| 7.00Waterproofing course: Supply and Application of flexible Thermoplastic Polyolefin (TPO) Membrane having minimum thickness of 1.5 mm with Reinforced Fabric (RF) / scrim; which shall be free from plasticizer, chlorine & phthalate and should meet the specifications as per ASTM D6878 (EN13956 for European makes) and is manufactured using a hot-melt extrusion process for complete scrim (reinforcing fabric) encapsulation.The rate shall include TPO membrane rolls, TPO drain accessories, preformed edge and corner accessories with PU/epoxy/Hybrid sealant, high performance hydrophilic adhesive with good adhesion and water repellent property and suitable Stainless Steel / Aluminium / electroplated fasteners with plate washers of adequate size with PU/Hybrid Sealant/putty detailing. Membrane is to be rolled over the adhesive while its still wet or in tacky condition. Termination Detailing Providing and fixing structural / industrial aluminium sections at the terminated ends of waterproofing membrane at top of parapet / at termination of expansion joints to secure membrane sheets against blowing using stainless steel chemical fasteners of required size and make including joint and gap sealing with PU Sealant/ Polysulphide sealant (or equivalent) as approved and directed by Engineer-In-Charge
Lead & lift charges for reinstating surcharge weights of 35mm thick concrete paver blocks over the entire area above the installed membrane layer to protect the membrane from dislodging as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Expansion Joint Providing and fixing rope suspended platfrom of 250kg capacity with dual parapet anchor support and designed base for counterweight load distribustion over prefabricated roof including all safety measures as per manufacturer's issued guidelines and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. The suspended platform shall be included with all required appurtenance for safe execution of work. The platfrom shall be workable for a maximum height of 40m. The platform shall be installed and removed twice for treating both side (East & West) expansion joint. The item shall be measured as per maximum height covered under each installation. Repair of expansion joint shall be paid under relevant items

Providing and Fixing 30-40mm thick Polyurethane / LDPE EPE foam Backer Rod in the expansion joint 25mm beneath the top concrete surface and sealing in position using PU sealant (Gun grade or Pour grade as per field requirement) or any other compatible material as specified by manufacturer of TPE tape and as directed by Engineer in charge including removal of existing joint filler upto required depth and cleaning / grinding of adjacent concrete top surface for adhesion of TPE tape. Note: Backer rod shall be 3-5mm greater than the width of groove. Baker rod should be placed 10-15mm below the finished concrete surface and sealant shall be flushed finished with the top of concrete surface. Note: In case, groove / expansion joint width is greater than the specified, Contractor shall install wider baker rod at no extra cost.
Providing and fixing reinforced TPE tape of required width using two-component, low viscosity, thixotropic epoxy adhesive compatible with tape material including surface grinding and smoothening for paint and surface undulations removal, cleaning of dust, joint sealing with aluminium section and polysulphide etc. Complete. The tape shall be measured for the actual length of expansion joint treated. (Aluminium sections shall be paid under relevant item)
