Short Term Maintenance Contract STMC for NH 69 from Km 401 300 to Km 494 450 Chikkaballapura Mulbaga section in the State of Karnataka

Maintenance of Earthen Shoulder (filling with fresh soil) Making up loss of material / irregularities on shoulder to the design level by adding fresh approved soil and compacting it with appropriate equipment. (Average filling depth 150 mm), including all labour, usage charges of machinery, lead, lifts, loading, unloading transporting etc., complete. & removing to unservicable soil. P.No 136, I No.10.02 A NH SR 2022-23

The maintenance of drains include erosion, repair, clearing, cleaning, reshaping, regrading, deepening of side drains as well as catch water drains as per technical specification Clause 1908(PWD SR Vol III 2023-24 P No.147 I No 16.19). Clearing longitudinal and transverse covered drains and pipe drains including manholes, gratings, channels and gullies etc. and bringing them to original drainage capacity, including disposal of sediments, extraneous debris and vegetation growth blocking the free flow from site outside ROW with all leads and lifts complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer and as per Maintenance Standards Clause no. 3.1. The job also includes removing and refixing of precast slab in original position, (Frequency of cleaning will be as per site requirement however limited to twice in a year).

Clearing cleaning, deepening and reshaping of roadside unlined/ kaccha drains and making shallow kaccha Iateral drains on shoulders wherever required, including removal and disposal of sediments, extraneous debris and vegetation growth blocking the free flow from site outside ROW with all leads and lifts complete in all respects as directed by the Engineer- ln-Charge and as per Maintenance Standard Clause no. 3.1 (Frequency of cleaning in urban areas will be quarterly whereas in rural areas, it will be twice in a year i.e. before and after monsoon).a) Drains having depth upto 0.6 meter

Maintenance of Slab type Culverts by way of clearing, Cleaning, Erosion repair, repairs to cracks, parapet walls and Protection works as per drawing and technical specification (PWD SR Vol III 2023-24 P No.147 I No 16.20). Clearing slab/ box type culverts and pipe culverts including clearing, cleaning and reshaping of upstream and downstream faces of these culverts within right of way. The job includes disposal of excess material recovered from site including vegetation outside ROW with all leads and lifts complete in all respects as per direction of Engineer-ln-Charge and as per Maintenance Standards Clause 3.1 (Frequency of cleaning will be one time in a year i.e. before start of monsoon). a)Slab /Box culverts

Clearing and grubbing road land including uprooting rank vegetation, grass, bushes, shrubs, saplings and trees girth up to 300 mm, removal of stumps of trees cut earlier and disposal of unserviceable materials by (Tractor) and stacking of serviceable material to be used or auctioned, up to a lead of 1000 meters including removal and disposal of top organic soil not exceeding 150 mm in thickness including all labour, hire charges of all machineries etc., complete (For new road) - In area of light jungle by Mechanical means.

Filling Pot-holes and Patch Repairs with Bituminous concrete, 40mm thick. Removal of all failed material, trimming of completed excavation to provide firm vertical faces, cleaning of surface, painting of tack coat on the sides and base of excavation as per clause 503, back filling the pot holes with hot bituminous material as per clause 504, compacting, trimming and finishing the surface to form a smooth continuous surface, all as per clause 3004.2, including cost of all materials, all labour, usage charges of machinery, lead, lifts, loading, unloading stacking,transporting etc., complete exepet lead for bitumen & emulsion. Grading II 13mm (Nominal size) I.No10.05 (ii)P.No 137 NH SR 2022-23.

Routine Maintenance of road assets and pavement as given below: (i) Clearing and grubbing road land (ii) Repair of potholes/edge cuts/ruts/ patches (iii) Carrying out cleaning, removing of dust/silt/thrash from carriageway. (iv) Cleaning, clearing and repairing roadside open/unlined/lined/covered drains and cross drainage works (v) maintenance of road signs and delineators For 5.588Km (4lane with divided carriageway without paved shoulder)

Supplying and Fixing of Molded Shank Raised Pavement Markers / Cat's Eye made of polycarbonate and ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face and shall support a load of 16000 kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280 Type H and complying to Specifications of Category A of MORTH Circular No RW/NH/33023/10-97 DO III Dt 11.06. 1997. The height, width and length shall not exceed 50 mm, 100 mm and 102 +/- 2 mm and with minimum reflective area of 13 cm2 on each side and the slope to the base shall be 35 +/- 5 degree. The strength of detachment of the integrated cylindrical shanks, (of diameter not less than 19 +/- 2 mm and height not less than 30+/- 2 mm) from the body is to be a minimum value of 500 Kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside,without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive as per manufacturer's recommendation and complete as directed by the engineer.The contractor shall submit a two year warranty for satisfactory field performance including stipulated retro-reflectance of the reflecting panel, to the Engineer.(P No:74,I No:8.43) PWD SR 2023-24

Supplying & fixing of Solar Raised Pavement Markers made of polycarbonate molded body with circular shape, solar powered, LED self illumination in active mode, 360 degree illumination and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face in passive mode. The marker shall support a load of 20000 kg tested in accordance to ASTM D 4280. The marker should be resistant to dust and water ingress according to IP 65 standards and should withstand tempertures in the range of 0 C to 70 C. Color of lighting could be provided in red or yellow (amber) as per requirement and typicl frequency of blinking is 1 Hz. There should be current losses of less than 20 microamperes at 2.4 V in sleepcharging mode to enhance the life of the marker and a full charge should provide for a minimum autonomy of 50 hours. The height, width and length of the marker shall not be less than 10 mm x 100 mm x 100 mm. Also, the surface diameter of the marker shall not be less than 100 mm respectively. The weight of the marker shall not exceed 0.5 kg. Fixing will be by drilling holes on the road for the shanks to go inside, without nails and using epoxy resin based adhesive and complete as directed by the Engineer(P No:71,I No:8.32) PWD SR 2023-24
