General Notes:- i) Manual entry for cleaning the Sewer chambers and septic tanks is banned in BARC. ii) Tenderers are advised to visit the site of work with prior permission of Engineer- in- Charge/ authorised representative to acquaint themselves with the nature and location of work before quoting tender. iii) During execution of work all labourers, supervisors & engineers of contractors shall use personal protective equipments. Work execution without PPE's shall not be permited.BARC construction safety manual, SOP for cleaning of Sewer and septic tanks of "Ministry of Housing and urban affairs",Goverment of India , November 2018 and SOP of BARC 2019 shall be followed during execution of works. iv) Any work activity shall be started at site with prior work permit issued by departmental safety officer/Engineer/Supervisor. v) No Muck/debris/silt shall be left over during the cleaning works under each item on any day.

Mechanised cleaning of canteen drainage lines, sewer lines,strom water lines and all interconnecting lines between the chambers of various depths and removing muck, solids from manholes /Inspection chambers/septic tanks/collection wells of Canteen and toilets within the BARC premises & BARC Hospital, by high quality truck mounted Jetting cum Suction machine( Single vehicle for both operations) of minimum 6000 litres capacity and disposing off the same at the designated site within the BARC primeses or as decided by the Engineer-in-charge.The rate is inclusive of providing manpower such as one driver, operator & helper (3 nos) with tools, all PPE's and all safety equipments required to carry out the job. 'Notes : I) Pumping arrangements for water is to be made by contractor at his own cost.The water for jetting will be provided by deparment. II) The Jetting cum suction machine vehicle will work 8 (Eight) hours 30 (Thirty) minutes per day basis with 30 minutes of break, inside the BARC premises and the hours will be calculated after reaching at work place, site, respective buildings etc. Parking space will be given at the time of continuous work condition with prior approval from competent authority. III) All PPE's and all safety equipments are to be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost. IV) Payment will be made according to hours calculated per vehicle on pro rata basis. IV) In case of emegency night duty working hours no extra payment will be paid additionaly. In such cases, the payment will be paid as mentioned in the Point no. IV above i.e, on pro rata basis. V) In case emergency if there is sever chokeges at multiple locations , seperate vechile shall be arranged on the same day to carry out the work. VI) In case of failure of vehicle during cleaning operation another vehical to be arranged by the contractor without any delay. Conditions: 1. The above rates shall be inclusive of cost of supply of Vehicle, Fuel, wages of Drivers and other consumables etc. 2. The Reporting time at the place of duty / as instructed by EIC shall be considered for the billing / measurement / payment. 3. In case the vehicle is parked inside the BARC premises then the reporting time of the driver to EIC shall be considered for the billing/ measurement/ payment. 4. Break Down Hours as per actuals and Lunch break (30 min.) timings shall not be considered for payment. 5. Fraction of hours shall be rounded off to nearest half an hour at the time of preparing the Running / final bills. 6. BARC being a strategic Organisation, the driver should have good credentials and shall have valid PVC, driving license and address proof. They should be in a position to understand Hindi / English / local language. 7. The vehicle shall be maintained in good running condition with good upholstery, fitness, good tyres and shall commensurate with the image of BARC. The tyres of the vehicles shall be replaced periodically and always with tyres of good condition. 8. The vehicle should be free from all sorts of defects and will be subjected to inspection by a representative of BARC whose decision is final and binding as regards suitability of that particular vehicle. 9. The vehicle should be transport vehicle and preferably in white colour with a board "ON GOVERNMENT OF INDIA DUTY". 10. The cost of POL, maintenance of vehicle including replacement of parts, wages of driver, Motor Vehicle taxes, comprehensive insurance, etc. shall be payable by the Contractor and BARC shall have no liability towards usage of the vehicle. 11. The cost of damages to any Government movable/immovable property in and around the site shall be entirely borne by the Contractor. 12. The rates are inclusive of all taxes if any, including Goods & Service taxes (GST). 13. The contractor shall arrange adequate insurance coverage for his personnel. Department shall not be responsible for any liability arising out of any accident / injury caused to the driver while executing the job. 14. The contractor shall follow minimum wages act and other rules of Government of Maharashtra. 15. No revision of price shall be entertained during the period of contract.

Supply of manpower for carrying out emergency pumping operations like dewatering in flood prone areas during monsoon with necessary tools,PPE's etc. and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: Dewatering pumps, pipes, electrical connection, MCB etc. will be provided by department. Manpower mentioned in this item is irrespective of manpower mentioned in item no. 1 .

