RECTIFICATION OF DEFECTS TO EPOXY POLYURETHANE FLOORING IN TECH BUILDINGS (RISK AND COST) AT AF STATION UNDER GE(AF) CHABUA

Amount

(a) Preparation/cleaning the old flooring surface, making the surface contamination free such as oil, grease, mortar and paint splashes by grinding the surface and scarifying the whole surface. All surface should be made dust free by vacuum and cleaning the same. (b) M&L applying one coat of primer Nitoprime 25 or equivalent with brush or spray. The surface layer after that should be allowed to dry before applying the next treatment. (c) M&L applying Polyurethane self levelling flooring Nitofloor SL 2000 UB or equivalent as screed 3.5mm thick. The PU self leveling stage to be provided with V notch trowel and rolled by spike roller to release the air. (d) M&L laying PU floor topping with Trafficguard UR 150 or equivalent. The process to be completed with following steps:- (i) Applying first coat of Trafficguard UR 150 wear course on Nitofloor SL 2000 UB and wait for drying. (ii) Applying Trafficguard UR 150 wear course second coat on the dried first coat. Total thickness should be 400 microns (after both coats). (e) Total thickness of Polyurethane flooring shall be 4mm. (f) Testing of the flooring shall be done for tensile strength and tear strength as per ASTM D412 and D624 respectively. Notes:- (i) Work shall be carried by authorised applicator of the manufacturer under manufacturer's supervision. (ii) Testing of all the polyurethane items/joint filling materials shall be done as per IS/ASTM before incorporation of materials in the work.

M&L for raking of joints/removing old any sealing compound, dirt from DUMMY/CONSTRUCTION JOINTS 10 mm wide (+ 3 mm) and 30 mm deep, cleaning the joint sides properly by mechenical means with diamond cutter, filling the joints with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethene foam backup rod of 10 mm dia and applying bond breaker tape on top of backup rod for complete width of the joints, priming top with specified primer suitable for polysulfied sealing compound and filling polysulfied based sealent, 10 mm thick including using masking tape on edges of joints to avoid accidental spillage of sealent on top of surface of pavements complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for raking of joint/removing old sealing compound, dirt from EXPANSION JOINTS 20mm wide (+3 mm) and 40 mm deep, cleaning the joint sides properly by mechanical means with diamond cutter, filling the joints with closed cell, medium density, cross linked polyethene foam backup rod of 20mm dia and applying bond breaker tape on top of backup rod for complete width of the joints, priming top with specified primer suitable for polyurethane sealing compound and filling polyurethane based sealant, 10 mm thick including using masking tape on edges of joints to avoid accidental spillage of sealant on top of surface of pavements complete all as specified and directed.

Demolition of Cement Concrete (unreinforced) of any description and in any position including removing debris to a distance nexc 100m complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Pavement quality concrete (PQC) of minimum 28 days field Flexural strength of 45Kg/Sqcm or 4.5 MPA aggregate gradation as per Table 3 of IRC 15-2017, coarse aggregate, of clean, hard strong, dense, non-porous and durable pieces of crushed stone or gravel, fine aggregates of clean natural sand or crushed stone sand or combination of both using minimum 400 Kg/cum of cement with non-circular, virgin synthetic fibre of 12-18 mm length, specific gravity 1.34 to 1.39, UV stable alkali resistant with equivalent dia 15.40 micron, minimum melting temperature as 240 degree celcius and minimum tensile strength of 300 Mpa and at the rate as specified by the manufacturer. PQC laid, spread and compacted manually including curing and tining by Texturing cum curing machine complete all as specified and directed. Required surface texturing to be done as specified in clause 10.1.14 and table 9 of IRC : 15-2017 complete all as specified and as directed.
