Inspection of Building

Visual Inspection : for surface damages, flaking, local weaknesses, etc and their damage classification the visual inspection shall largely cover areas of high distress, abnormal variations in structure, Visual inspection would be documented in the form of worksheets, photographic records, and distress over drawings/sketches etc

Non Destructive Testing : Non destructive Evaluation of the structural elements by various tests at required location and structural assessment based on these parameters.

Rebound Hammer : For determining the estimated compressive strength of concrete and uniformity of concrete in terms of surface hardness as per IS 1331 (Part-) 1992.

Ultrasonic Pulse Velocity Test for ascertaining the quality of concrete, soundness and density of concrete, uniformity of concrete in terms of density as per IS 1311 (Part-1) 1992, ASTM, C597-83, BS 6809 1981 and BS 1881 : Part 203 and BS EN : 13791

Corrosion monitoring : To measure the risk and rate of corrosion of steel in concrete by Half cell potential of reinforcement to assess the risk of corrosion.

Concrete cover measurement : Measurement of thickness of concrete cover to reinforcement bars by cover meter test.

PH value test : To draw samples of concrete and PH value test (to check alknity of concrete) as per relevant IS 456:2000, BS8110.

Chemical analysis : To draw samples of concrete and carry out chemical analysis of the samples including measurement of chloride content.

Thermal imaging : To capture the details of active moisture spots in the structures and providing output records in the form of thermal images.

Report and Vetting

Preparing and submitting comprehensive report : consisting of findings from visual inspection, test data, interpretation of results, conclusions and final recommendations.

Repairing Methodology and retrofitting scheme : It includes assessment of adequacy of existing structural components and providing retrofitting scheme to strengthen the inadequate structural components including repair methodology and submission of final report. The recommendation for structural repair and rehabilitation to the structures shall have detailed technical specifications materials to be used.

Vetting of scheme from NITS/ITS/Punjab Engg College/Delhi College of Engg or DTU/Thapar College of Engg.
