Replacement of old CI Pipes to DI Pipes (2 KM Stretch) at Suratgarh Mil Stn under GE (A) Suratgarh

Taking out existing old rusted 500 mm bore Cast Iron (CI) Pipe from trenches including lead joints, fittings, etc complete all as specified & as directed. Note :- Excavation & earthwork shall be measured and paid for separately under relevant items of this Schedule.

Supply, laying, jointing, commissioning and testing centrifugally cast Ductile Iron (DI) Spun pressure pipes (Class K9) of 500 mm bore (ISI marked) conforming to IS : 8329-2000 with internal cement mortar lining and external zinc coating (130 gm/sqm minimum) and bituminous finish layer (minimum thickness 70 microns) with socket & spigot ends with push on joints with & including EPDM rubber gasket laid in trenches complete all as specified & as directed. Notes :- (i) DI Pipes shall be laid in trenches already excavated for taking out old CI pipe line for which excavation & earthwork shall be measured & paid for separately under relevant items of this Schedule. (ii) DI fittings / specials and PCC for supporting structure for pipes shall be measured & paid for separately under relevant items of this Schedule.

M&L for plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate as in supporting structure to DI pipes, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates and the like including weathering, slightly rounded, chamfered angle and throating as directed including use and waste of form work (straight or curved) all exposed surface of concrete finished fair complete all as specified & as directed.

M&L for cutting/dismantling of PCC hardstanding / Interlocking tiles path / WBM road with soling & premix carpet of any description for replacement of 500mm bore water supply pipe line and disposal of debris & rubbish to a distance exc 250m but not exc 500m and making good the same with & including plain cement concrete 1:2:4 type B1 (using 20mm graded crushed stone aggregate) after replacement of pipe line complete all as specified & as directed.

Excavating in trenches, not exc 1.5 metre wide and not exc 1.5 metre in depth, for foundation, etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. laying cables, pipes, etc. not exc 10 Sqm on plan & not exc 1.5m in depth and getting out in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, leveling watering and well ramming in layers not exc 25 cm thick in soft/loose soil complete all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated soil/material to a distance not exc 50 metre and depositing where directed at a level not exc 1.50 metre above the starting point complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for jointing of CI Pipe Line of 500mm bore with socket & spigot ends with lead joint and making leak proof joint complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F GI Pipe medium grade of 100mm bore (ISI marked) of 0.50 metre length with both ends flanged (for air valve) with & including high tensile bolts, nuts, washer and jointing material etc including dismantling of old existing unserviceable GI pipe complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for Valve Pit of internal size 150cm x 150cm x 160cm (depth) built in brick masonry complete all as specified in Particular Specifications and as shown on drawing No. BTD-811 Sheet No. 1/2 & 2/2 including dismantling of old existing unserviceable vale pit.

Supply and fixing Ductile Iron fittings, specials (K-12) such as bends, tapers, collars, reducers, tee pieces (single or double branch) any type, angle/radius and straight connecting pieces etc (ISI marked) conforming to IS-9523 for flanged/socket and spigot ends suitable for DI pipe upto 600 mm bore complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply and fixing ductile iron tamper proof double orifice kinetic Air Release Valve (ISI marked) conforming to IS-14845 of size 100 mm bore Class PN 1.6 type DK with stainless steel floats and RAL 5005 blue epoxy coating flanged inlet including high tensile bolts, nuts, washer and jointing materials etc, fixed in repairs, complete all as specified and as directed.
