Bridge work
SH:-I FOUNDATION
Item No. 1.1 Conducting and reporting investigation on all kinds of soil by boring hole of required depth by using shell and auger equipment including standard penetration test, collection of undisturbed soil samples at every identifiable change of strata, Conducting laboratory tests on soil samples to decide necessary shear strength parameters of soil as well as compression index and coefficient of consolidation. These tests include natural moisture content, bulk and dry density, liquid and plastic limits, particle size distribution, and specific gravity, unconfined compression tests, tri-axial shear tests and consolidation tests on specimen from collected undisturbed soil samples and particle size distribution, liquid limit, plastic limit etc. on specimen from collected disturbed soil samples. Conducting chemical analysis of subsoil water samples for evaluation of pH value, sulphate content, calcium content, chloride content and total dissolved solids in water for each borehole including preparation & submission of soil investigation report, giving complete comprehensive record of field and laboratory investigations and interpretation in soft and hard copy all complete as per SP002, as per MORTH Technical Specification-1102, 2403, 2404, 2405 and as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge. a) Up to 40 m for pile foundations, open footing etc.
Item No. 1.2 Boring, providing and installing cast-in-situ bored vertical piles with M35 grade reinforced cement concrete using Portland Pozollona Cement (conforming to strength requirements of IS:1489, 4031, 4032 ) including providing corrosion inhibiting admixture @ 3 kg per cum of concrete, all complete as per the drawing and Section 1100 & 1700 of MORTH specifications for Road Bridge Work and IRC:78-2014 at all locations as directed by Engineer-in-charge. The rates shall be inclusive of providing, fabricating and installing 8mm (Min or as per design) thick mild steel temporary liner wherever required or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. In case permanent liner is required as per design/drawings at some location, the same shall be paid as per item no. 1.3. Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately as per item 5.1. (a) 1200 mm Dia.
Item No. 1.3 Extra for providing Permanent Liner of thickness as per design requirement (Minimum: 8 mm thick) mild steel plate in place of temporary liner for piles as per site requirement or as directed by Engineer-in-charge. The rates shall be inclusive of fabricating, providing and driving the liner in position.
Item No. 1.4 Providing and laying M15 grade levelling course Plain Cement Concrete under Pile Caps, Open Foundations, tie beams and any other foundation/ locations etc.using Portland Pozzolona Cement (conforming to strength requirement of IS:1489, 4031, 4032) including the cost of centering and shuttering with all leads, lifts and depths all complete as per approved drawings and as directed by Engineer-in-charge.
Item No. 1.5 Providing and laying Design Mix Reinforced Cement Concrete in Bottam slab, Pile Caps, Open Foundations, tie beams and any other foundation etc. in M35 grade of concrete using Portland Pozzolona Cement (confirming to strength requirement of IS:1489, 4031, 4032) including providing corrosion inhibiting admixture @ 3 kg per cum of concrete, including the cost of centering and shuttering, but excluding the cost of reinforcement & PCC levelling course, with all leads, lifts and depths all complete as per approved drawings and as directed by Engineer-in-charge. Item to include fixing of all type of structural inserts as per drawing and specifications. Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately as per item 5.1.
SH:-II SUBSTRUCTURE
Item No. 2.1 Providing and laying machine batched, machine mixed and machine vibrated design mix reinforced concrete for construction of Vertical wall ,Wing wall ,Drop wall, Curtain wall , Haunch, Piers, pier caps, abutments, abutment caps, shear key, bearing pedestals, dirt wall, Portal frame, seismic arrestors etc. using Ordinary Portland Cement (conforming to strength requirement of IS:8112) as per approved drawings supplied by the Engineer-in-charge including all types of shuttering, staging, scaffolding, necessary tools, plants, machinery and all related operations as required to complete the work with all leads, lifts, and depths true to level and position all complete but excluding the cost of reinforcement. Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately and paid separately as per item 5.1. (a) M45 Grade Reinforced Cement Concrete
Item No. 2.2 Providing and applying approved quality 2 coats of polyamide cured epoxy coating to un-plastered concrete surface after cleaning the surface of dirt, dust, oil, grease, efflorescence and applying paint @ of 1 litre for 2 sqm. for piers / abutments in the drain/river portions till HFL level and pier / abutment portions embedded in ground all complete including all scaffolding, testing of materials etc necessary tools, plants, machinery and all related operations as required to complete the work as per drawings, specifications and directions of Engineer- in-Charge with all leads, lifts and depths.
