Railways shall purchase this item from Pharma CPSEs and their subsidiaries where the Govt. of India owns 51 percent share or above subject to their meeting good manufacturing practice norms as per Schedule M of drugs and cosmetic rules.

In case Pharma CPSEs and their subsidiaries fail to supply/quote for the medicines, the procuring entity would be at liberty to make purchase from other manufacturers. If the Pharma CPSEs or their subsidiaries fail to perform as per P.O., they would also be subject to payment of liquidated damages or any other penalty as per IRS conditions of contract.

These items are in CPSE reserved list hence above eligibility is applicable

Product will be regarded as one salt. Various strength of same will be regarded as one product as per para 2.1.3 of DPP 2014/RS(G)/779/13 dated 03.02.2015

The eligibility criteria stated/mentioned at Sr. No. 1 & 2, will only be applicable if the tendered items are available in the list of medicines reserved for procurement from Pharma CPSEs, which is in line with the guidelines issued by Railway Board regarding implementation of Pharmaceuticals Preferential Purchase policy over Indian Railways.

The firm will mention name(s) of specific stores of area where such drug is being sold in the open market. The zone will undertake random 5% check to establish that the product quoted by the firm is actually available in the store(s) mentioned by the firm. Further, if at the point of time of inspection such drug is not available in the Store (s) due sale of available stock, the retailer will be asked to provide a copy of purchase memo/supply order of the product from the firm.

The bidders are required to quote rates for one tablet/capsule.

The bidder confirms that rates and other financial terms quoted in relevant columns of financial bid will only be ruling terms for acceptance, and such terms quoted anywhere else should be ignored. (Denial of this condition not recommended).

Make in India policy will be applicable as per the conditions of the tender documents attached & it is in line with the guidelines issued by Railway Board.The purchase will be made from only those firms who have more than minimum local content as prescribed in the make in India policy. However this policy will not be applicable for small purchases having value less than 5 Lakh or items included in MII exemption list issued by ministry of finance (for tender invited within validity of exemption ).
