REPAIR/MAINT OF CERTAIN ROADS IN SMQ/OUTSIDE POCKET AREA UNDER GE (AF) ADM AREA AT AF STN GWALIOR

M & L for preparing existing black top surfaces by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud etc, sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dirt etc, complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for Repair to potholes any depth, not exc 1 Sqm each including sweeping free from dust and mud or water scoring sunken surfaces in roads, paths, etc. cutting around edges to at least 25mm in depth, making good by filling in screened & graded road metal, watering and well ramming (including supply of road metal) complete all as specified and directed.

Scarifying or picking gravelled, macadam or bituminous macadam surface exc 50mm and n exc 100mm deep in area not exc 400 sqm using milling machine or mechanical equipments incl removal from site at a distance exc 500 mtr but not exc 1000 m complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for laying & compacting 150 mm thick (compacted thickness) Granular Sub Base Course (GSB) grading as per Gra de I as specified Table 400-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, In a single layer over compacted subgrade with naturaI sand, crushed gravel, crushed stone, crushed slag or combination thereof as per the grading required. The matenals are mechanically mixed, spread and leveling on the subgrade by using motor grader of adequate capacity, and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity BO-100 KN static weight for ach1eving required compaction density of atleast 98% of the Maximum Dry Density. Consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed with finished surface tolerances as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works, 2013, complete all as specified and as directed.

M& L for Laying and compacting 75 mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) grading as per table 400-13 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013 manufactured in WMM plant material comprising of clean. crushed, graded aggregate and granular material premixed with water to a dense mass, spreading with sensor paver and rolling with vibratory roller of capacity 80-1OOKN static weight and consolidating to required gradient and camber complete all as specified and directed The finished surface tolerances to be as per Table 900-1 of MoRTH specifications for Road and Bridge works 2013" , complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat using approved grade Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) @ 3.0 Kg per 10 Sqm conforming to IS:8887 and MoRTH Specifications, on the prepared bituminous/granular surface, cleaned and made free from dust, dirt and loose materials, using mechanical pressure sprayer including heating, stirring and spraying uniformly at specified rate complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for applying evenly a tack coat using approved grade Cationic Bitumen Emulsion (RS-1) @ 10.0 Kg per 10 Sqm conforming to IS:8887 and MoRTH Specifications, on the prepared bituminous/granular surface, cleaned and made free from dust, dirt and loose materials, using mechanical pressure sprayer including heating, stirring and spraying uniformly at specified rate complete as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

M&L for premix bituminous macadam not exc 75mm consolidated thickness or less using binder content 4% by weight of total mix (using paving bitumen VG -30 grade) including cement filler, mix in hot mix plant using design mix and laid and rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (a) Bituminous macadam shall be mixed in hot plant transported from plant to work site and laid/spread by means of mechanical paver. (b) Contractor shall quote his rate on this basis of binder as mentioned in above item if there is any variation in the actual binder content used in lower side, the rate shall be adjusted however no price adjustment shall be made if the binder content works out to more than as specified in Sch 'A'

M&L for bituminous premix semi dence asphaltic dence concrete 30mm thick consolidated thick with 5.5% binder content by weight of total mix rolled and compacted to required camber and gradient with 8 to 10 tonne power road roller complete all as specified and directed. Note:- (a) Bituminous macadam shall be mixed in hot plant transported from plant to work site and laid/spread by means of mechanical paver. (b) Contractor shall quote his rate on this basis of binder as mentioned in above item if there is any variation in the actual binder content used in lower side, the rate shall be adjusted however no price adjustment shall be made if the binder content works out to more than as specified in Sch 'A'

M&L for preparation of newly bituminous surfaces, removing, dust, dirt grease and other foreign matters etc to receive the marking and applying thermo-plastic (Reflective) line marking of 2.5 mm thick centre lines, stop lines, dashes, arrows etc. and the like n.exc 10cm wide on roads pavements with hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint of approved colour confirming to BS 3262-1989 with special applicator machine all as per manufacturers instruction complete all as specified and directed.
