M&L for Raking out existing bituminous sealing compound filling in Construction & Dummy joints of width not exc. 10mm up to required depth as specified & as directed by special tools like concrete cutter, wire/coir brushes/ machines and joint cleaned thoroughly with application of compressed air, making free from all the loose materials i.e., dirt, dust, grease, existing sealing compound, backup rod, etc including sticked material of existing compound raked up to full depth (up to 40mm) of joints etc to entire satisfaction of Engineer-in-Charge and filling the joint with polyurethane joint sealing compound using mechanical means with depth of joint sealing compound not less than 13mm (minimum depth above the back up rod) with minimum performance guarantee of 05 years and minimum movement accommodation factor (MAF) + 30% confirming to the requirements of BS-5212 and EN-141875-2003 for Hydrolysis/ water resistance test including applying primer (applied twice on one side by forward and reverse movement of brush) and filling the balance raked depth of joint with backup material i.e. polythene backup rod to ensure tight packing, so that no gaps or voids exist at the top of backup material and applying masking tape on edge of joint to prevent accidental slippage of sealant on top surfaces to give a neat finish to the sealant and remove the masking tape after sealant is applied as required complete as per manufacturer's instructions complete and all as specified and as directed by Engineer-in-Charge. (NOTE: Polythene back up rod, if required to be replaced shall be measured and paid separately. Cost of other materials are deemed to be included in the quoted rates)

S & F closed cell polythene back up rod, medium density for joints of width exc 8 mm but not exc 12 mm. (NOTE: Width/Dia of back up rod shall be 20 to 25% more than the joint so that there is no seepage of sealant through joints edges)

S&F 25 mm thick non-bituminous cross linked polymer filler board, HD100 (with 100 density) for expansion joints complete all as specified and directed. (NOTE: Filler board shall be measured in multiples layers proportionately in case of required thickness more than 25 mm on site)
S&F bond breaker tape, of approved quality, suitable for joints in concrete pavements of width exc 8 mm but not exc 12 mm complete all as specified and directed.

M&L for repair to top out spalled joints, broken corners and pot holes in concrete slab by chiseling/ mechanical cutter to provide regular pneumatic cavity with sides perpendicular, removal of laitance by etching and abrading surfaces with wire brush, removal of dust and loose materials by blower, cleaning and washing the surface to remove oil, grease, wax, etc, priming the surfaces with suitable epoxy resin primer and applying epoxy mortar and finished as per manufcturer specifications complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L for repair to top out spalled joints, broken corners and pot holes in concrete slab by chiseling/ mechanical cutter to provide regular pneumatic cavity with sides perpendicular, removal of laitance by etching and abrading surfaces with wire brush, removal of dust and loose materials by blower, cleaning and washing the surface to remove oil, grease, wax, etc, priming the surfaces with suitable primer and applying self levelling elastomeric concrete and finished as per manufcturer specifications complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L for repair to top out spalled joints, broken corners in Flexible Pavements by chiseling/ mechanical cutter to provide regular pneumatic cavity with sides perpendicular, cleaning of all loose or broken materialswith wire brush, removal of dust and loose materials by blower, cleaning and washing the surface and applying surface treatment with Tar Epoxy complete all as specified and as directed.
Repair to cracks in existing bituminous pavements by cutting upto a width of 10mm to 20mm upto the full depth of crack not exc 100mm or to a depth as directed by Engineer-in-Charge, cleaning of all loose or broken materials and removal to a distance exc 50m but not exc 100m, cleaning and washing the surface using compressed air or other approved means and filling the cracks with elastomeric bituminous rope and applying direct torch flame for about 20-30 seconds till it liquifies and finally covering the treated crack with runway crack sealing tape as per manufacturer's instructions complete all as specified and directed.
Demolition of cement Concrete in pavings, runway, pavement, links etc n exc 15 cm thickness (below or above ground level) including removal of debris from outside AF land and disposed off complete all as specified and as directed.
-ditto- but depth of concrete exceeding 15 cm as in runway/pavements, links etc complete. (NOTE: Quoted rate shall be deemed to include the cost of machinery/T&P required for carrying out the work)
M&L 100mm thick PCC 1:4:8 (Nominal Mix) Type D2 (using 20mm graded stone agg) as in pavement/ floor including necessary form work complete all as directed by Engineer-in-Charge.
Supply and laying Machine pressed precast conctete interlocking paver block any shape and size confirming to IS 15658-2006 of 60 mm thickness, M-35 Grade, with grey cement and pigment, incl taking out existing old paver blocks and removing from site complete all as specified and directed. (NOTE: Sand cushioning shall be measured and paid seperately)
M&L for Sand filling under paver blocks bedding/runway pavement etc including consolidation complete all as specified and as directed.
M&L PCC 1:2:4 type B1 (using 20mm graded stone agg) as in plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating, finished even and smmoth without using extra cement including necessary formwork complete as specified and directed
Supply and laying one layer of polythene film 400 micron thickness as per ASTM D2103/IS 2508 with side and end overlapping not less than 300mm complete all as specified and as directed. (NOTE : Measurement shall be taken for net area and unit rate quoted shall deemed to include for over lapping.)
Supply only polyester triangular/Non circular synthetic fibre for pavement quality concrete PQC surface complete all as specified and directed.
M&L for Pavement Quality Concrete (PQC) of minimum field flexural strength 45 Kg/Sq cm after 28 days in pavement slab using not less than 400 Kg of cement per cum of concrete or as per design mix, whichever is higher, with crushed stone aggregate of grading as specified and non-circular synthetic fibre reinforcement @ 0.25% by weight of cement, laid in panels, spread and compacted, mechanically vibrated including necessary formwork, finishing surfaces by brooming/ belting etc, for average concete thickness 250 mm complete all as specified and directed. NOTES : 1. The work shall be executed in small patches as per site requirement. Quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of the above aspect. 2. Quoted rate shall be deemed to include cost of mix design for PQC from any Govt approved laboratory/Engg College. 3. In the event of increase in cement content as per mix design, nothing extra shall be admissible and quoted rate is deemed to be inclusive of the same. 4. Cost of brooming/belting is deemed to be inclusive in quoted rate. 5. Synthetic fibre reinforcement shall be measured and paid seperately. 6. Deduction shall be made for the volume of expansion joint.
-ditto- but for PQC of depth exceeding 250 mm complete NOTES:- 1. Notes for Item No 25 above shall also be applicable for this item 2. PQC shall not be laid in layers more than 25 cm thick at a time.
