LDT Work

Carrying out all activities required for identification, localization, excavation, exposure, and confirmation of major/minor leaks or bursts detected during Lock Pressure Testing (LPT) of MDPE pipeline networks. Conduct leak survey of commissioned MDPE mains and service lines. Perform route walking and leak detection using calibrated gas detectors. Carry out bar-hole testing to localize suspected leaks. Mark leak locations and provide GPS coordinates. Excavate at suspected leak locations to expose pipelines, joints, fittings, and valves. cutting and removal of defective pipe sections/fittings, pre-testing and installation of replacement pipe/fittings, repair of defective sections, jointing activities Verify leaks on exposed pipeline/fittings using approved methods. Backfill and reinstate excavated areas after completion of testing. Prepare leak register, photographs, and leak detection reports. Carry out re-testing after leak rectification and submit leak-free certification

The contractor shall provide all necessary manpower, supervision, tools, tackles, testing equipment, machinery, consumables, transportation, safety arrangements, and all other inputs required for successful execution of the work, excluding owner-supplied materials. The work shall be carried out in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, HSE requirements, contract conditions, and the directions of the Engineer-in-Charge.

LPT Work

Survey and identify the pipeline section for testing. Isolate the designated MDPE network section. Install calibrated pressure gauges/data loggers. Conduct lock pressure test as per company procedure. Monitor and record pressure readings during the test period. Identify sections showing pressure drop. Prepare and submit LPT reports and test records. Restore the network to normal operating condition after testing.