Item No. 2.3 Providing and painting with approved quality 2 or more coats of anti-carbonation paint as per the direction of Engineer-in-Charge over un-plastered concrete surface of piers and superstructures after cleaning and removing dirt, dust, oil, grease, efflorescence to obtain an even surface and applying paint @ of 1 litre for 2.25 sqm. (150 micron thickness) including all scaffolding, testing of materials etc necessary tools, plants, machinery with all leads, lifts and depths and all related operations as required to complete the work as per drawings, specifications and directions of Engineer-in-Charge.
SH:-III BEARINGS AND EXPANSION JOINTS
Item No. 3.1 Providing, fitting and fixing in position true in line and level laminated elastomeric bearings (conforming to IRC: 83 (Part-II) section IX and clause 2005 of MORTH specifications) on pedestals from pier cap / abutment cap complete in all respect with all components including grouting with non-shrink cementatious grout as per specification. Item includes preparation of design and drawing and its approval from the Engineer-in-charge, manufacturing, testing, transportation to site, storage with all handling, lead, lift etc. and placing the permanent bearings in position. Cost of providing temporary bearings / supports as required and other incidental expenses (if any) shall also be included. Bearings shall be provided with a warranty of trouble free maintenance of 15 years. (a) For Horizontal & Vertical Load
Item No. 3.2 Providing and installing expansion joints as per specifications detailed in IRC-SP:69 duly supplemented with manufacturer's recommendations. Entire installation is to be carried out strictly in the presence of manufacturer's representative only at all times. Item to include preparation of designs and drawings to obtain the necessary approval from the Engineer-in-charge, necessary provision and filling of recess for the expansion joints at no extra cost. The seal of the expansion joints shall be such as not to permit any dust collection at all times. Expansion joint shall be provided with a warranty of trouble free maintenance of 15 years. (a) Single strip seal joint with a total allowable movement of 80mm
SH:-IV SUPERSTRUCTURE
Item No. 4.1 Providing and laying Cast-in-situ Concrete using 43/53 grade Ordinary Portland (confirming to strength reqirements as per IS:8112) Cement construction of RCC solid slab/beam-slab/voided slab/ box girder superstructure for main bridge any other location complete as per drawings, specifications and provisions contained elsewhere in tender documents including all type of steel shuttering, staging, scaffolding vibration and necessary tools, plants and machinery, testing of materials etc. all complete. The rates quoted shall exclude the cost of providing and placing reinforcement steel, including necessary hardware and the same shall be paid separately under item 5.1 (a) RCC M-45 Grade
Item No. 4.2 Providing and laying M30 grade reinforced cement concrete with 43/53 grade Ordinary Portland Cement in cast-in-situ approach slab, friction slab over the approaches, complete as per drawing with making all joints and their sealing, interlocking keys at regular intervals in the friction slab, testing of materials etc. Reinforcement shall be measured and paid separately as per item 5.1.
Item No. 4.3 Providing, fabricating, transportation, assembling and erection in position of steel members for Steel Bridge using structural steel plates & rolled section (Grade E 410 BR conforming to IS 2062-2011) to the required profile and shape as called for as per the drawings and specifications. This item includes preparation of fabrication shop drawings and their approval, necessary templates, adequate temporary supports, scaffolding and staging, all cutting, grinding, welding (using automatic submerged arc welding and gas metal arc (MIG) welding wherever specified) & all labour, tools, plants & equipments and operations etc required to complete the job as per GFC drawings and specifications. Every precaution to be taken to prevent rusting of sections. This item also includes all tests on materials and welded fabricated parts as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in- Charge.Temporary bolts and nuts (Grade 8.8) to be used during assembling shall be removed before site erection including cost of all erection only HSFG bolts (Grade 8.8) & Shear connector- studs
as per drawing shall be provided wherever required. Item to include costs of steel sand blasting on external surface using abrasive charge conforming to SA 2.5 (ISO : 8501-1899), application of primer and various coats of internal and external painting in fabrication shop and final painting on site including all touch up works after erection as per technical specifications. painting shall be done : priming coat and painting, first coat - Interzinc-52, second coat - MIO- epoxy paint 150 DFT (intergrade 475 HS), third coat of interfine 878 polysiloxens (75 DFT). (The mode of measurement for the item shall be as per MORTH specifications for Road & Bridge work. However, the weight of HSFG Bolts, nuts, washer and shear connector / studs shall not be measured for payment.)
