M& L for overhauling of complete diesel engine of followiung capacities by opening top head, cleaning of engine of Generator and replace worned out parts of engine, checking and setting right the alignment of Engine and alternator, servicing of engine for smooth running, observing and setting correctly the unsual sound and colour of smoke from exhaust (if any), reparing the leakage of fuel, lubricating oil and coolent, reparing of accessores drive, turbocharger and crankshaft, greasing, cleaning, removal of carbon deposits and other unwanted reminants, re-assembling the complete engine, fixing it in position and testing on load complete all as specified and directed. Note:- Overhauling of diesel engine will be carried out through authorised service agency as approved by OEM and approved by GE. (ii) all unserviceable parts/ spare parts will be paid under relevant BOQ item.

Repair and replacement of complete wiring of existing panel board/ control panel board for 40 KVA to 100 KVA DG set with existing size including replacement of Ammeter, temprature meters, oil pressure gauge and ignition switch complete etc all as directed.

Repair and replacement of complete wiring of existing panel board/ Control panel board for 125 KVA to 320 KVA DG set with existing size including replacement of Ammeter, temprature meters, oil pressure gauge and ignition switch complete etc all as directed.

Draining out Lub oil from the oil pan assy of DG set of capacity 62.5 to 320 KVA and keeping aside for reuse and taking down oil pan assy complete from the engine block for cleaning the eitire oil pan with recommended solution and resembling the oil pan after replacement of gasket oil pan (Lub oil will be examined for reuse by Engr in charge. However if the oil is found unfit for reuse, fresh oil will be measured and paid separaetly under respective item).

Decoupling the alternator from the engine and taking out alternator 125 to 320 KVA from base plate and carrying the unserviceable alternator to local market including dismantling the entire alternator, taking out burnt enamelled copper wire, preparing the stator for rewinding and then rewinding the stator with super enamelled copper wire of superior quality including application of insulating material, cotton tapes and suitable heat treatment, transporting back to site and refixing the engine in the same position.

Taking out carefully and repairing of fuel injection pump assembly complete from the engines of following capacity of DG sets including maintenance, servicing, replacement of valves, washers etc re-assembling, calibration, setting for proper function, refixing and testing complete all as specified & directed.

Taking down u/s dynamo/charging alternator12/ 24 volts from the engine and supply and fixing charging alternator 12/24 volts with necessary electrical connection with suitable cap flexible copper wire and sleeves. Make : Lucas TVS or equivalent.

Taking down the turbo charger from the engine of DG set of 62.5/75/100/250 KVA after disconnection of all electrical connection and supply and fixing of the same on the position complete all as directed including elctric welding to the bracing of gaurd and the outer frame of turbo charger.

Dismantling & taking out carefully, reparing the self starter from the engine of following capacity of DG sets with opening up, cleaning / servicing and replacement of carbon brushes with holder and assembling back, refixing and testing complete etc all as specified & directed.

7.5 to 30 KVA capacity

Taking out carefully for repairing the radiator assembly from the engine of following capacity of DG sets by disconnecting of inlet and outlet and over-hauling / servicing the radiator cleaning / removing blockage arresting leakage with necessary welding / brazzing as required and fixing back in its position for testing complete etc all as specified & directed.

Dismantling and taking out the necessary connection carefully from MS fuel tank of any size / type of DG set by disconnecting of fuel pipes connections, draining out of fuel from the tank, cleaning & removing sediments, dirt etc from fuel tank and replacement of fuel pipe line with highly transparent PVC flexible threaded pipes of suitable size including painting of outer surface of fuel tank with synthetic enamel paint of one coat after cleaning, scrubbing the surfaces and writing the capacity of fuel tank and marking fuel level position with synthetic enamel paint for the following DG sets.

Repair / maintenance of battery charger of existing capacity 6 to 24 volts DC including replacement of unserviceable parts such as diodes, rotory switches, transformers etc of the same make & model complete etc all as directed.

Repair to self starter, opening and repair to commutator replacement of carbon brush rewinding of stator coil and fixing self starter for 100 to 250 KVA DG Set complete etc all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply & fixing in repair thermostate assembly for 250/200/125/75/62.5 KVA DG Sets complete all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out old asbestos rope from exhaust silencer system, cleaning silencer pipe exhaust system wrapping up new asbestos rope on exhaust silencer system applying plaster of paris on complete exhaust system upto 320 KVA DG Set complete etc all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Taking out radiator assembly from the engine base frame for cleaning all chocked tubes of water cooler radiator asembly by applying suitable chemical for cleaning of chocked tubes & re-assembling after cleaning or brazing of tubes if required for 100 to 320 KVA capacity complete etc all as specified & directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Material and Labour for dismantling of all existing connection and accessores of DG set of cap 100 to 250 KVA installed at AA RMS and shifting and installation with connection and testing at new location, including preparation of foundation for DG set with prior approval of foundation drawing by GE complete all as specified and directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note : (i) Tool and machinery required for dismantling and reconnection/ installation shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates. (ii) machinery/ plant required for lifting of DG set safety, transportation and re-installation shall be deemed to be included in quoted rates. (iii) No extra cost will be paid by the department in case of any damage and broken parts of DG sets during the transportaion and installation. (iv) Minor items required for fixing and installation shall be deemed to be included in the quoted rates (v) Cost of foundation is deemed to be included in unit rate quoted.

Material and Labour for dismantling and shifting of AMF/ LT panel with connected UG cables installed at existing location and installed at new location, Panel should be mounted on angle iron from and legs (Vertical height of legs not less than 30 CM except in PCC) made from angle of existing size, frame and legs duly spray painted internally and externally with two coats of synthetic enamel paint over a coat of red oxide primer legs grouted in PCC 1:3:6 type Br (using 40mm graded stone aggregate) complete including all connection with foundation completed all as specified and directed. Note:-Cost of foundation, tool and plant required for dismantling and installation is deemed to be included in quoted rates.

Attending electrical and mechanical complaints related to DG sets installed at AA RMS and allied units from complaint section/ JE E&M / Engr-in-Charge & attending the same within 2 hrs. This item is inclusive of all preliminary work like opening of connections, checking for supply, transportation of necessary tools and labour, assessing the nature of complaints, rectifying minor issues, removing air lock (if any), reconnecting the DG set back for proper functining. Note: Non compliance of attending breakdown & Complaint within 2 hrs after notification of the complaint will attract penalty @ 500/- per hour and maximum Rs 10,000/- per day per complaint shall be recovered from Contractor.s payment for each complaint so notified. Contractor shall deploy sufficient resources along with personnel safety equipments to keep all the DG sets functional.
