CLEANING OF OVERHEAD TANKS, UG SUMPS, PRESSURE FILTER AND MAINT OF RO PLANT INCLUDING REPLACEMENT OF OLD UNSV GI PIPE LINES OF VARIOUS SIZE AND ALLIED WORK AT INS KARDIP AND ICGS KAMORTA UNDER GE(I) CAMPBELL BAY

Excavation in trenches, n.exc 1.5 m wide and n.exc 1.5 m in depth; for foundation/ trench, etc. n.exc 10 Sqm on plan and n.exc 1.5m in depth and getting out in any type of soil all as specified and as directed.

Returning, filling in, including spreading, levelling, watering and well ramming in layers n.exc 25 cm thick with excavated soil all as specified and as directed.

Removing excavated materils (soil) to a distance n.exc 50m and depositing where directed at a level n.exc 1.5m above the starting point all as specified and directed.

M & L for addition alteration in old GI pipe, screwing, cutting, threading, fixing of GI fittings like union, elbow, tees, nipples, dummy, plugs etc of upto 100 mm bore including attending any minor work regarding pipe line as per directed by Engr-in-Charge. Note:- Rates for necessary GI fittings like union, tees, nipples, elbow etc is deemed to be inclusive in above quoted rates.

S & F steel tubes, 100mm dia bore medium grade galvanized with all fittings and fixed complete laid in floors / trenches / fixed to wall and ceiling including taking down the existing old pipe complete all as specified and directed.

Description all as per Item No 4 above but 80 mm dia bore complete all as specified and as directed.

Description all as per Item No 4 above but 50 mm dia bore complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F CPVC pipe 25mm dia bore with all fittings and fixed complete laid in floors / trenches / fixed to wall and ceiling including taking down the existing old pipe complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for cleaning of shallow water wells of size 4m dia, 10m depth by dewatering the complete well, removing the sediments settled at the bottom and depositing where directed, scraping the walls with wire brush and washing with clear water and applying two coats of anti fungal white paint internally and writing the date of cleaning, due date of cleaning and capacity of well in paint (white letters on black background) complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for cleaning of RCC water tanks (inside) by dewatering the complete tank, removing the sediments settled at the bottom of tank, scraping with the help of shovels, hard brushes and physical cleaning of tanks (Reservoir) by de-scaling/brooming silt and sludge and other deposits from inner side (bottom of dome), collecting and taking them out with the help of manual labour and depositing at a distance not exceeding 50m and making the tank clean and washing properly with bleaching powder mixed with water (1:10) and applying two coats of white wash both internally and externally and writing the date of cleaning, due date of cleaning and capacity of tank in paint (white letters on black back ground) and the inner ladder with two coats of black synthetic enamel paint of exterior quality over a coat of red oxide primer and including removing of any vegetation growth on and around the tank complete all as specified and directed by Engineer -in-charge with the following capacities and description:- Note:- (i) Work is to be executed at 15 to 25m height (ii) All necessary T&P, labours and materials will be arranged by the contractor with pre cautionary measures (a) Overhead reservoir of capacity 45,000 litres

(b) Description all as per Item No 7 above but Underground sump of capacity 20,000 litres complete all as specified and as directed.

(c) Description all as per Item No 7 above but Underground sump of capacity 3,00,000 litres complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for cleaning of RCC / rotational moulded PVC water storage service tanks of capacity 5000 litres on buildings by dewatering complete tank, removing sediments setteld at the bottom of tank and scraping the walls and bottom of tank, removing any vegetation growth and cleaning with bleaching powder solution, washing with clear water and writing the date of cleaning in white paint complete all as specified and as directed.

Description all as per Item No 8 above but 2000 litres capacity complete all as specified and as directed.

Description all as per Item No 8 above but 1000 litres capacity complete all as specified and as directed.

Description all as per Item No 8 above but 500 litres capacity complete all as specified and as directed.

Dismantling existing unserviceable PVC water tanks and supply and fix PVC rotational moulded water tank of 5000 litres capacity two layered hoisted and fixed in position including provision of necessary inlet / outlet / over flow pipe and connected with the existing pipe lines complete all as specified and directed.

S & F ball valve, high pressure of PTMT with epoxy coated Aluminium rod & high density plastic ball screwed for iron pipe 20 mm bore dia including taking down the existing old one complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for full automatic star Delta motor starter in sheet steel enclosure with motor rating AC-3 duty, 415 Volts, 50 Hz, 6 phase suitable for 7.50 HP to 20 HP electric motor of centrifugal pump having discharge 15000 GPH at 30meter head including incoming electric panel and outgoing of starter with electric motor terminal plate with lugs and thimbles complete with mounting arrangement and testing on completion all as specified and directed by Engineer-in-Charge.

Supply only the following materials required for day to day maintenance of water supply installations : - (a) Bleaching Powder for disinfection of water complete all as specified and as directed.

