Removing the existing vegetation growth in the Building by way of uprooting the plants manually and then drilling with power driller up to the root depth of plants obtain a clean and neat drill so as to continuously inspect and remove left over roots of vegetation growths and to inject pesticides into the holes so as to prevent further growth of vegetation in the future to safeguard the country old heritage building etc. The cost including the cost of pesticides used, hire charges of injecting machine for injecting chemicals, cost of tools and all labour charges, etc., complete. The above works should be carried out as per the direction of the departmental officers and complying with standard specification.

Construction of mortar pit of size 0.90x0.45m with necessary earth work excavation of sand filling 15cm thick, PCC 1:5:10, 8cm thick brick partition wall 11.50cm thick to a height of 60cm with plastering 1:5, 12mm thick on both sides etc complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.

Renewing and fixing teakwood panelled shutters openable type for Doors by using well seasoned teakwood of superior quality and approved variety as per the original design and pattern instructed by the Engineer In Charge.The door shutter is made with two number of 120mm x 40mm size vertical styles, toprail, lock rails and bottom rail of size 125mm x 40mm , 250mm x 40mm, 170mm x 40mm respectively.The door shutter panels is covered with teakwood planks of 25mm thick including all necessary fittings brass/ steel hardwares like screws, nails, hinges, hooks, tower bolts, handles, aldrops of same design, size and weight,etc., complete. Item to also include making all the mouldings and design of the panels as in the existing evidence. Item to include complete finishing of the shutters as directed by the departmental officers. (The rate inclusive of cost of all teakwood materials, labour wrought and putup of door frames and shutters , cost of all furniture fittings, labour charges for fixing in position etc., complete complying with standard specifications (two leaves).

Renewing and fixing of glazed ventilator with new Teak wood glazed ventilator of size 1.20m x 0.60m by using Teak wood scanting thickness of size 0.04m frames fixed with 4mm thick pin headed glass including labour for wrought put up and fixing the ventilator in position with necessary furniture fittings including with neat finishing etc., complete complying with standard specifications and as directed by the departmental officers
Making , supplying and fixing of new stone Base for replacing the broken and missing stone capital over the high wall at roof level as per existing clues and style etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Making, supplying and fixing of well seasoned best quality teak wood full length new members like beam , joist etc., in position for roofing portion or any other area , TW frames for doors and windows including making necessary size holes in masonry to recieve the ends of wooden memnbers , all fixtures and fastenings with one coat of primer etc., as directed by the departmental officers. ( Items to include using a larger section of wood to get the mouldings and chamfers as per orginal design , sample to be shown to the Executive Engineer for approval before use on works.)
Grouting and stiching the wide cracks at roof using lime mortar 1:2 with pot pieces for filling up the cracks and the voids, creivices and gap etc.shall be completely sealed with necessary grouting pump. This pressure pump is to be used after cleaning the cracks, washing etc., and then the cracks are grouted with lime mortar 1:2 and it is allowed to be cured till final setting of lime mortar before taking up further leak proof treatment work.
Finishing the top of roof with one course of machine pressed tiles of size 230mm x 230mm x 20mm of approved quality set in Cement Mortar 1:3 (One Cement and Three M.Sand) 12mm thick mixed with water proofing compound conforming to ISS at 2% by weight of cement used and the joints pointed neatly to full depth of tiles with the same cement mortar mixed with red oxide and water proofing compound including curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers
Strengthening the existing walls by providing grouting by formation of holes of size 1" to 2" with required intervals - depth of 20cm depending upon the site conditions and slurry consisting of lime mortar 1:2 ( one lime and two of sand) added with grouting admixture by 2% weight of lime, by using required equipment with standard specification as directed by the departmental officials. the rate include cost of all materials , labour charges etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Racking out the brick joints of walls, arches, etc.,to a depth of approximately 5cm for a wall thickness of 45cm and above to remove the dead mortar in between the brick joints and cleaning the surface with coir brush and washed with pure water etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Replastering ( base plastering) the brick wall, pillars and arches with lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) to a thickness of 30 mm as per existing construction including erection & dismantling , curing etc.,complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Revarnishing with old / new wood work with two coats of best melamine varnish of approved quality and brand including preparation of surface etc., in all floors The rate is inclusive the cost of all material, labour charges and finishing neatly etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Painting wood work with two finishing coats of synthetic enamel ready mixed paint of good quality and approved variety and colour over one coat priming coat in all floors including the cost of priming coat etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The make, quality and colour of paint should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on works.)
Providing pest control with antitermite treatement drilling holes at junction of walls with floors at 300mm intervals and injucting chemical emulsion on those with cement etc. making holes along the vertical surface out side the walls at 150mm intervals to the depth of 450mm pointing chemical emulsion into the holes and closing holes with chemical etc.spraying all surface of treatment is to be done as per IS code no:5313/ Part III 1981 with approved chemical.(The chemical is to be used on the work should be got approved by the Executive Engineer before use on work) etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Laying Brick jelly lime concrete in lime mortar 1:2 ( One lime and two brick jelly ) (no sand to be added) using 20 mm gauge brick jelly for foundation, flooring including dewatering wherever necessary and laid in layers well rammed, consolidated etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Paving the floor with best approved quality fine polished Granite Stone Slabs of size 1200 x 600 of 18 / 20mm thick of Jet Black with machine cut edges laid over a cement mortar bed of 20mm thick using cement mortar 1:3 (One cement and three sand) fixing the slabs with required cement slurry and laid in true right angles with minimum possible width of joints and pointing the joints with white cement mixed with mathcing colouring pigments etc., The granite stone slabs and other materials to be used shall be got approved by the Executive Engineer concerned before use on work, etc., complete as per standard specification.
Painting the wall with two coats of approved weather proof Exterior Emulsion paint over one primer coat of over cement plastered wall surface ect., complete complying with standard specification.
Supplying and fixing galvanum plain sheet roof of 0.47mm thick and steel including priming coat fixing in position with all necessary accessories complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Laying of roofing with Mangalore tiles over flat tiles set in Lime mortar 1:2 ( one of lime and two of sand) using Elayirampannai lime in all floors with flat tiles of size 150mm x 150mm x 12mm including Teak wood reepers of size (50mm x 12mm) complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers. (The rate includes the cost of all materials like Mangalore tiles, flat tiles, and labour charges for laying of Mangalore tiles with flat tiles roof in position)

