Surface excavation not exceeding 30cm deep & averaging 15cm deep in soft/loose soil complete all as specified & directed.

Removal of excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50 mtr & depositing where directed at a level not exceeding 1.5 mtr above the starting point complete all as specified & directed.

Rolling and consolidating formation surfaces in cutting and compacted to required gradient & camber by 8 tonne to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified & directed.

M&L soling (or sub base) for spread thickness of 150mm with broken boulders or quarried stone of size 50mm to 10mm, interstices filled, surface formed and rolled and consolidated to required gradient and camber by 8 tonne to 12 tonne power road roller complete all as specified & directed.

M&L 150mm thick (compacted thickness) Wet mix macadam (WMM) in two layers (each layer 75mm thick) with coarse stone aggregate (granite, trap or basalt) of grading 2 (63mm to 40mm size ) or of grading 3 (50 mm to 20mm) specification as per clause 406 and as per table 400-13 of yellow book of MORT&H including premixing the material with water at OMC in mechanical mix plant, carriage of mixed material by tipper to site for all leads & lifts, to be laid using mechanical paver, spread watered, rolled & consolidated to required gradient and camber with vibratory type power roller 8 tonne to 12 tonne capacity to achieve the desired density complete all as specified & directed. Note: (i) Payment per unit shall be made for top finished surface area of 150mm thick compacted thickness of WMM. (ii) Mix will be prepared in mixing plant of suitable capacity.

M&L preparation of surfaces of Water Bound Macadam(WBM) or surfaces of Wet Mix Macadam (WMM) by brushing with wire brushes for removing caked mud/grass etc sweeping with brooms and finally fanning the cleaned surface with gunny bags to remove all loose dust/dirt etc and applying evenly a priming/tack coat of bituminous primer (paving bitumen grade VG-10) @ 10 Kg per 10 Sqm by using mechanical sprayer complete all as specified & directed.

M&L laying premix bituminous macadam using 20mm size graded crushed stone aggregate (grading 2 with nominal aggregate size 19mm), mixed with binder content (paving bitumen grade VG-30) @ 4% by weight of total mix, rolled and compacted with 8 tonne to 12 tonne power road roller to required gradient and camber using full width mechanical sensor paver with string sensor (consolidated thickness not exceeding 75 mm) in single layer complete all as specified & directed. Notes: (i) For price adjustment of bitumen & other requirements of design mix, refer Sch 'A' Notes/Particular specifications. (ii) A Board of Officers shall be ordered by Accepting officer to ascertain the quantity & locations of item and GE shall request for the same well before execution.

M&L 40mm thick (consolidated thickness) bituminous pre-mixed, hot mix, semi-dense asphaltic concrete with coarse aggregate of grading 1 as per MORT&H specification in single layer using binder content (paving bitumen grade VG-30) @ 5.5% by weight of the total mix as per design mix including supply and mixing of filler (OPC cement) laid, rolled and compacted to required gradient and camber using full width mechanical sensor paver with string sensor and compacted with 8 tonne to 12 tonne power roller complete all as specified & directed. Note: For price adjustment of bitumen & other requirements of design mix, refer Sch 'A' Notes/Particular specifications.

Forming embankments of soil solids under OMC condition including raising (or lowering) earth, spreading in layers not exceeding 30cm thick; watering, ramming/rolling and finishing to required size, shape, etc., not exceeding. 1.5 mtr high from base complete all as specified & directed. Note: (i) Existing level of ground shall be recorded before raising (or lowering) and shall be approved by GE. (ii) The compaction of earth filling shall be carried out under optimum moisture conditions to the specified percentage of Standard Proctor Density not less than 95 percent. The cost of the same included in quoted rates.

M&L continuous brick edging using sub class “B” burnt clay bricks, old size with width equal to width of bricks laid dry on end vertically including necessary earth work embedding bricks at required depth and tamping ground around brick and removal of surplus soil to a distance not exceeding 100mtr complete all as specified & directed. Note: Brick of class designation 100 i.e. bricks shall be of minimum compressive strength 100Kg/sqcm

M&L preparation of bituminous surface and painting lines, dashes, arrows etc. of width not exceeding 100mm wide on roads/pavements by hot applied thermoplastic road marking paint(white/yellow) inclusive type I reflectorising glass beads as per table 800-3, 800-4 of MORT&H, applied in uniform thickness of atleast 2.5mm and spread uniformly with reflectorising glass beads type II @ 250 gram per sqm & painting materials @ 650 gram per sqm with a road marking machine as per IRC: 35, with traffic diversion arrangements if required, complete as per MORT&H specification clause 803.4, complete all as specified & directed. Note: Hot applied thermoplastic road marking materials shall be confirming to BS 3262-1989.