(b) Granular hi-strength chlorine chemical with CIAS OF CHLORINE STRENGTH 55 % available 45 Kg drum complete all as specified and as directed.

(c) White Sulphate alum in 10 Kg Blocks for sedimentation of water complete all as specified and as directed.

M & L for overhauling of pressure feed filter plant of capacity 27000 LPH by carefully removing the old unserviceable media complete from plant from its installed position carrying out the maintenance with following replacements and reinstalling in its original position and testing on completion and painting of pressure filter all as specified and directed. Note: Pressure feed filter needs to be cleaned and change the media once in a year (a) Sand filter media (Coarse/Fine Sand)

Description all as per Item No 18 above but (b) Dolomite/ Pebbles complete all as specified and as directed.

Servicing / overhauling of Electric driven Vertical / Horizontal split casing Pump sets installed at Pump Houses coupled with upto 15 HP Motor along with following others repairs. (a) Taking out pump from its Position by decoupling from Motor and disconnecting all suction /delivery water connections , setting aside Pump from base plate (b) Dismantaling of Pump complete part by part carefully , degreasing bearing and display all the parts without damaging any portion for inspection of Engineer-in- Charge to ascertain the serviceability of existing parts. (c) Replacement of Gasket set and gland packing rope . (d) Reassembeling the Pump complete with all existing serviceable parts obtained against Item No 19.1, greasing the bearing with bearing grease , and new parts as ordered by Engineer in Charge.(Note : New parts shall be measured and paid separately under appropraite Item here-in-after)

(e) Reinstall the Pump at its existing Position , couple with the Motor and connecting all suction delivery water connections and testing on completion Note:- (i) Any Parts required for replacement shall be measured and paid seperately under appropriate item as ''Supply only'' (s) of this schedule. However labour element involved in replacement is included in unit rate quoted against this Item. (ii) Any unforeseen minor repair and minor parts that are not covered under Items hereinbefore but required to complete the repair work / smooth functioning of Motor / Pump shall be deemed to be included with the unit rate .Transportation of Stator / Rotor parts for machining & rewinding, shaft impeller bushing for machining , welding , turning at lathe shop at Port Blair are also deemed to be included with unit rate. (iii) Rewinding of stator / rotor of motor, any machine work where involved shall be measured and paid separetely against relevant item of this schedule.

Supply and fixing , testing the following materials required for overhauling of RO plant:- (a) 10 micron jumbo filter cartridge

Description all as per Item No 21 above but (b) 5 micron filter cartridge (20"x2")

M & L for overhauling and painting of RO plant of capacity 1000 LPH by carefully dismantling the complete plant from the installed position carrying out the following maintenance and re-installing in its original position including testing in completion complete all as specified and directed. (a) Opening the raw water fed pump (01 No) replacing the unserviceable water seal and re-assembling (b) Disconnecting and removing unserviceable PU4 pipes (Approx 15m) and connecting new PU4 pipes. (c) Steel water tank cleaning and brazing if required of capacity 5000 ltr Note: The materials and element for fixing of items are deemed to be included in the unit rate quoted.

M & L for opening the FRP sand filter (01 No), removing the existing filter media and filling new media complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

M & L opening the FRP Activated Carbon Filter (01 No) removing the eixsting filter media and filling new media complete all as specified and as directed by Engr-in-Charge.

S & F membrane of dimension 4"x40" type of membrane spiral wound complete all as specified and as directed.

S & F Single Phase DOL Starter with enclosure for 2 HP complete all as specified and as directed. Make: L&T, Product Code: CS90319KODO or equivalent in Siemens/ ABB/ C&G/ GE

M & L for Rewinding burnt coils of Induction Motor capacity upto 5 HP obtained from site as defective taken into workshop replace winding with super enamelled copper winding wire as per existing size and guage to achieve the required /specified RPM including taking out old unserviceable winding, cleaning / repairing damaged slots , complete all as specified and directed.

M & L for Rewinding burnt coils of Induction Motor capacity 7.5 to 15 HP obtained from site as defective taken into workshop replace winding with super enamelled copper winding wire as per existing size and guage to achieve the required /specified RPM including taking out old unserviceable winding, cleaning/ repairing damaged slots complete all as specified and directed.

Dismantling existing unserviceable Dozing pump motor and S & F new Dozing pump fitted with all accessories connected to existing pipe line including water tank, complete all as specified and directed.

S & F PVC Water Tank Cap/lid of capacity upto 5000 ltr complete all as specified and directed

Scraping old paint of Electric induction Motor upto 20/15 HP Motor , NC Vertical/ Horizontal / Multi staging Pump , Suction , delivery Pipes, sluice valves , NRV Valves at INS Kardip pumphouse & ICGS Kamorta pumphouse (Approx coverage area of 8-10 Sqm) and Painting with one coat of red oxide paint and two coat of synthetic enamel paint of shade as directed by Engr-in-Charge including writing SM No. complete as all specified and as directed.
