RESTORATION, PRESERVATION, AND CONSERVATION OF PUNJAB LEGISLATIVE ASSEMBLY HALL BUILDING (UNESC WORLD HERITAGE), CAPITOL COMPLEX, SECTOR-1, CHANDIGARH.

Careful dismantling, packing & shifting of existing furniture of Heritage nature, including removal of nuts - bolts in bubble wrap, plastic sheeting with masking tape and duct tape to ensure absolutely no damage to the furniture, including rexin, during the site works. The nuts / bolts etc. shall be carefully stored as the same is to used for refixing. Item to include careful removal of the packing and placing the furniture back on site after polishing of the furniture element all complete in all respects and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. NS

Careful removal and packing of the exisitng carpets in a careful manner, in appropriate sizes, using plastic sheets with maksing tape / duct tape. The carpets shall be stacked at a designated place in the Assembly building for further disposal, complete in all respects and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. NS

Plaster of Paris covering of 20mm thickness over the floor area with a bottom layer of high density plastic sheet & 4 mm commercial ply ISI marked over existing flooring to ensure that scaffolding/ movement of machine do not damage the historic flooring. The item also includes the charges for removal of ply, plastic sheet, plaster of paris and disposal of the PoP to the dumping yard outisde the building complete in all respects and to the entire satisfaction of the Architect and Engineer in charge. NS

Providing and fixing double scaffolding system (cup lock type) on the interior of the building / structure, upto 40 metre height, above ground level, including additional rows of scaffolding in stepped manner as per requirement of site, made with 40mm dia M.S. tube, placed 1.5 metre centre to centre, horizontal & vertical tubes joint with cup & lock system with M.S. Tubes, M.S. tube challis, M.S. clamps and staircase system in the scaffolding for working platform etc. and maintaining it in a serviceable condition for execution of work of cleaning and painting or applying chemical and removing it thereafter. The scaffolding shall be provided with 12mm thick ply for usage as working platform, in order to avoid spillage of painting material to the floor. Additional bracing shall be provided as per site requirement to make the scaffolding arrangement stable for exectuion of work. The scaffolding system shall be stiffened with bracings, runners, connecting with the building etc, wherever required, if feasible, for inspection of work at required locations with essential safety features for the workmen etc., complete as per directions and approval of Engineer-in-charge. DSR 24.2 Note :- (1) The elevational area of the scaffolding shall be measured for payment purpose. (2) The payment will be made once only for execution of all items for such works.

Painting two or more coats excluding priming coat with specail quality synthetic enamel paint in all shades on new wood work or metallic or plastered or concrete surface to give an even shade complete in all respects and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. All the stains shall be removed from the floor, doors windows etc. and in case of any damage to the flooring/furniture, the same shall be got restored by the agency at his own cost. The work shall be carried out inside the Punjab Assembly hall as the walls and other area, using the existing scaffolding. The painting work shall be carried out at height upto 38 meter inside the Punjab Asssembly hall. The workers shall use all the safety measures like safety belts, helmets, etc. during the execution of work. The work shall be carried out complete in all respect and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. N.S

Providing and applying spirit polish on venner/wood work. The work shall include sand papering of the surface followed by filling with sealer (mixed with selaer thinner) and lakh dana followed by sand papering. This is further followed by 2 layers of spirit polish (mixed with thinner). The polished surface area of the furniture element shall be measured for payment purpose, complete in all respect and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. NS

Providing and laying industrail heavy duty nylon carpet (powerloom)by means of pasting with approved recommended adhesive after cleaning the base surface properly having plain wall to wall commercial grade, suitable and approved to be used in an extreme traffic area, as per the existing color patterns with the following specifications : minimumpile weight of 1000 gm/sqm (or 25.58Oz/yd2) minimum machine guage 1/12" minimum total height of 6.5mm-8.00mm (+/- 0.5mm), minimum tuft density of 302720 per sqm or more, rating of class 33 as per EN1307 or equivalent, fire resistance 8/8-ASTM E-648 Radient Panel Test or equivalent, minimum impact noise rating value of ΔLw 23dB as per ISO 140-8 or equivalent castor chair use rating A - EN985 or DIN 54324 R≥2.4 or equivalent The carpet shall be provided with underlay synthetic foam of 8mm thick. The product shall have ISO 9001 quality certificate.  The carpet shall be provided in various colors like Yellow, Red, Green, etc. as per the existing color shade of carpet, wherein Yellow color is most prominent, complete in all respects and to the entire satisfaction of the Engineer in charge. Note: The carpet shall Non China product, for which a certificate shall be submitted by the agency that the carpet is not manufactures in China. The prodcut shall have ISO 9001 certification for which certificate shall be submitted.