Excavation in trenches, not exceeding 1.5mtr wide & not exceeding 1.5mtr in depth; for foundation, laying pipes/cables etc. or for shafts, wells, cesspits, manholes, pier holes, etc. not exceeding 10sqm on plan & not exceeding 1.5mtr in depth and getting out, in soft/loose soil complete all as specified & directed.

M&L PCC 1:4:8, type D2, using 40mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregate as in foundation, filling and mass concrete complete all as specified & directed.

M&L Brick work with sub class 'B' burnt clay bricks of old size, designation 75, straight or curved on plan exceeding 6 mtr mean radius, built in cement mortar 1:4 complete all as specified & directed.

M&L 600mm bore reinforced concrete pipes, class NP3 conforming to IS 458, laid and jointed complete with/without collars as required complete all as specified & directed.

M&L rendering 15 mm thick in cement mortar 1:4, finished even and smooth without using extra cement on fair faces of brick or concrete surfaces as in wall complete all as specified & directed.

M&L plain cement concrete(PCC) 1:2:4, type B-1, using 20 mm graded mechanically crushed stone aggregates as in lintels upto 1.5mtr clear span, cills, steps; seismic and other similar bands, plinth courses, string courses, lacing courses, parapets and railings upto 60 cm in height, copings, kneelers, apex stones, bed plates, kerbs, water troughs and the like including weathering, slightly rounded or chamfered angles and throating including necessary formwork to complete all as specified & directed.

M&L preparation of newly plastered surfaces of wall and applying two coat of cement base paint of approved shade/tint complete all as specified & directed.

S&F plastic speed breaker designed so dynamically and compact that it can bear maximum load of it. The body of the speed breaker is made of ABS material. M&L boring of holes under road, pavement, hardstanding for passing/crossing pipes/cables upto size 65mm dia/bore at suitable depth (not less than 600mm below existing surface) by trenchless technology using ultra sounding technique and using necessary machinery / equipments complete without damaging the surface and removing excavated soil to a distance not exceeding 50mtr complete all as specified & directed. Notes : (i) Location of boring holes shall be decided by the Engineer-in-charge as per requirement, nothing extra shall be payable on account of variation in length of crossing of road etc. (ii) During boring soil strata may be changed, hence nothing extra shall be paid to the contractor for boring of holes through different strata/different type of soil. (iii) The pipes/cables shall measured & paid seperately.

M&L double wall corrugated (DWC) HDPE pipe outer dia 63mm & inner dia 50mm as per IS 14930(part-2) with end cap laid in trenches, under road, under floor or fixed to wall or along the pole with fixing arrangement etc for cable protection complete all as specified & directed.

M&L earthing complete with galvanized steel earth plate 60cm X 60cm X 6mm thick buried vertically in ground to depth not less than 2.25 mtr below ground level, with top edge of earth plate not less than 1.5 mtr below ground level, connected to GI earth lead wire 4.00mm dia upto 7.5 mtr long by means of bolts, nuts, check nuts and washers of galvanized iron and connection to earthing test point & earth dolly including watering pipe GI 20 mm bore, light grade including protection pipe GI medium grade 15mm bore , wire mesh, funnel,lugs, salt, charcoal dust, excavation & earthwork in soft/losse soil and refilling pit chamber with PCC 1:3:6 type C-1 using 20 mm graded mechnically crushed stone aggregates , RCC 1:2:4 type B-1 using 20 mm graded mechnically crushed stone aggregates pit cover slab 40 mm thick reinforced with 8 mm dia TMT bars @ 15 cm c/c both ways including necessary form work all as shown in electrical plate No 3 of SSR part-I, including testing on completion on site complete all as specified & directed. Notes :- Any variation in length of earth lead and protection pipe of earth lead shall be measured & paid seperately. On testing if the earth resistance is not obtained, earthing will be generated at no extra cost ,till the desired earth resistance is obtained. The chamber shall be constructed atleast 1.5 mtr away from the earth electrode.
