Conduct of Total station surveying including mobilisation of Survey equipment, men and materials to site, local transportation to site, conduct of open traverse survey along the nallah and adjacent land to a width of about 10m on both sides of nallah, providing levels at cross sections at 10m interval and closer intervals at curves, taking levels at the bed of nallah where water stagnation is available, plotting to convenient scale and furnishing 04 sets of AutoCAD drawings complete. As per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. (The bushes and plants in the nalah and side banks shall be cleared by the department) Length of Nallah considered=600m Average width of NaIah=50m Side Offsets both sides 10m each=20m Overall width=50+20=70m Area Considered=600x70=42,000Sqm

Preparation of cross sections at 10m or suitable interval along the route of nallah, proposing proper river training works by adopting proper side slopes, and proposing regular geometry to maximise the flow and storage of water, computation of volume of earthwork in excavation and banking, computation of storage volume of water for both the weir locations, providing 04 sets of AutoCAD drawings and computational sheets in hard and soft copies complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.

Conduct of hydrographic survey, wherever stagnant pond like situation encountered in the nalah, to assess the storage volume of water, including marking with wooden pegs/ballies on opposite sides of the shore line to establish baseline @ 5.00 m interval, ranging the pegs at opposite banks/shores and tying ropes to establish straight line over the water surface, rowing along the lie line (rope) with fibre boat or any similar floating device, and measuring the water depth @ 5.00m interval on the tie line with the help of calibrated rope and weight. Every successive tie line/rope shall be measured in this way. Computing the RL of various points below the water surface (ground points) with reference to establish bench mark, preparing contours and volumes etc. Complete as per the direction of Engineer-in-charge. Total station shall be used to transfer the RL from nearest BM to the site, in order to relate the levels.