Providing 15 mm thick plastering using Ready mix internal plastering compound of approved make for internal faces of brickwork / concrete surfaces including preparation of the surface, curing, cleaning, scaffolding complete all as per specifications and as directed at site by the Engineer-in-charge

Providing Raised and cut pointing on stone with cement moratr 1:3 using crushed sand as per specifications and as directed at site by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing Structural steel work using angles, channels, joists and other sections, welded and / or bolted in built up sections for trusses, structural steel floors, frame works, monorails and other structures including supplying, cutting, welding, fabricating, hoisting, fixing in position, applying a priming coat of approved steel primer etc. complete all as per specifications, drawings and as directed by the Engineer in charge.Up to and including 300 mm Joists, 350 mm channels, and below sections using materials of approved manufacturers confirming to IS:2062. All test reports to be provided along with the supply of the materials.

Providing Structural steel work in M.S Plain Plates and chequrred Plates for Embedded Parts, Trench Covers, Connection plates etc.including cutting, hoisting, fixing in position and applying a priming coat of approved zinc chromate steel primer etc.including cost of structural steel Plates, welding all labour charges etc. complete as per drawings and specifications.Using materials of approved manufacturers confirming to IS:2062. All test reports to be provided along with the supply of the materials. 'Important Notes for Item No. 19 & 20 : 1. The contractor shall supply documentary evidence of purchase of steel, Test certificate from approved manufacturers and also third party testing from approved laboratories with out any extra cost. 2. Welding weights, connections, bolts and nuts shall not be measured for payment but the cost of which shall be deemed to have been included in the rates. 3. Welding Electrodes manufactured by M/s. Advani Oerlicon / ESAB India & D& H of specified suitable grade only shall be used. 4. Holes to be drilled only by Drilling machines and gas cutting of holes are not permitted. 5. Carrying out core cutting beyond 150 mm up to and including 200 mm Dia. size in RCC slab at various levels using Non Vibrational core drilling machine attached with circular Diamond cutting core bit as required at site & as per instruction of Engineer-in-Charge including labour, material, machine, consumable tools & tackles etc. with safety precaution etc. complete. Breaking of brick bat coba and plaster will measured and paid in relevant items

De-silting of deposited silt by excavation by using hydra from the stilling ponds & drains, canals,wells etc. at various locations and size including removing of wild vegitations, creepers,dry muck if any by the side of the ponds as per the directions of Engineer-In-Charge. All PPE's and all safety equipments are to be arranged by the Contractor at his own cost. Note : The cost of supplying Hydra is included in the rate.

Providing and laying in position Reinforced Cement Concrete (RCC) of grade M-30 using 20mm maximum size aggregates and crushed sand of approved quality including admixtures of approved brand and quality (plasticiser or super plasticiser) if required, including weigh batching, mechanical mixing, transporting, placing, vibrating, consolidation, finishing, curing etc. complete but excluding the cost of centering, shuttering and reinforcement complete as per specifications. up to Plinth Level.

Providing structural repairs in old damaged concrete structures / surfaces with approved Polymer with following operations 1) Removal of loose/Spalled or damaged concrete by chipping and cleaning the concrete surface and reinforcement steel with wire brush and with water 2) Cleaning the re bars with Acetone for complete rust removal and washing with water to make the surface clean. 3) Applying protective coat / bond coat using polymer and cement in the proportion of 1; 1.5 (1 part of polymer and 1.5 parts of cement in synthetic enamal paint like consistancy with brush 4) Reinstate the area with polymer modified mortar in layers of maximum 20 mm with the proportion of Cement 50 Kg : washed and dried river sand 87.50 kg ; silica sand 37.50 Kg. mixed with 10 litres of Polymer (or 1 Kg cement : 1.75 kg washed and dried river sand ; 0.75 Kg silica sand : 200 ml polymer) '5) If thickness of repair exceeds 20mm, after every 20 mm thick repair, bond coat as per 2 above to be applied and further thick of repair to be continued for each layer. Dismantling and demolition of existing closed underground RCC drain roof slab of various sizes carefully cooling tower, etc. by using DUST FREE DIAMOND WIRE SAW CUTTING / WALL SAWING / SUITABLE BLADE CUTTING SYSTEM with remote operation arrangements. Lowering the cut slabs carefully without damaging adjacent structures using suitable capacity cranes, stacking of Unserviceable materials at designated locations inside the plant premises upto a lead of 2 km as per the the drawings and instructions of Engineer-in-Charge.
