| 10.001 | "Laying of Owner-supplied pre-coated mild steel line pipes, including arranging all additional land/construction corridor, beyond Ow ner's ROU/ROW, required for Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction site, movement of construction equipment etc. , receiving and taking over Owner-supplied materials, handling, transportation etc. from Owner's issue point to work site, stringing along Right of Way (ROW)/ pipeline corridor, providing labour, equipment and supply of other inputs & materials/ consumables neces sary to perform and complete the work in all respects in accordance with the contract including, but not limited to, the following w orks:- - Taking delivery of pre-coated/ bare pipes from the designated stockpile location (loading of pipes onto pipe trailors placed insid e stockpile by mainline contractor shall be done by Owner's authorized agency), including placing of pipe trailors for taking delive ry of pipes from designated stockpile, carrying out holiday detection and verification of pipes at the time of taking delivery), tra nsportation of pipes to ROW/ work site/ Contractor's storage location etc., - Clearing and grading of ROW/ pipeline corridor, cutting of trees, vegetation etc. including keeping record of trees cut, including de-watering etc., - Stringing of pipes along ROW including providing straw bags/ soft padding below pipe (in Rocky areas requiring blasting for prepar ation of trench, pipes shall be strung after the blasting operation and clearing of trench as per instructions of Site Engineer/ Eng ineer-in-Charge), - Trenching to all depths to maintain clear earth cover as per specification and to fit minimum bend radius, by excavation in all ki nds of terrain & soil, including stripping top soil to a depth of 30cm to the full anticipated width of the ditch and storing this m aterial separately along the ROW to allow re-depositing of the same on top of the backfilled ditch (in cultivable and other areas sp ecially designated by Owner), - Carrying out repair of pipe & coating defects for defects occurring after ""taking over"" of pipes from Owner, replacement in the case of non-repairable defects and repairing damages to pipe coating including defects/ damages occurring during transportation & ha ndling, - Aligning, bending, lining up, cutting and beveling (as required) of pipes for field adjustments, welding (manual / semi-automatic / automatic), physical inspection of all weld joints by qualified welding engineer/ inspector & carrying out repair of weld-joints f ound defective, -Carrying out 100% radiographic inspection (by X-Ray) of all field weld joints, destructive testing of one weld joint in each Spread as per specification and direction of Site Engineer, including providing Crawler type Automatic X-Ray machine and external X-Ray ma chine and all other requisite equipment, labour, supervision, materials, approved films, approved consumables, all facilities and pe rsonnel to process, develop, examine and interpret radiographs (by qualified and experienced Radiography Inspector), providing all f acilities to Owner's representative(s) for examining radiographs and other tests as required, carrying out repair of weld-joints fou nd defective, carrying out re-radiography and other tests as required on repaired joints, etc., ..... | 10.003 | "INSTALLATION OF CARRIER PIPE BY OPEN TRENCH METHOD (ALL KINDS OF SOIL) Receiving and taking-over as defined in the specifications, handling, loading, transportation and unloading of Owner supplied 3 - Layer PE coated line pipes & valves (4"" & above) from Owner designated stock-yard to Contractor's own stock yards / workshops / work-sites including preliminary activities, preparation of draw ings and calculation, wherever required for crossings etc. including handling, stacking, stringing on the pipeline Right-of-Use / pi peline route alignment, carrying out inspection of company supplied materials including line pipes at the time of taking over, layin g / installation of coated line pipe, associated fittings and accessories, including executing all works, ""taking over"", handling, including loading and unloading, transportation of Owner supplied materials other than line pipe from Owner's designated place(s) o f issue to work site, arrangement of all additional lands required for Contractor's storage, fabrication, access for construction, p rocurement and supply of all materials (except Owner supplied materials), consumables, equipment, labor and other inputs, carrying o ut all temporary, ancillary, auxiliary works, ready for commissioning of pipeline as per drawings, Specifications, calculation & oth er provisions of Contract document and instruction of Owner/ Owner’s Representative, including but not limited to carrying out the following works: a) Surveying of Routes & detours required at the time of construction including marking the same in topographical sheet, preparati on of AFC drawings showing survey details and submit same to Owner/ Owner’s Representative for review. b) Staking and installation of construction markers, clearing, fencing, grubbing, cutting of trees, fulfilling all the requirements of various statutory / environment authorities to the entire satisfaction of concerned authorities, grading of work area, Shifting o f all obstruction within the ROU/ pipeline route alignment viz electrical lines/ poles, telephone lines/ poles, co-ordination with c oncerned authorities and obtain permissions from these authorities. c) Trenching to all depths & width to accomodate the