Excavation for roadwork in soil by mechanical means including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections, and disposal within all lead and lift as per technical clause 301 of MORT&H specifications.

Providing & laying 200mm thick Granular Sub-Base with Coarse Graded Material - Grading-I (Table:- 400-2) Construction of granular sub-base by providing coarse graded material, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on prepared surface, mixing by mix in place method with Rotavator at OMC, and compacting with vibratory roller to achieve the desired density, complete as per clause 401.of MORT&H specifications. Grading I material Note: - 1.Only crushed metal material should be used. No local earth sand shall be used. The material finer than 425 micron shall have zero Plasticity Index (PI). 2. Materials to be used and operations of manufacturing shall be approved by the engineer.

Construction of 150mm dry lean cement concrete Sub- base over a prepared sub-grade with coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS: 383, the size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, aggregate cement ratio not to exceed 15:1, aggregate gradation after blending to be as per table 600-1, cement content not to be less than 150 kg/ cum, optimum moisture content to be determined during trial length construction, concrete strength not to be less than 10 Mpa at 7 days, mixed in a batching plant, transported to site, laid with a paver with electronic sensor, compacting with 8-10 tonnes vibratory roller, finishing and curing, as per clause 601 of MORT&H specifications. Note:-Minimum cement content for this item will be 150kg. per cum of concrete as per approved job mix formula. If the cement content is more than 150kg/cum, then the extra cement will be incidental to work and nothing shall be payable on this account.

Construction of 300mm un-reinforced M-40 grade concrete pavement with dowel jointed, over a prepared sub base with 43 grade OPC cement concrete coarse and fine aggregate conforming to IS 383, maximum size of coarse aggregate not exceeding 25 mm, mixed in a fully computerised batching and mixing plant as per approved mix design, transported to site in transit mixer with a fixed form or slip form paver, spread, compacted and finished in a continuous operation including provision of contraction, expansion, construction and longitudinal joints, joint filler, separation membrane, sealant primer, joint sealant, debonding strip, dowel bar, tie rod, admixtures as approved, curing compound, finishing to lines and grades as per drawing, complete as per clause 602 of MORT&H specifications. (Minimum content of cement 440kg/cum). Note: Minimum cement content for this item will be 440kg. per cum of concrete as per approved job mix formula. If the cement content is more than 440kg/cum, then the extra cement will be incidental to work and nothing shall be payable on this account.

Providing and Laying 80 mm thick ISI marked Interlocking Paver Blocks conforming to IS 15658:2006/IRC SP 63: 2004 of all shapes and colours in design mix cement M 40 over the bed of 30 mm thick fine sand complete in all respect.

Construction of Embankment (for berms) with approved material obtained from borrow pits, including compensation of earth, with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of table 300-2, as per technical clause 305 of MORT&H specifications Note:-No earth work will be allowed to be taken from PWD B&R/ ROW except for surplus earth after approval from Engineer

Supplying and fixing of single mould twin shank reflective road studs (cat eyes) made out of poly carbonate/ABS moulded body and reflective panels with micro prismatic lens capable of providing total internal reflection of the light entering the lens face with retro reflectance and chromaticity values@ ASTM E 809 & ASTM D 4280. The detailed specifications and the product shall conform to ASTM D4280 and ASTM E 809. The raised pavement marker shall also meet all the testing conditions of ASTM D4280 like abrasion resistance and fixed to the road surface using the epoxy adhesive. Two cylindrical polymer shanks of not less than 20 mm diameter and not less than 30 mm length shall be moulded in the RPM body. The marker shall support a load of 13635 Kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280. The marker shall withstand flexural strength of 909 kgf force in accordance with ASTM D4280. Marker lenses shall be moulded of Polycarbonate or methyl Methacrylate conforming to ASTM D788. The supplier shall provide a 2 years warranty for satisfactory field performance as per clause804.7.3 of MORT&H 5th revision specifications

Recovery items: The rates quoted against recovery items will not be included in the total amount rather it will be deducted while calculating financial statement of the agency. Material obtained from dismantling of existing brick work, bituminous layer have been calculated taking assumption that 80% of theoretical material will be retrieved. The dismantled material can used in any of the item for the work after modification (bringing it to required specifications) after approval from employer. In case it is not possible to use this material on the work, the agency can take away this material. This material can be taken away by the agency at the price quoted by the agency but minimum price to be quoted is limited to reserve price as fixed and mentioned as under :- Bituminous mix material @ Rs. 1928/- P.Cum.

Note: All quantities of the above materials have been worked out on the basis of theoretical quantities laid on this road. However, agency may visit site before quoting rates and assess the extent of retrieved material. There shall be no measurement after actual scarifying and if material after scarifying is found on lesser side, no claim of agency on this score will be entertained and full recovery on the basis of quoted rate and quantity exhibited in the BOQ shall be made. The reserve rates are minimum rates to be used as base for quoting purchase rate by the agency. No rates below the reserve price will be entertained and reserve price will be considered for all purposes in case the agency quotes lesser than reserve price. Note:- In case of any difference in the unit & nomenclature of any of the HSR items/MORT&H items depicted in this DNIT and that given in HSR/MORT&H. The unit and nomenclature given in HSR/MORT&H shall be applicable.