Applying thin coat of hand grinded lime mortar paste ( mix should be with 1 kg of jaggery , 1 kg of galnut , 30 nos. egg 0.5 kg of vajram , 3 kg of white marble powder 0.5 kg of redoxide and 0.5 kg of yellow oxide for 10 sq.m area ) (Theervai) over the newly plastered surface as per the existing clues (including finishing the surface with smoothness) erection of scaffolding curing etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Clean removal of saline action over the stone pillars, brick wall etc., with paper pulp treatment by using floating paper, deionized water,plastic bucket, coir, brush etc., complete complying with standard specifications as per directed by the departmental officers
Grouting of the masonry cracks by using lime based slurries (slaked lime & fine sand (<1400 microns)) with pozzolonic additives (0.5% polymer fluidiser) including cost of Killick Nixon low pressure grout pump & nipples (inserting nozzles and low pressure pumping to consolidate the walls) complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Stitching of cracks using stone lintels (1200x600x16 to 18mm) for the cracks in the masonry walls as specified including making groove, cutting and inserting stone slab, packing with mortar and making good the masonry work etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Stitching of cracks using 12mm dia. and 2’ long SS‐rods . The rods should be applied with a layer of anti‐corrosive paint, the ends of the rod to be bent at 6’’ each then to be inserted into the masonry after drilling a hole and making a 1/2" groove in the masonry, packing with lime mortar and making good the masonry etc., complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers.
Painting Bitumen Coat (Japan Black) for wood works with two coats with over cleaned wooden members surface like Beam, Rafters, Planks wherever the embeded in masonry walls, to avoid termite attack and fungus formation.The rate inclusive of cost of materials and labour charges but excluding high scaffolding charages etc complete complying with standard specification and as directed by the departmental officers
