Supply,install, testing and commissioning of maintenance free chemical earthing system (Grid type, set of 03 earth) conforming to IS: 3043 using 77mm dia, 3000mm long copper solid rod with exothermic 'T' point rod with 7.5 mtr long copper strip of size 50mmx6mm and 90mm dia terminal copper pipe of thickness 1.6mm and 3000mm long with test certificate 99.99% . The ground enhancing compound made of Marconite conductive aggregate (consist of Marconite resin-based cements, adhesive and gypsum plaster) shall not be less than 45Kg. The electrode shall be provided on its top with an earth termination clamp made out of electrolytic grade copper for connecting earth continuity conductor with copper wire/strip. PCC chamber of size 300x300x300mm with cover shall be provided on top of earth system on 100mm thick PCC 1:3:6 bed concrete. The chamber shall burried in ground with top edge projecting upto 75mm from ground surface complete all as specified and as directed.

Note :- (i) The earth resistance value should be less than 1 ohm. (ii) The quoted rate shall include cost of copper strip 50mmx6mm upto 7.5mtr length and earth pit bore in hard/disintegrated rock. (iii) The contractor shall give a written guarantee for maintenance earth resistance of less than 01 ohm for a period of 5 years from the certificate date of completion and to arrange security deposit of Rs 5000.00 each earthing for 05 years. (iv) The short time and peak with standing current capacity for 1 second should be 25KA and 52.5KA respectively. In this regard CPR/ERDA/NABL approved Lab test report is mandatory of Marconite conductive aggregate. Make- SN Engineering or equivalent from marconite conductive aggergate. (vi) Location : 1. Note :- Connected items (common salt, charcoal dust, earthing pit and cover, test point terminal block, earth enhencement compound, GI pipe 25mm etc) measure and paid seperately under respective item of sch 'A' complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for earthing pit indicator of different shape, size and colour marking(Circular/tringular/Rectengular, as per drawing) made out of 3mm thick GI sheet and 1 mtr long, 8mm dia MS rod welded with GI sheet including painting with one coat of red oxide primer and two coat synthetic enamel paints and marking earthing pit number as per digram attached complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F common salt commercial for earthing complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F charcoal dust/breeze for earthing pit complete all as specified and as directed.

S&F earthing pit made of PCC 1:3:6 type C-140 mm thick with pre cast cover slab of RCC(1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 8 mm TMT bars @ 10 cm C/C on both sides with suitable cast iron handle shall be provided complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F test point terminal block made of gun metal of phosphorus bronze of size 75mm x 75mm x 25mm drilled and screwed including 3 Nos 8mm dia 25mm long hexognal head screw of brass fixed to wall complete all as specified and as directed.

Supply & fixing, light grade, 25 mm dia GI tubing embeded in PCC over roof as in earth lead protection pipe etc complete all as specified and as directed.

M&L for earthing complete with Copper earth plate electrode 60cm x 60cm x 3.15 mm thick buried directly in ground (earth pit not less than 2.25 Mtr below ground level) with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 Mtrs below ground level connected and using with Copper strip 20x3 mm as earth lead by means of nuts, bolts, thimbles, chuck nuts, washers of GI or steel, including PCC (concrete chamber) shall be PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20mm graded stone aggregate, with fair finish internal surface of concrete chamber shall be given 15mm thick plaster in CM 1:4, funnel with wire gauge mesh, 80 mm thick RCC pit cover 320 mm x 320 mm of RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with XPM, Jali and charcoal dust and common salt all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of MES SSR Part-I (2009) and specified including provision 40 mm dia medium grade pipe and watering pipe shall be 20mm bore medium grade, and including all excavation and earth work & connecting the earthing to an earthing test point complete all as specified & as directed .

NOTE: (i) The concrete pit shall be PCC 1:3:6 type C-140 mm thick pre cast cover slab of RCC(1:2:4) type B-1 using 20 mm graded stone aggregate reinforced with 8 mm TMT bars @ 10 cm C/C on both sides with suitable cast iron handle shall be provided in liew of cost iron cover shown in the electrical plate No.3 of MES SSR Part -1 (ii) item includes the cost of 7.5 m GI pipe for protection of earth strip. (iii) PCC pits extra cost of addtional length of watering pipe,bends elbows etc.shall be deemed to be included in the quioted rate.
