Grouting and crack repairs for Concrete structures at MAPS 1 and 2, Kalpakkam

Providing and injecting approved grout of single component high grade, low viscosity polyurethane(PU) injection foam resin with accelerator dosage in proportion recommended by the manufacturer of SIKA/BASF/FOSROC/Bostic India/STP into cracks/honey-comb area of concrete/masonry by suitable gun/pump at required pressure including fixing of nozzles (8-12mm dia, 40 to 100mm long), cutting of nipples after curing and dry packing/sealing the drilled hole with required material to arrest seepage of water including plugging and sealing the nozzle after injection operation is over and finishing by removing the nozzle etc. complete as per directions of Engineer-in- Charge. Note: 1. Prior approval of Engineer-in-charge shall be obtained for use of grout material. Quantity shall be considered for payment shall be PU grout material only.(Ref: FOSROC Nitofill PU 11R) 2. The payment shall be made on the basis of actual weight of approved grout injected. Rate including erection of scaffolding & working platform upto 3m height. Any additional scaffolding required for height more than 3m shall be paid relevant item.

Supply and injection of low viscosity high strength Epoxy grout of approved material SIKA/BASF/FOSROC/Bostic India/STP under pressure by pump through the nozzle by drilling holes by machine, cleaning the same, surface preparation including providing and fixing of required type nozzles (8-12mm dia, 40 to 100mm long) with stop cock, dry packing the drilled hole with required material to arrest seepage of water including plugging and sealing the nozzle after injection operation is over and finishing by removing the nozzle at various heights and locations including all tools tackles, scaffolding/staging/lifting arrangement erection/dismantling & removing the nozzles after use, finishing for making good surfaces, cleaning the area of work, disposing the debris at proper location, etc., complete as per manufacturer's specification and Technical specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: Prior approval of Engineer-in-charge shall be obtained for use of grout material. Rate including erection of scaffolding & working platform upto 3m height. Any additional scaffolding required for height more than 3m shall be paid relevant item.

Repairing the cracks by making V-grooves on crack areas and construction joints of size upto max. 25mm width by mechanical grinder/chiseling, cleaning the groove and dry packing the same with 1:1 cement-sand mortar admixed with approved waterproofing compound crack filling materials of SIKA/BASF/FOSROC/ Bostic India/STP as per manufacturers specifications including material, labour, tools & tackles, surface preparation, curing to prevent /stop the leakage path and finishing the same including erection and shifting of scaffolding/staging/suitable lifting arrangement at various locations and heights, including cleaning the area after work, disposing the debris at desired locations, etc.,. Rate including erection of scaffolding & working platform upto 3m height. Any additional scaffolding required for height more than 3m shall be paid relevant item.

Supplying and applying of Polysulphide sealant/caulking compound for filling expansion joints/construction joints of approved material in existing grooves, over roof/side walls etc., at all elevations including cleaning and preparation of surface by removing of all loose materials by wire brushing and cleaning the entire surface to remove fungi growth, dust/dirt, etc.,. if any including removing the visible loose material by pulling and applying poly sulphide sealant in paste like constency uniformly of approx. 8-10mm thick complete all as per specifications and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Note: Contractor shall submit the Manufacturer test certificate while supply of material. Rate including erection of making scaffolding & working platform upto 3m height. Any additional scaffolding required for height more than 3m shall be paid relevant item.

Supplying and fixing of existing 20 gauge GI sheet covers to expansion joint gap area with 8mm SS screws @ 300mm c/c spacing including proper lapping and fitting of GI sheet and providing thermocol for applying caulking compound complete as per specification and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.Rate including erection of making scaffolding & working platform upto 3m height. Any additional scaffolding required for height more than 3m shall be paid relevant item.

Providing Double Scaffolding (width up to 1.20m) including material hire charges using MS H-Frames, MS pipes, clamps etc as per requirement including required labour, tools and removing the same after completion of works etc complete as per drawings and specifications. (Area in elevation shall be measured for payment). If any of the activity mentioned in above items needs scaffolding for making working platform more than 3m height, actual addional height above 3m shall be paid in this item. First 3m height from base plate to first 3m shall not be paid. Top height shall be measureed upto working platform.
