Construction of embankment with approved material obtained from borrow pits (land owned/arranged by the Agency with Royalty) with all lifts and leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacting to meet requirement of table 300-2 & 300-1 .The size course material in the mix of earth ordinarily shall not be exceed 75mm.(Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 305). Cost of compensation for Earth material & its carriage from private land at 5km distance have been included in the rate. [Note: Royalty as appicable will be deducted from Agency's bill if not produce Royalty clearance certificate from the competent authority.]

Excavation in Soil by Manual Means Excavation for roadway in soil using manual means including loading in truck for carrying of cut earth to embankment site with all lifts and lead upto 1000 metres (Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 301). (Note: In case there is a situation where the cross-section is of cut and fill and cut earth is required to be used in embankment in the immediate vicinity, the item of carriage in the truck (i.e. ₹40.90) shall be omitted.)

Excavation in Soil using Hydraulic Excavator CK 90 and Tippers with Disposal upto 1000 metres. Excavation for roadwork in soil with hydraulic excavator of 0.9 cum bucket capacity including cutting and loading in tippers, trimming bottom and side slopes, in accordance with requirements of lines, grades and cross sections, and transporting to the embankment location within all lifts and lead upto 1000m (Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 301).

Construction of Subgrade and Earthen Shoulders Construction of sub-grade and earthen shoulders with approved material obtained from borrow pits (land owned/arranged by the Agency with Royalty) with all lifts & leads, transporting to site, spreading, grading to required slope and compacted to meet requirement of table No. 300-2 (Reference to MoRT&H's specification clause 305). [Note: In case earth is available from Govt. land, compensation for earth i.e. ₹ 43.00/m3 to be deducted from the Rate] [Note: Royalty as appicable will be deducted from Agency's bill if not produce Royalty clearance certificate from the competent authority.]

Fine Sand Filling in Foundation Trenches with good local sand free from earth not exceeding 150 mm compacted thickness including inundating each layer by profuse water and porking and rammimg layer by layer. Quality of sand is to be approved by the Engineer-in-charge.(Reference to MORT&H's specification 304). (Payment will be made on the basis of finished compacted volume)

Water Bound Macadam Providing, laying, spreading and compacting stone aggregates of specific sizes to water bound macadam specification including spreading in uniform thickness, hand packing, rolling with 3 wheeled steel/ vibratory roller 8-10 tonnes in stages to proper grade and camber, applying and brooming requisite type of screening/ binding Materials to fill up the interstices of coarse aggregate, watering and compacting to the required density (Reference to MoRT&H's specification 404). using Screening Crushable type such as pickup materials (Sulvage materials) (Payment will be made on the basis of finished compacted volume)

Water Bound Macadam Sub Base by consolidating Jhama metal of specific size in hard crust to requisite thickness (measured after compaction) in layers including screening of metals etc. as necessary, hand packing, sweeping, watering and rolling in stages with power roller to proper line, grade and camber, lighting, guarding & barricading and making necessary earthen bundh of one metre width on each side where necessary to protect edges and preparing the bed by necessary cutting or filling and rolling all complete including the cost of all materials and hire and labour charges of all men and machineries and compacting to the required density, as per Clause 404 of Specifications for Road & Bridge Works of MoRT&H (5th Revision).
