Construction of 125 mm dia Machine Drilled Hand pump Wells in Kulgam

Drilling of the hand pump well with air rotary drilling rig unit suitable for lowering MS Casing of 125mm dia. in suitably drilled bore hole as per specifications laid down in IS 2800(Part- I).1991 with up to date amendments. The job is to be done in all kinds of soils, boulders, rock collapsible strata, saturated soils ,artisan conditions by ODEX/DTH attachments including the cost of all consumables, like fuel, lubricants and other accessories complete in all respects whole in consolidated/ semi consolidated/boulder formation up to desired depth. The job includes the cost of lowering of casing assembly and its subsequent welding after every ten feet to be lowered up to the drilled/desired depth. The casing is to be slotted as per the site requirement and the job of slotting shall be the supervised by the concerned Junior engineer. The casing pipe will be provided departmentally from the stores only. The rate quoted shall include loading of material from divisional store. The job includes following activities and the items.  Collection of Soil samples in a sample box having a top Lid /locking system to demo the samples as and when required during execution.  Power supply arrangement required during drilling etc.  P/F of Well cap as per IS Code 2800 with latest/up to date amendments till the hand pump is installed at site as per the availability of the stores  Recording the strata details in the Drilling Job Card as given in the tender Document.  Development of tube well with back wash method with air compressor of minimum capacity 1000CFM (300 PSI air delivery system) with Suitable arrangements till well is thoroughly in all respects as per the direction of in charge Engineer.

Installation testing and commissioning of departmentally provided hand pumps assembly comprising of cylinder, Head, handle assembly, front cover, Handle- Axle, washers bolts, risers & the Connecting rods. The minimum submergence of the cylinder shall not be less than 30 ft. and the number of connecting rods and the risers shall depend on the drilling depth of the well and the SWL of the well.

Providing and Laying of Circular cement concrete block of 1.5m dia and 0.3m (I ft.) deep in a mix of 1:3:6. to give the adequate strength to act as a sanitary block for the well and to grout the hand pump assembly in order to make it robust to resist shock load observed while pumping. In case the suitable space for the above specification is not available, the surface area is to be adjusted according. The block comprises of a mud mat of 4 inch height and then laying of 8 inch cement concrete with suitable drainage. The block should have aesthetically good appearance.
