Maintenance of Nursery, Bio shield plantation, Medicinal garden, Avenue trees , fruit bearing trees in Kalpakkam Township during the year 2025 - 2026.

Maintenance of Nursery including watering the plants, mixing garden earth manure, filling pits, preparing potted plants sowing seeds, interculturing propagation seedling and new saplings in polythene bags, transferring it to potted plants later, removing weeds, trimmings including disposing of unwanted vegetation's etc., transporting cut wild grass etc., in contractor's own arranged lorries to dumping yard and disposing them as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note:- 1) The rate quoted shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for loading, unloading, transporting of cut wild grass leaves, etc., to the dumping yard and disposal. 2) The rate quoted shall also include the cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening. 3) The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m area maintained per month. 4) For every 800 Sq.m. of nursery area, contractor should engage minimum 1 Labour for regular maintenance. 5) The area to be maintained per month is 3500 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 3500 Sq.m = 42000 Sq.m.

Maintenance of Bio shield plantations including coconuts, assorted trees & fruit bearing trees by regular watering, weeding and forming basins around the trees, make a temporary fencing for young trees as and when required, etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note:- 1) The rate shall include cost of all tools & plants, water delivery hose required for gardening. 2) The rate quoted shall be per No. tree maintained per month. 3) If tree gets dried/dead the same will be replaced by contractor at his own cost. 4) Wherever treated effluent water not available contractor shall arrange mechanical means for watering the trees. 5) For every 400 trees, the contractor shall engage minimum 1 labour for maintenance. 6) Measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle etc., by engaging suitable manpower. 7) The trees to be maintained per month is 1300 Nos. As such, total tree to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 1300 Nos. = 15600 Nos.

Maintenance of Medicinal plants including regular watering, removing weeds, trimming of unwanted growth of vegetation and disposing the same to dumping yard as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. Note:- 1) The area to be maintained per month is 1800 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 1800 Sq.m = 21600 Sq.m. 2) The Contractor shall engage minimum one labour daily for every 600 Sq.m of medicinal plants area for maintenance and the rate quoted shall be per Sq.m area maintained per month.

Maintenance of lawns, flower beds, hedges, trees in garden area by watering at regular intervals, cutting and trimming the unwanted growth of grasses as required including running lawn mover, removing weeds, collecting the cut grass, cleaning and sweeping of lawn area, fallen leaves of trees and disposing the same at dumping yards as shown by the department, watering the trees both inside & outside the garden area complete all as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in- charge. Note:- 1) The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of cut grass, leaves etc., to the dumping yard. 2) The rate shall also includes cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening and measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle's etc., 3) The rate quoted shall be per Sq.m area maintained per month. 4) Contractor has to make his own arrangements for lawn movers. If departmental lawn mover is available it will be provided by department on chargeable basis. 5) If lawn mover is not used, then recovery at the rate of 30 paise/Sq.m per month will be charged as penalty from each RA Bill. 6) For every 1800 Sq.m. of lawn area, contractor should engage minimum 1 Labour for regular maintenance. 7) The area to be maintained per month is 2000 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 2000 Sq.m = 24000 Sq.m.

Maintenance of tree including adequate watering by mechanical means like tractor with tanker / lorry tanker including making temporary tree quards, forming basins around the trees, weeding, trimming of unwanted branches and disposing the same, watch & ward etc., all as per specification and as directed by Engineer - In - Charge. Note: 1) The rate shall also include cost of all tools & plants and measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle etc.,2 ) The rate quoted shall be per number maintained per month. (1200 Trees / Month) for 12 Months x 1200 Nos. = 14400 Nos. 3) If tree gets dried / dead during the maintenance period the same shall be replaced by contractor at his own cost.

Note:1) The rate shall include cost of all tools & plants, water delivery hose required for gardening. 2) The rate quoted shall be per No. tree maintained per month. 3) If tree gets dried/dead the same will be replaced by contractor at his own cost. 4) Contractor shall arrange mechanical means for watering the trees. Wherever treated effluent water is not available. 5) For every 400 trees, the contractor shall engage minimum one man day for maintenance. 6) The rate quoted shall be per number maintained per month. (1200 Trees / Month) for 12Months x 1200 Nos. = 14400 Nos. 7) Measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle etc., by engaging suitable manpower.

Collection, supply and stacking of good quality red earth without stones, gravel etc., and stacking for pre measurement at places shown by Engineer for taking pre measure- ments including spreading the same at places shown with a lead up to 100 metres etc,. all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection, supplying and stacking of decomposed dry farmyard manure without undesirable materials, stacking the same at places shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100 metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Collection, stacking & spreading of STP manure (collected from Department sewage treatment plant) without undesirable materials, stacking the same at places shown by Engineer for taking pre measurements including spreading the same at places shown with a lead upto 100 metres and filling in pits etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supply of black coloured Poly bags [LDPE of 300-400gsm] of size 175 mm length with 100 mm dia and 230mm length with 120mm dia. or other required size including stacking as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and Spraying of approved quality plant protection chemicals such as Chloropyriphos or Neem oil, etc., as and when required during the entire contract period, etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Supplying and spraying of approved quality rooting hormone powder/root growth stimulator such as Keradix, Rootex etc., as and when required during the entire contract period etc., all as per specification and as directed by Engineer - In- charge.

Cleaning the crown of coconut trees (Coconut groove, STP, Nursery premises) including removal of excess leaves, dried leaves and dried flower spathe, etc., including disposing and transporting of dried leaves & spathe, etc., by using tractor to the dumping yard and disposing them as directed by the Engineer-in-charge. [Note: The bidder shall arrange a tractor for loading and disposal of dried leaves and dried flower spathe, etc.,]

Providing well burnt Earthen flower pots of dia. 10" @ top and 5.5" @ bottom and 10" height including conveyance, loading & unloading, stacking at the nursery, etc., all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Providing plastic flower pots including plate (with different shapes) of size 300mm dia. and 250-300mm height including conveyance, loading, unloading & stacking at the place shown by Engineer etc., complete all as per specification and as directed by the Engineer -in-charge.

Clearing the light jungles, bushes and unwanted growth of vegetation's, etc., at Nursery and coconut grove area by using Mechanical means including the cost of hire charges for bush cutter, collection and disposing the same by mechanical means to the dumping yard as shown by the Department, etc., as per specifications and as directed by the Engineer-in-charge.

Labour charges for cleaning the fountain and pond area including screen, floor, chamber area cleaning and removing the floating materials, algae growth and the deposited waste by conveyance and disposal the same by mechanical means to the dumping yard as shown by the Engineer-in-charge etc., complete. Note:- 1) The rate shall include the cost of hire charges of lorry and labour for transporting of floating material, algae growth, deposited waste etc., to the dumping yard. 2) The rate shall also includes cost of all tools, plants, water delivery hose required for gardening and measures to be taken to prevent the entry of goats, cattle's etc., 3) Fountain and pond shall be cleaned attleast twice per week and the rate quoted shall be per Sq.m area maintained per month. 4) The area to be maintained per month is 1500 Sq.m. As such, total area to be maintained under this contract is 12 Months x 1500 Sq.m = 18000 Sq.m.

Trimming of tree branches, which causing hindrance to free vehicle movement, blocking street light and touching the building etc., on road sides, avenues, streets and near buildings, including cutting the branches of trees using necessary tools, collecting, transporting and disposing them at places shown by the Department using suitable vehicles, etc., all as directed by the Engineer-in- charge.
