Excavation in trenches in any type of soil not exceeding 1.5 m wide and not exc. 1.5 mtr deep ,complete all as specified and directed

M&L clean dry river sand in trenches/ducts for cushioning to cable, 8cm in depth before laying the cable and 15cm in depth after laying the cable, complete all as specified and directed

M&L for brick protection to cable using old size sub class 'B' bricks, laidflat, dry butt jointed, laid lengthwise perpendicular to the axis of cable, complete all as specified and directed.

Returning filling including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers not exc. 25 cm thick in trenches, complete all as specified and directed.

Removal of surplus soil obtained from excavation to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr and depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point, complete all as specified and directed.
