Annual maintenance contract of Landscape gardens ZoneII and attending daily complaints of cutting and disposal of fallen trees Public health works in IITM Main campus and IITM Discovery campus at Thaiyur Tiruporur for the year Feb2026 to Mar2027

Maintenance of lawns, hedges, shrubs and other plant components by watering, hoeing, weeding on day to day basis, removal of garden waste, application of vermicompost, organic fertilizer & pesticides (whenever required) and mowing of lawn at regular intervals at various locations including trimming the hedges using shears around the lawn area every month and sweeping dried leaves over the lawn falling from the standing trees at site and also other garden related works as directed by Officer-in-charge. The rate includes of ESI and PF for employees as per government rules. (Cost of organic pesticides will be paid separately, Vermicompost supplied by IITM at free of cost, cost for lawn mower, other T & P material/articles shall be provided by the contractor). The work needs to be carried out in 12 locations as attached in Annexure.

Maintenance of lawns at ingate including hoeing, weeding, gap filling, operating & watering through sprinkler system mowing of lawn, grass cutting by lawn mower, removal of garden waste, applying organic insect ide, pesticide & fertilizers (whenever required), maintenance of other related works as directed by office-in-charge. The rate includes of ESI and PF for employees as per government rules. (Cost of vermicopost, organic fertilizers & pesticides will be paid separately and cost for lawn mover, other T & P material/ articles shall be provided by the contractor). The work needs to be carried out in Main gate as attached in Tender Schedule.

Towards labour charges (2 NOS OF UNSKILLD LABOURS) for maintenance of nursery at BEGH premises. The nature of work includes watering, weeding of potted plants, propagation of available nursery plants for Vertical gardens, Re-potting of plants, and display of plants for workshops / Seminars / Conferences / Convocation conducted in the Institute. The necessary vehicle for transportation of plants will be provided by the Institute as directed by the Officer-in-charge. The rate includes of ESI and PF for employees as per government rules.

Towards labour charges for maintenance of herbal garden ( 2 no of Semi skilled labour) near KV school & Bhadra hostel and maintenance of vertical garden consists of 2000nos of pot, replacing of unhealthy plants with good plants etc, complete.The rate includes of ESI and PF for employees as per government rules.

Towards labour charges (6 NOS OF SEMI SKILLED LABOURS) & One Supervisor (highly skilled category) for trimming the branches which are protruding into the houses and on road sides, near street lights in a Residential, Academic and Hostel zones; Cutting and disposal of dead trees, fallen trees (fallen naturally or due to cyclone and during rainy days) which are obstructing the vehicular movements and sign boards on main roads and all cross roads etc., complete. (The petrol and oil needed for running the petrol driven 18" & 24" chain saw should also be provided by Contractor). Watering the pots kept for deers at 70 different location throughout the campus from March through October. (Tractor & tanker for transporting the water will be given by IITM). Disposal of Palmyrah fronds on the roads all around the campus, Cleaning of bushes for a width 2 meters from the outer wall of hostels to enable the housekeeping staff to collected the garbage around the hostel and watering the trees planted by retirees and Horticulture section throughout the campus as directed by Officer-in-charge. The labour rate is includes of ESI and PF for employees as per government rules.

Hire charges for earth mover (JCB) for moving the fallen trees on road sides and for earth work, cleaning, levelling, filling, uprooting works and etc., the rate includes fuel charges and operator charges etc., complete. (Hiring of JCB – utilization at IITM main campus & Discovery (Thaiyur) campus)

Towards charges for loading the cut & dead tree branches and transporting upto a distance of 5km inside IIT Madras by mechanical transport and unloading as directed by the Officer-in-Charge. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of labour, equipment and hire charges for truck etc., complete. The minimum capacity of the truck shall be 75cft.

Towards charges for climbing and manual removal of ripened palmyrah fruits and fronds along the road sides namely Delhi, Bonn, Adyar, Alumini & Madras Avenues, Hostel, play field roads, inside the fencing area of houses and also in the school premises of IITM campus to avoid falling of fruits on passers-by.

Towards labour charges for attending emergency works like cutting and dsiposal of trees, branches fallen naturally or due to cyclone and during rainy days after office hours at Residential, Academic and Hostel zones which are obstructing the vehicular movements and sign boards on main roads and all cross roads etc., complete.

Towards labour charges for spraying of anti-termite and drilling / Pest control spray at various locations inside the IITM Campus. The rate quoted shall be inclusive of labour rate, gloves etc. complete. The work shall be carried out between 8.30 am to 5.30pm..

Supply of Imidacloprid 30.5% SC.

Supply and application of Azadirachtin 1% EC (10000 ppm) like Neemazal T/S or equivalent for maintenance of lawns and plants. The rate is inclusive of transportation charges and applicable GST etc., complete.

Supplying and stacking of Red soil at site. (Voids@ 20% will be deducted).

Maintenance of Lawn, gardens, and Avenue trees at IITM Discovery campus at Thaiyur.

Complete maintenance of trees (Out side garden features), jobs like making of basin at regular interval i/c watering, weeding, pruning & application of fertilizer etc, (excluding the cost of material which shall be supplied by the department and other T & P contractor) and as per direction of officer in charge.material/articles shall be provided by the contractor) and as per direction of officer in charge. For 12 months Period. (One semi skilled category). * A dedicated Agricultural/Horticultural graduate with a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience should be employed by the contractor for supervision of horticulture and landscaping works at both IIT Madras Main Campus and IIT Madras Discovery Campus.

Providing and wartering of plants through water tanker of Horticulture features i.e. lawn, tree, shrubs, hedge/edge, ground cover etc. at the site of work. Water tanker having 6000 lit. capacity with one labour for watering i/c cost of water, filling of tanker, wartering at site with all leads and lifts as per direction of officer-in-charge

Supplying and stacking of Red soil at site. (Voids@ 20% will be deducted)

Supplying and stacking of well decayed cattle manure at site including royalty and carriage upto 5 k.m.lead complete (Voids@ 8% will be deducted).

Note: A. The horticulture work shall be carried out as per the terms and conditions stipulated in the eligibility documents, financial bids, minutes of the pre-bid meeting, corrigendum, etc. The quoted rate shall be inclusive of GST, all labour charges, materials, equipment charges, PF, and ESI or medical health insurance (minimum coverage of Rs. 5.00 lakhs family floater, preferably under Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) or equivalent schemes, if not covered under ESI), transportation charges, overheads, etc. B. The minimum wages shall be as prescribed by the Central or State Government (whichever is higher), and as per the orders issued by the Central Labour Commissioner, Government of India, for the relevant category. The minimum wages for the workers shall be fixed under Area - A, applicable to both the IITM Main Campus and the IITM Discovery Campus C.Gratuity to be paid as per the new Labour Codes as published by the Government of India, and the same will be reimbursed as per actuals