Item No. 4.4 Providing and installing 4mm thick polymer modified APP Double reinforcement membrane (Fiberglass and Nonwoven Polyester mat) of approved make including necessary primer and adhesive heating and rolling, overlapping and sealing joints etc. complete as per specifications and manufacture's recommendations by approved supplier as per the directions of Engineer-in-charge.
Item No. 4.5 Providing and fabricating Structural steel work welded and bolted, in built up sections for rain water Spout assembly consisting of drainage spouts and gratings in superstructure deck slab consisting of MS grating of size 412 x 412 with MS plate 12 x 25 mm, 6 mm thick MS drain pipe of internal dia. 125 mm, connection of grating and drain pipe using 6 mm MS plate, 6 mm thick collar plate, lower assembly having inverted bowl of 6 mm stainless steel and 4 no. 12 mm dia. rod and embedding the part assembly with casting deck slab/ segment, fixing the lower assembly including nuts, bolts, welding, making perforations, hot dip galvanised assembly after fabrications etc. complete as per drawings and specifications and as directed by Engineer- in-Charge
Item No. 4.6 Providing cast-in-situ crash barriers in M40 grade concrete using 43/53 grade OPC having form liner finish on the outer face and integrating by providing and laying M-40 grade concrete in cast-in-situ portion of crash barrier including centering and shuttering required, form liner finish, providing all tools, plants and machineries, leads and lifts etc. all complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge but excluding the cost of reinforcement which shall be paid separately under item no. 5.1. (a) Fully cast-in-situ crash barrier

SH:-VI ROAD WORK Primer Coat
Item No. 6.1 Providing bituminous prime coat @ 0.60 kg/sqm over WMM surface using cationic bitumen emulsion SS1 Grade conforming to IS:8887 including spraying the Emulsion with mechanically operated spray unit including cleaning and preparing the existing road surface as per specifications. Clause 502 of MORT&H, 2013 .

Item No. 6.3 (Bituminous Concrete) Providing and laying 40/50mm compacted thickness of Bitumimnous Concrete with bitumen of grade VG-30 @ 5.5% (percentage by weight of Total mix) and lime filler @ 2% (percentage by weight of Aggregate) on prepared surface with specified graded crushed stone aggregates for wearing course including hot mixing of stone aggregates, filler and bitumen in computerised batch type hot mix plant of 100-120 TPH capacity, transporting the mixed material by tippers to site and laying the mixed material with paver finisher fitted with electronic sensing device to the required level and grade and rolling by road rollers, as per MORTH specifications, to achieve the desired density and compaction, but excluding the cost of tack coat complete as per teh directions of the Engineer-in-charge.
Item No. 6.4 Providing and laying Dense Bituminous Macadam on prepared surface with specified graded crushed stone aggregates including hot mixing of stone aggregates, filler and bitumen in computerised batch type hot mix plant of 100 - 120 TPH capacity, transporting the mixed material by tippers to site and laying the mixed material with paver finisher fitted with electronic sensing device to the required level and grade and rolling by road rollers, as per MORTH specifications, to achieve the desired density and compaction, but excluding the cost of primer/tack coat. (a) 50 to 100 mm average compacted thickness with bitumen of grade CRMB-60 @ 5% (percentage by weight of Total mix) and lime filler @ 2% (percentage by weight of Aggregate).
