and rust etc by means of chemical cleaning, high pressure water washing and air cleaning, arresting the leakages by gas welding / soldering with suitable material, re-assembling the same with new gaskets including replacement of radiator cap (wherever required) and transporting to the site, fixing to the engine for DG Set of capacity 250 KVA and testing for satisfactory performance complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling the defective fuel injectors & FIP from the engine and Material & Labour for repair/calibration of fuel injectors & FIP including replacement of barrel plunger, cups & ‘O’ rings etc. for DG Set of capacity 250 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling/disconnecting the head of the engine carefully and opening the head for overhauling including the replacement following spare parts transporting the materials / parts to (Authorised workshop) for lathe works & calibration replacement the minor & major parts , like nuts, bolts,washers,gaskets, flexible pipes hose pipes, Piston rings, piston,Gasket set complete and value setting-assembling complete including installation at site and refixing the head with engine complete with proper alignment and testing the engine for 1 hrs on load to achive designed parameters ion presence of Engineer-in-Charge of capacity 82.5 KVA to 250 KVA. Note for item No 23.00 : - (a) Piston rings,Piston, flexible pipes, hose pipes, set of head etc material measured and paid separately. (b) Unit rate quoted shall also be included for testing the whole system and repair of any leakage. (c) Top up of Oil Premium blue 15 W 40 oil and coolant shall be measured and paid separately.

M & L for opening the cylinder head of the engine and oil sump carefully for replacement of head gasket including sump gasket complete refixing the head and sump to arrest oil leakage with engine complete with proper alignment and testing the engine for 1 hrs on load to achive designed parameters all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge of capacity 82.5 KVA to 250 KVA. .

Taking down unserviceable lube oil pressure sender and Supply and fix Lube Oil Pressure Sender (Sensor + Switch) suitable for DG set of capacity 250 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling the defective self starter assembly 12V/24V carefully from the DG set and carryout repair and servicing by cleaning all accessories with suitable cleaning agent and supply and replace commutator, carbon brush set, carbon brush holder, king pin holder, armature choke nut, body screens, clutch plate assembly and solenoid etc, re-assembling and re-fixing the same and testing on completion for DG set of capacity from 250 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling the defective 24 V battery charging alternator carefully from any capacity of DG set and carryout repair and servicing by cleaning all accessories with suitable cleaning agent and supply and replace carbon brush, brush holders, bushes/bearings, varnishing etc, re-assembling and re-fixing the same and testing on completion complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

All as per item No 17.00 here-in-before but 12 V battery charging alternator for any capacity of DG set.

Supply and fix RPM Meter with cable suitable for DG Set including taking down of existing unserviceable meter complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and connect battery lead (1.50m long each set of 2 Red & Black) made out of PVC Insulated Plain/Striped Automobile Cables with high conductivity bright annealed copper conductor bunched together, insulated with dielectric grade PVC compound (impervious to oils, greases, acids, petrol and water) conforming to IS 2465 of size 25 sqmm soldered one end with brass connector with nuts and bolts for battery pole and the other with copper lug for self starter terminal including taking down of existing u/s battery lead with connector and lug of any description complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and replace brass connector with bolt and nut suitable for positive/negative pole of battery of any size.

Taking down unserviceable AVR of any description from alternator including supply and fixing of new AVR of suitable model for existing alternator of capacity 250 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Dismantling the defective alternator from DG set, transporting to civil work shop, separating the stator and rotor from alternator housing, cutting and removing burnt winding of stator completely, cleaning the slots and rewinding the stator with existing gauge of super enameled copper wire with suitable grade of insulation, applying varnish and heating in heating chamber till completely dried and reassembling the alternator, transporting back to site and re-fixing to the DG set including proper alignment for smooth running and testing on completion for DG set of capacity 250 KVA complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in replacement of left hand/ right hand hinge suitable for acoustic enclosure doors for DG set of capacity up to 250 KVA including removing of existing broken hinge complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply and fix in replacement of left hand/ right hand lock with catcher suitable for locking doors of acoustic enclosure for DG set of capacity up to 250 KVA including removing of existing unserviceable lock complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for 2.0mm thick Mild steel, plain, black sheet in mobile DG set housing, wall cladding, steel gates and similar work, cut to size, holes punched; including round headed screws, clout nails or rivets and fixed steel framing with plain 40 mm lap joints with riveted or welded seams, including bending or turning up, mitred angles, etc. as required and applying two coats of synthetic enamel paint of approved colour over a coat of red oxide primer including cutting and removing corroded sheet complete all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material & Labour for Framed work as in doors or gates of angle or other section with gusset plates, rails, braces, etc., complete, drilled for fixing of steel sheeting or other covering.