pipeline and/or OFC/HDPE duct by excavation in all types of soils including sof t/ hard rock, chiseling or otherwise cutting different types of pavement, footpath, roads etc. As required provide the Hard barricad ing, storing excavated soil and remove/ shift excess soil from congested area, transportation of reusable materials at designated ar ea as directed by Owner/ Owner’s Representative and to a width to accommodate the pipeline as per relevant standard/ specifications etc. (The minimum depth of the top of pipeline shall be 1.2 M or more from the finish of the stabilized grade level). Ultrasonic testing of golden joints. f) Carrying out installation of carrier pipe at all crossings like roads/ nallas/ marshy area (Laying of Concrete Coated Pipes) etc. at designated depths by open cut (except at cased crossings or crossings carried out by HDD method). g) Carrying out installation of carrier pipe in the casing pipe at cased crossings (excluding installation of casing pipes which is covered separately with or without bundle pulling). h) Supply & Installation of 10mm thick Neoprane Sheet as per standard drawing at foreign pipeline crossing, Underground EHV power c able (≥ 66 KV) crossing and HT power cable crossing locations. i) Coating of field weld joints, long radius bends, buried fittings & valves etc. including supply of coating materials duly approve d by owner etc as per specification. j) Counting the number and type of trees, cut in presence of DFO/ concerned authorities and keeping record thereof; stacking and han ding over of all cut trees. k) Installation/ lowering the pipeline in trench to required depth, supply & installation of 1.0 mm thickness HDPE yellow color warn ing mat over the pipeline along the complete route, padding around pipeline with suitable approved soil including supply of padding material, backfilling with available/ borrowed earth, approved excavated material and/ or other suitable soil by crowning. Compactio n with jumping jack compactor and water at subsequent layers of 150mm or as directed by Owner/ Owner’s Representative. All tiles / s labs/ curb stones etc. removed during excavation shall be placed properly. Roads, pavements, footpaths, etc. to be made motorable wh erever pipeline is laid. l) Supply and Installation of slope breakers, bank protection wherever required and as directed by Owner / Owner's Representative. m) Taking of DGPS co-ordinate of all field joints, Refrence Points with Landmarks & inform to Owner in the approved format. | 10.005 | "n) Carrying out air cleaning, pigging, flushing, cleaning and hydrostatic testing of complete pipeline with quantity of corrosion i nhibitor including pre-testing of designated sections complete as per specification and approved by Owner/ Owner’s Representative to specified pressures indicated elsewhere and duration after stabilization as per specification, providing all equipment, pumps, fitt ings, instruments, dead weight tester, pressure recorder, thermocouples etc., and services, supervision, labor, consumables, water i ncluding supply of corrosion inhibitor, air, etc. as required, locating of leaks and rectification of defects, re-testing after rect ification, dewatering after successful completion of hydrotesting of entire section and as approved by Owner/ Owner’s Representative . o) All tie-in, including the tie-ins with adjacent section of the pipeline. p) Protective coating of 450 micron thick two component epoxy / polyurethane (applied with the help of minimum three coats) includi ng supply of materials duly approved by owner for all piping, Valves, fittings, structural steels etc. for buried installation and i nside the valve pit. q) Final clean-up and restoration of Right-of-Use and disposal of debris and surplus material to designated disposal areas and re-in stating the area to its earlier state and as directed by Owner/ Owner’s Representative. r) Precommissioning activities like swabbing, drying of the complete pipeline network and the associated facilities being installed to the specified acceptance criteria as per Owner/ Owner's Representative. s) Maintaining the completed pipelines/ installation for any defect, failures during defect liability period (i.e. 12 months from da te of commissioning of Pipeline). t) Ensuring proper safety as per codes & standard practices during construction, cordoning off the work area, providing warning sign s, barricading and proper tools & tackles, Equipping the workers with safety boots, helmets and fluorescent aprons & barricading as per enclosed drawings. The barricading is to be done throughout along the trench/ welding string. u) Any other activities not mentioned/ covered explicitly above, but otherwise required for satisfactory completion/ operation/ safe ty/ statutory/ maintenance of the works shall also be covered under the scope of work and has to be completed by the Contractor with in specified time schedule at no extra cost to owner. The pipeline laying shall be done as per specification, code & standard & guid eline by Owner/ Owner’s Representative. v) Preparation of As-built drawings, pipe-books (1 set of tracing on polyester film and 3 sets of As-built drawings and 1 soft copy and 6 copies of pipe book) All the works shall be executed in accordance with the provision of contract including carrying out all t emporary/ ancillary/ auxiliary works required of the performance of the works and all other acts, deeds, matters and things necessar y to make the pipeline ready for pipe commissioning activities." | - | - | - | - | Item 10.40 |