Item No. 6.5 Providing and laying factory made chamfered edge Cement Concrete paver blocks, sand blasted, of required strength,thickness & size/shape, made by table vibratory method , to attain superior smooth finish using PU or equivalent moulds, laid in required colour & pattern over 50mm thick compacted bed of coarse sand, compacting and proper embedding / laying of inter locking paver blocks into the sand bedding layer through vibratory compaction by using plate vibrator, filling the joints with sand and cutting of paver blocks as per required size and pattern, finishing and sweeping extra sand in footpath, parks,lawns, drive ways or light traffic parking etc. all complete as per manufacturer’s specifications & direction of Engineer -in-Charge: (sand free of organic material, clay balls or other deletirious matter as per Class II grading of Table 300-3 of MORTH specifications). (a) 60 mm thick c.c. paver block of M-30 grade with approved colour design and pattern.
Item No. 6.6 (Kerb Stone) Providing and laying at or near ground level factory made kerb stone/ prefabricated at site/ cast-in-situ at site of M-25 grade cement concrete in position to the required line, level and curvature, jointed with cement mortar 1:3 (1 cement: 3 coarse sand) including making joints with or without grooves (thickness of joints except at sharp curve shall not to more than 5mm), including making drainage opening wherever required complete etc. as per direction of Engineer-in-charge (length of finished kerb edging shall be measured for payment). (Precast C.C. kerb stone shall be approved by Engineer-in-charge).
Item No. 6.7 Providing and laying tactile tile (for vision impaired persons as per standards) of size 300x300x9.8mm having with water absorption less than 0.5% and conforming to IS: 15622 of approved make in all colours and shades in for outdoor floors such as footpath, court yard, multi modals location etc., laid on 20mm thick base of cement mortar 1:4 (1cement : 4 coarse sand) in all shapes & patterns including grouting the joints with white cement mixed with matching pigments etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Item No. 6.8 Providing, laying, spreading and compacting 300 mm thick Granular Sub Base (GSB) Course in two layers of 150mm thick each, with grade 1 and grade 2 materials of CBR not less than 20% and 30% respectively, including premixing the material with water at OMC in Mechanical mixing plant, carriage of material at site, spreading in uniform layers with motor grader on a prepared base, compacting with power/vibrating road roller of 8 to 10 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density including all materials, labours and machinery etc. complete for all leads and lifts as per specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge.
SH:-VII ROAD MARKING AND APPURTENANCES
Item No. 7.1 (Road Marking) Providing and laying of hot applied thermoplastic compound 2.5 mm thick including reflectorising glass beads @ 250 gms per sqm area, (thickness of 2.5 mm is exclusive of surface applied glass beads) as per IRC:35, marking strips (retro-reflective) Lane / centre line / edge line/ transverse marking and any other marking, continuous or broken including directional arrows, lettering, curved lines on curves etc. of specified shade/colour by automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, Glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on bituminous or cement concrete road surfaces including cost of material, labour, T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, scales, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of the Engineer-in-charge, applicable specifications. The raw material used for marking shall conform BS 3262 Part - I & MoRT&H Specifications for road and bridge works (fourth revision) under section 800 clause 803.4; Item to include all incidental expenditure required to complete the job. The item shall also include the cost and application of sealing primer to be applied to concrete surfaces as per recommendation of the manufacturer.
Item No. 7.2 (Road marking / Rumble Strips (retroreflective) Providing and applying 12.5 mm thick road marking strips (retro-reflective) of specified shade / colour using hot thermoplastic material by fully / semi automatic thermoplastic paint applicator machine fitted with profile shoe, glass beads dispenser, propane tank heater and profile shoe heater, driven by experienced operator on road surface including cost of material, labour ,T&P, cleaning the road surface of all dirt, seals, oil, grease and foreign material etc. complete as per direction of Engineer-incharge and accordance with applicable specifications.
