OUTSOURCING OF SERVICES FOR CERTAIN STANDBY POWER SUPPLY DG SET INSTALLATIONS AT PXE CHANDIPUR

Outsourcing services for maintenance and operation of following DG Set installations (as mentioned in ser item No.1.01 to 1.05) by employing operator (skilled).The resources deployed to ensure uninterrupted services shall be in accordance with the details given in PS and all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

For DG Set of Capacity 500 KVA - 02 Nos in Capative power house at techenical area PXE, one operator (skilled) is required in three Shift of 08 hours each on all days including Sundays and holidays (1002 shifts) Details of plants/equipment to be operated and maintained under this item are as follows:- Diesel engine, alternator, control panel, LT panels, change over switches, HT switch gears/VCBs/OCBs/etc ( where available) and all connected cables.

For DG Set of Capacity 250 KVA - 01 Nos at old power house, one operator (skilled) is required in three Shift of 08 hours each on all days including Sundays and holidays (1002 shifts) Details of plants/equipment to be operated and maintained under this item are as follows:- Diesel Engine Generating Set installation comprising of diesel engine, alternator, control panel, LT panels, change over switches and all connected cables etc complete.

For DG Set of Capacity 75 KVA - 01 Nos at chetak firing point, one operator (skilled) is required in three Shift of 08 hours each on all days including Sundays and holidays (1002 shifts) Details of plants/equipment to be operated and maintained under this item are as follows:- Diesel Engine Generating Set installation comprising of diesel engine, alternator, control panel, LT panels, change over switches and all connected cables etc complete.

For DG Set of Capacity 520 KVA - 01 Nos at Ballastic Center, one operator (skilled) is required in two Shift of 08 hours each on all days excluding Sundays and holidays (542 shifts) Details of plants/equipment to be operated and maintained under this item are as follows:- Diesel Engine Generating Set installation comprising of diesel engine, alternator, control panel, LT panels, change over switches and all connected cables etc complete.

For DG Set of Capacity 160 KVA - 01 Nos at Naval (NAD), one operator (skilled) is required in two Shift of 08 hours each on all days excluding Sundays and holidays (542 shifts) Details of plants/equipment to be operated and maintained under this item are as follows:- Diesel Engine Generating Set installation comprising of diesel engine, alternator, control panel, LT panels, change over switches and all connected cables etc complete.

NOTE- The rates quoted for operation and maintenance of installations will include the following :-(i) Providing optimum manpower with minimum qualification. The contractor will submit the details of manpower employed before commencement of work. (ii) Duty timings will be as follows. For round the clock duties: 1st shift - 06:00 - 14:00 Hrs, 2nd shift - 14:00 - 22:00 Hrs, 3rd shift - 22:00 Hrs - 06:00 Hrs. For General duty/one shift - 08:30 - 16:30 Hrs. Overtime duty will only be allowed during single shift / General duty after obtaining prior permission of Engr-in-charge against written certificate from users. Allowance of overtime hours will be calculated as per specified norms mentioned in particular specifications.Weekely off shall be given to each operator and a reliever should be provided during weekely off and the rate quoted shall be inclusive of the same. (iii) Cleaning of all equipments (Electrical and mechanical) and installations from inside and outside. (iv) Daily Check of DG Set as per manufacturer manual before starting the machine and ensure routine mainteneance including checking of water/coolant in radiator and topping up, checking of tightness of bolts ,nuts etc of coupling and other accessories, checking of fuel pipe line if leakng ,checking of battery sets of its specific gravity and replacing distilled water as as whene required and maintaining records of operation,maintenance and check etc. (v) Daily consumables such as grease, gland rope, cotton waste etc shall be provided by contractor at installations and the unit rate quoted shall be inclusive of the same. (vi) Area cleaning including cutting of grass, etc all around the installations as directed by Engr-in charge. (vii) Any abnormality observed to be immediately intimated to the maintenance team with intimation to the concerned MES Personnel / in charge.

(viii) Minimum required tools be always available with the operator (ix) Log sheets to be maintained regularly in binding book with respect to detailed parameters of power including details of FOL drawn consumed and balance all as directed by the Engr-in-Charge (x) First aid box including medicines shall be kept in the installations (xi) DHPP will be issued under Sch 'B'.Free for filling. The contractor will collect Sch 'B' store from POL stores of MES office and deliver to site and no extra payment shall be made on this account . (xii) The Contractor shall arrange the empty Barrel for collection of DHPP. (xiii) All the personnel employed for operation and maintenance should be in proper uniform and safety outfits as per relevant norms. They may also be required to be deployed in any other locations other than mentioned above as per the site requirements and exigencies. (xiv) Attending telephone calls where telephone is available, logging the details of events and further taking necessary actions or communicating to concerned officials of MES and as directed by Engr-in-charge (xv) Maintaining records of operations and repairs as directed by Engr-in-charge and submitting details monthly and when called for. (xvi) The rates are deemed to include minimum fair wages, EPF, ECIS etc to paid to the employed personnel as per the rules enforced by the Govt time to time and payment of all taxes as per govt rule.

(xvii) Contractor shall also keep the sufficient stock of the following stores :- (a) All types of nuts, bolts, washers, screws and other fasteners. (b) Cotton waste, brooms , torches, torch cells, ladder etc. (c) One set of tools and two sets of safty equipments and outfit as per requirement of installation and work. (d) Any other spares, tools or works felt necessary for proper services as decided by Engr-in-charge and Garrison Engineer. (xviii) Blank. (xix) if any defect arises to any installation due to improper operation, negligence or poor maintenance, the contractor will be liable for making good of the defects. (xx) Projected number of shifts in the BOQ is tentative. The exact no of shits would be according to the no of shifts as per item description in the BOQ in concurrence with the period of work as will be mentioned in the subsequently placed work order.