Item No. 7.3 (Sign Boards) Manufacturing, supplying and fixing retro reflective sign boards made up of 2mm thick aluminium sheet, face to be fully covered with high intensity unmetalised micro-prismatic retro reflective sheeting conforming to type-IX of ASTM-D-4956-01 in blue and white or other colour combination as approved by the Engineer-in-charge including subject matter, message (bi-lingual), symbols and borders etc. as per IRC:67-2001, pasted on substrate by pressure sensitive adhesive backing conforming to class 1 of ASTM-D-4956-01 and fixing the same with suitable sized aluminium alloy rivets and/or bolts & nuts to back support frame of M.S. angle iron of size 25x25x3 mm along with theft resistant measures, mounted and fixed with 2 Nos. M.S. angles of size 35x35x5mm to a vertical post made up of 80mm dia M.S. circular pipe welded with base plate of size of 100x100x6mm at the bottom end and including making holes in pipes, angles, flats, providing & fixing M.S. message plate of required size wherever necessary. Steel work to be painted with approved shade, primer and paints as per specifications for steel structures (Vertical post of MS-Tee to be painted in black and white colours)
Backside of aluminium sheet to be painted with two or more coats of epoxy paint including appropriate priming coat including all leads and lifts etc. complete as per drawing, specifications and directions of Engineer-in-charge Informatory signs on single or double posts (A) (a) Shoulder Mounted Direction signs, 2440 x 1830 mm

(B) Cautionary signs like curve ahead, one way sign, merging traffic etc. as per drawing or as directed by Engineer-in-charge, Circular/Triangular 600mm,900 mm or 800 rectangular Cautionary Signage.
Item No. 7.4 (Road Studs) Providing and fixing Glow Studs of size 100 x 20 mm made of heavy duty body shall be moulded ASA (Acrylic styrene Acryloretrite) or HIP (High impact polystyrene) or ABS having electronically welded micro-prismatic lens with abrasion resistant coating as approved by Engineer in charge. The glow stud shall support a load of 13635 kg tested in accordance with ASTM D4280.The slope of retro-reflective surface shall be 35(+/-5) degrees to base. The reflective panels on both sides with at least 12 cm of reflective area up each side. The luminance intensity should be as per the specification and shall be tested as described in ASTM 1: 809 as recommended in BS: 873 part 4:1973. The studs shall be fixed to the road surface using the adhesive conforming to IS, as per procedure recommended by the manufacturer complete as per direction of Engineer-in-charge.
Item No. 7.5 (Road Delineator) Providing and fixing approved quality retro-reflectorised road delineators, reflectors, object Markers, hazard Markers including all incidentals complete as per drawing and Technical Specification Section 806 of MORTH (5th Revision),2013. (a) Delineator of orange coloured retro-reflective sheet fixed on vertical face of G.I. Pipe posts of 65 mm dia x 0.7 m height above finished level installed as per drawing and instructions of Engineer-in-charge including installation complete.
Item No. 7.6 Painting with synthetic enamel paint of approved brand and manufacture to give an even shade : Two or more coats on new work.
SH:- VIII MISC. WORK
Item No. 8.0 Preparation of structural design and drawing of all components i.e. Foundation, Sub Structure & Super Structure of Steel Arch Bridge/ Plate girder bridge or any other type of Bridge as per scope of the work including other structure components like retaining wall, crash barrier and any other structural member required under the scope of work as per direction of Engineer-in-Charge.
Electrical work
Item No. 1 Fabrication, Supply & Erection (on Pre-casted foundation at cross barrier made by Civil Deptt. ) of flange mounted hot dip galvanized octagonal pole of 8 Mtr height made from 3 mm thick HT Steel Plate, having bottom diameter of 1500mm and top daimeter of 70 mm complete with window at height of 1 Mtr or as per direction of Engineer in Charge from the base with flush cover (Hinged/Sliding) for cable terminator block etc. and galvanized base plate of size 240 mmx240mmx16mm/as required. The following may be housed in the window provided for cable termination including their supply and fixing: 6mm thick laminated mounted sheet of suitable size inside the windoew by providing and welding two no. GI strips of 4mm thickness : 1 No. A set of 20 amp brass neutrallink, 2 way copper bus bar & Din channel for two nos. MCB on existing laminated sheet : 1 Set 6 amp SP MCB 'B' characterstics : 2 Nos. 4 way 63 Amp heavy duty brass connector : 1 No. Earth stud welded at suitable height with two nos. washer & nut : 2 nos.
Item No. 2 Supplying and fixing 4 nos. (M 24 x 750mm long J/L type EN 8 Grade), threaded portion G.I, Foundation Bolts, with nuts, washers, 2 nos. templates (4mm thick suitable size), making of 4 nos x 28mm dia holes, etc. for 8 m poles. (One tem-plate (Top) shall have a 120mm dia hole at center for cable entry).
Item No. 3 Providing and fixing pole junction box of size 300 mm x 300 mm x 200 mm (deep) made from 1.6 mm thick MS sheet and front cover of fiber sheet complete with powder coating, making hole for HDPE Pipes i/c fixing in crass barrier etc. as required.
Item No. 4 Fabrication,supplying & fixing of galvanized Decorative Single/Double Arm Bracket of suitable size dia & length of MS Top Tube i/c arm made out of 60 mm dia B class MS pipe over hang bracket alongwith suitable size of tightening bolts for fixing of bracket on existing octagonal pole top and as per design approved by the Engineer-in-charge, etc.as reqd.
Item No. 5 Supplying, installation, testing and commissioning of 80W + 5% LED integral Street Light fitting with driver inside IP-66 pressure die-case aluminium housing for effective thermal management. Total systemen lumen should be 8000 or above, luman efficacy >100Lm/W power factor >0.95, CRI (Ra)>75, LED Make- Cree, Nichia, Philips Lumiled, Osram, Edison, complete with all accessories with connections, etc. complete as reqd.
Item No. 6 Supplying and drawing 3 x 2.5 Sq. mm PVC insulated copper conductor multicore cable in the existing 8 m poles and single arm bracket from cable termination connector to the fitting, i/c copper lugs, connections, etc. as reqd.
Item No. 7 Providing and laying of one number DWC High Density Poly Ethylene (HDPE) antirodent pipe conforming to IS : 14930 ( Part-II ) complete with necessary fittings for protection of 1.1 KV grade U.G. cables laid in concrete of crash barrier or as directed by Engineer in Charge etc, as reqd. (a) 90/76 mm dia (nominal size).

Item No. 12 Fabrication, supplying, installation, testing and commissioning of outdoor type cubical feeder pillar of minimum face area of 1.0 Sqm. (approx) of size 1.0 mtrs (Height) x 1.0 mtrs(width) x 300 mm(deep) (N.S) made out of MS Sheet 2mm thick (14 SWG) duly campartmentaised having 4 strip busbar of 200 Amp capacity double door with locking arrangement ( 02 Nos. Godown Locks) for protection from rain, dust vermin, duly fixed on MS angle iron frame work of size 50mm x 50mm x 6mm with 90 cm long legs out of which 45 cm duly grouted in cement concrete 1:2:4 (1 cement,2 sand and 4 stone aggrigate 20cm) i/c connections, inter connections with aluminium thimbles, earthing with two nos. earth studs duly painted with one coat of red oxide & two coats of superior quality enamel paint, providing 2 nos. Danger notice plates, separate compartment for accomodating energy meter, etc. complete as reqd i/c supplying, installation, testing and commissioning of following accessories:-
Item No. 13 Earthing with G.I. earth pipe 4.5 meter long, 40 mm dia i/c accessories, and providing masonry enclosure with cover plate having locking arrangement and watering pipe, etc. with charcoal/ coke and salt as reqd.
Item No. 14 Providing and laying earth connection from earth electrode with 6 SWG dia G.I. Wire in 15 mm dia G.I. pipe from earth electrode i/c connection with G.I. thimble excavation and re-filling as reqd.
Item No. 15 Supplying and laying 6 SWG G.I. wire at 0.50 meter below ground level for conductor earth electrode, including connection/ termination with GI thimble, etc. as reqd.
Item No. 16 Providing and fixing 6 SWG dia G.I. wire on surface or in recess for loop earthing along with existing surface/ recessed conduit/ submain wiring/ cable, etc. as reqd.
